There were a lot of things Tony missed about Wanda's presence in the Tower, including that irresistible smile, but anyone asking that question with that kind of sincerity was not one of them. No one else did that. Everyone else on the planet knew to expect and accept 'fine'. Not adhering to these rules was some kind of selfless cruelty. "I thought," he answered quickly before the question was allowed to bind as a cohesive part of the conversation, dropping her hands where he had taken them up in her distraction with the security guard to touch his fingertips to hers, "it had to be exhausting to always be the most beautiful girl in the room." He glanced back at the tank behind him, then toward the door that would take them out to the empty, dark paths and solitude of the closed aquarium with a lopsided smile. That was a charming enough excuse for the strange outing.
"We just have to skip the whales," he added conspiratorially as he swept a hand down Wanda's back to draw her along with him. With a lisp and his voice pitched low he imitated what was presumably a whale, "Look at that skinny bitch, I hope she dies."
