An American Dream

Mayhill is a small former-factory town a few miles from the Kansas/Missouri border. Founded in 1896 by Prewitt J. Mayhill this ideal location has survived the dust bowl, floods, tornadoes (one earthquake) and the factory being closed down in the mid-sixties. Currently boasting a population of 7,302 it can easily claim to the old values of Americana.
Perhaps you’ve seen the exit signs as you make your way to the big cities- perhaps even saw a news clip when someone won the big 8 lotto a few years back, but more than likely? It’s a place that you’ve long since forgot, or never even thought to remember. Their only real claim to fame is that the Fox-3 weatherman used to be a line-backer for the high school football team.
Just take a stroll down main street and you can see how beautiful it is. Stop by the antique shop- the used book store with its home brewed coffee selection. Perhaps even go visit the historic downtown area and stroll along the boulevard. You’ll see soon enough that Mayhill is the place to be.

There is only one dark spot on this beautiful community’s history- back in the mid-eighties, a number of young women (and one man) went missing. Most assume they just ran away or got caught up in the city life and never came home. Surely it hasn’t been on anyone’s mind that a local cheerleader ran away- after all, she always said she wanted out of this town.

And a few rules to follow...

In Mayhill we like to do things a certain way to keep things nice and peaceful. Here, you'll find just a few basics, but for detailed explanations on what our rules are, please consult the following post.

Furthermore, if you're appping a character to the game, please be mindful of the setting. In a small community such as Mayhill, it's highly unlikely that one would encounter any of the following: movie stars, billionaires, royalty, and so on and so forth. If you're stuck and maybe need a bit of inspiration for an occupation or if you're wanting to fill a vacancy in the community, please refer to the local business listings.
