He could almost tell that he had somewhat offended Logan. There was a moment where he felt like saying he was sorry, but he didn't. He would let it pass. Hearing his friend tell him how far off this was from Xavier, he felt like a pile of shit.
Looking up to him, his stern face softened. "Look, Logan...I plan on keeping Xavier's dream intact. He is just pulled in too many directions at the moment to see what needs to be done." Once again, this was a tricky slope to Magneto-town. "Some threats can't be fixed by talking nice and playing monopoly. That is what this team will be for, but I hope it doesn't need to be used very often."
That was the truth. If Sinister popped up and started trouble, he could send X-force in to handle the problem. If Magneto decided to attack NYC, then the X-men handled it. It was going to be an odd balancing act, but he felt he could pull it off.
"As for members, I don't think anyone fits besides you. That is why it is on both of us to keep an eye out for canidates." So far, no one came to mind. They were going to be an army of two, with Wolverine doing the heavy lifting and Cyclops doing the thinking. It would be a weird creature, but it had to be done.
"If you see something, let me know. I will do the same." He paused for a moment, almost shocked he was about to show inner thoughts to Logan of all people. Sadly, he was the closest thing to a friend Scott had. "Do I sound crazy, Logan? Am I way off on thinking this is the only solution?"
