[Somewhere in the night, Ariel makes a trip to Amadeus's in the middle of his nightly business to leave behind a bit of sort-of-gaudiness and something infinitely more practical. The only sign of it being a gift from him is an atrociously tied bow from an old piece of ribbon.]

At dusk, there was pecking at Felix Moon's window as a rather large raven sat outside of it. There was a piece of parchment curled up and tied to its leg. The paper read:

Here's your message by raven as requested. While they can be nasty buggers to work with if you offend them, in a city like New York you'll be hard-pressed to find a better set of eyes on the streets. You'd be surprised how little people think about seeing ravens among the filth and everyday clutter of the city as it presses in around them.

By the way, he claims his name is Esselios. Good luck befriending him. Treat him well enough and maybe he'll tell you the secrets he has seen.
