The proximity alarms that suddenly flared up in Tony's head took him by complete surprise, stalling everything else he was working on and making him spin to catch the attack head on. Instinctively, complex wings of control surfaces flared out of his back, repulsor points lighting up along his spine to keep him stable as he caught the unexpected projectile, leaving him staring with wide eyes into Janet's as she made absolutely zero sense at all.
Instead of answering, Tony asked his own question, "Where did you come from?", the laugh in his voice not quite as audible as his confusion. He would accept either an immediate departure point or a more macro explanation of her entirely extraterrestrial behaviour. The aliens Tony knew weren't always this weird, though. Alien or not, Tony really was glad to get that hug.
