Knowing Hank, he had likely tried his hardest to enthusiastically explain the intricate processes involved in the Wasp's ability set, but he suffered from something Tony was very familiar with; a complex string of technical jargon versus Jan's patience. Trying to put it all in layman's terms was far more frustrating, though, because it led to something like:
"Cute?" Giving Jan the benefit of the doubt, Tony could accept that her wording was ambiguous and she might have meant 'build something for me that is cute' and not 'the Iron Man is cute.' Even if she hadn't intended to offend the integrity of his design, she couldn't really expect him to produce something that was adorable. That was so far outside of his vision. He wrapped an arm around Jan's waist again to pull her from the counter and onto her feet so they could both find somewhere to sit, keeping her in one hand and his coffee in the other. That wasn't such a bad arrangement. Tony could consider collaborating for once.
