Characters: Remy Lebeau and OTA Setting: New York City, night club? Content: questionable accents Summary: Open thread! Bored, Remy goes for a night on the town.
It was a terrible idea to let Remy Lebeau get bored. Many terrible things had come from it and in the end, there would probably a number of terrible things that would come from it in the future. Tonight, it was actually relatively mild as far as his exploits went. He had charmed his way through the line into one of the swankier night clubs on the upper east side. It wasn't nearly as difficult as it might have been had he not been able to flash a smile - with a hint of that charm that seemed so helpful in times like these - and slip through into the interior of the club with the ease bore from years of navigating smoky rooms and places far less posh than this. It wasn't the best of the area but it was good enough that he would be pretty inconspicuous among the crowd for the time-being.
The clothes were better than the holey jeans and faded t-shirts he could usually be found lurking about in at the school, nicer pants and a shirt with buttons in it. No tie - where was the fun in that? - but he'd cleaned up well to be out in public for the night, whatever came of it. This wasn't exactly the locale for a nice brawl but he was sure something would come up.
While it was true he did know the meaning of a low profile (despite a number of comments to the contrary), Remy simply had enough of that in the last few weeks. There were a number of his old contacts that thought he was dead (the ones he hoped would remain that way for quite some time) and those who did remember him probably were skirting around the idea of doing business with him again. Make no mistake, he could still get jobs; he just didn't need them. Right now, he needed something to do. But the county was boring and the school, for all that it was filled to brim with mutants with questionable grips on their powers, was just as boring most of the time. And he could find a spot somewhere in here to have a seat, a drink, and maybe something (or someone) to take the time off his hands.
