OK, X-lovers!

Mod!Xi has put together an exciting and LARGE tournament this month! We have done our best to accommodate everyone's desires, however a few people went out a bit sooner than requested. With 11 characters involved, we couldn't entirely avoid this. We appreciate your understanding and enthusiasm! Player vs player threads should be threaded out, NPC matches can be written out or summarized at the beginning of another fight. If you need ideas, prompts or general questions about the tournament, feel free to ask the mods, or check out the !tournament tag to see past fights. We cannot wait to see this month's fights!

Hello, lovelies~!

For those of you who missed the announcement in the chat last night, we wanted to recap the information and give you all time to prepare for it. Our lovely mod Xi is going to be phasing herself out of the game, as at the end of July she may well have to leave the game as she is moving--to China! This is a very big and exciting event for her, even if we will miss her terribly. Before anyone starts to panic, we want to assure that the game is not closing, we will be continuing on and David will be looking for a co-mod eventually.

That said, the plot we are cooking up to work her out should be very exciting! It will take place in a few weeks and will result in the destruction of at least one block, at least one death and could result in escapes and all around in-character drama fun~! More details will be revealed as we near the date, so stay tuned!

If you want to be involved in the July Tournament, please comment here, and adding in how far you would like to see your mutant get would be glorious. Commenting before Friday (the 26th) would be ideal if possible. ( More info on Tournaments )

Okay, mutant lovers!

I know it feels like we just had one, but next weekend will be the island's monthly tournament! Oooh aaah! That means it is time for us modly types to start plotting it all out, which means it is time for a role call of who wants to participate and how far you'd like for each character to go. We will do our best to incorporate your desires into the tournament planning, as always the quality of the writing counts for much more than the "end result" of how many rounds your character goes. If your goal is to move your character/s up, be sure to toss your hat into the ring, but also take the time to read the How to Move Up page for more details/info! Please do not sign up for the tournament if you do not have time to write out at least one fight.

The participation in month's tournament was a little disappointing, but we hope to more than make up for the month of May! Just comment if your characters are in and out, and if you have a preference as to how far you would, ideally, like to see them go, early elimination/lasting several rounds is a perfectly acceptable request. Please also keep in mind that while our player group is small, the island hosts the vast majority of the world's mutant population, so think of your character vs the powers of those mutants in the entire X-men universe, not just those in our little game.

We will post the tournament matchups and open up the threads for the tourney ASAP!

Tonight is our weekly group chat, everyone is invited but it is not required, tonight's chat will be pushed back an hour due to conflicts in schedules. That means the chat will begin at 9PM EST! This is an extra special chat as it will be a great time to start plotting out your fights for April's tournament!

Alright everyone;

I know you all are gearing up for the tournament like us Modly Types are. However, before you all start writing like mad, I've got a few details for you.

The fighters will number 40. There will be five pits for the first round and then four after that. There are four flights of fighting until the semifinals and here is how it works out after broken into rounds:

Hello islanders.

So, as you know, a tournament is coming up on the 7th, that's this Saturday. Since not everyone will be able to make the chat, and because it's much easier to have the plot down on page that is easy to access, I'm tossing this thread up for discussion of the tournament. No one is required to fight, but it makes for some fun plot!

So, I ask people to please post out their mutants, if they are going to be in the tournament and if you have preferences on if they win or lose the first round, and if there's anyone you'd like for them to fight. There will be plenty of NPC's for people to fight, but squaring off against another player can lead to awesome dramarific plot bunnies.

So, post away and feel free to poke other players for potential matchups. I'll do my best to keep a running list of who is in, who is out, and who wants to go how far here for reference :3
