Chris and Hayate: Confessions of a jealous teenager

[info]runasone
Who: Chris and Hayate
When: November 10, 2007 - Afternoon
Where: Start - Near the café, End - Hayate's cottage
What: Hayate isn't the only one who gets possessive

Chris had been in a bad mood ever since the day she spied Hayate with another woman. The image was burned on her memory, a wretched reminder that the boy that she liked had been holding hands with another girl! She stomped everywhere she went, and her brother knew better than to get in her way. She didn't answer him when he asked her what was wrong, choosing to give him the evil eye instead of telling him her problems. He was a boy, and at that point Chris thought that all boys were jerks.

The young girl hadn't left the water bungalow until today, her feet dragging her toward the Market Place. Chris wasn't going anyplace in particular she just needed to walk around to clear her mind, but all she kept thinking about was Hayate and how she missed him. But she didn't want to miss him - he didn't deserve to be missed! He was with someone else, holding hands with someone else, and he was a big jerk because of it!

She growled under her breath, steam rising from her parted lips. It was chilly out, and there was some snow on the ground from the morning. Was this their first snow of the season? Chris didn't know, and she didn't care at the moment. She sighed a little, and lifted her head to see where she was going. Her breath caught in her chest and she stopped dead in her tracks. There, standing in front of the café, was Hayate. Chris looked around for the other girl, but it seemed as if the vampire was alone. Unable to move from her spot (since it seemed her feet had a mind of their own) Chris decided to glare at him. Her anger rose in her chest as her eyes remained fixed on the vampire.

History of Hayate: Guns & Requisitions

[info]splitimpulse
Who: Hayate — and some unfortunate punks.
When: Sometime in the late summer/early fall of 1992.
Where: New York City, New York.
What: Hayate moves in, and some others want him to move out.
WARNINGS: Not for the squeamish or faint of heart! Grotesque violence and gore. Also, some really nasty language.

The warehouse was situated beside a muggy street and surrounded by alleyways filled with pipes and black iron fire escapes, each glistening with moisture and dripping from either the rain or the remarkable humidity. Empty, abandoned buildings filled this quarter, left behind and forgotten by the community. However, it wasn't entirely forgotten. A few stray citizens occupied the area or passed through with severe caution in their gleaming eyes. None of them would talk to the cops, though. That was what Hayate liked about the area: seclusion and silence. They knew this was a bad part of town, and they weren't going to chance their already lowered survival rate by talking about their neighbors as well.

Hayate liked the small warehouse. It had a large open area and only three — separate and smaller — rooms total: a bathroom and two offices, one on the lower floor and one on the upper floor. In fact, the two floors were connected. A staircase led up to a thin landing maybe ten feet in width with a rail at the edge, which comprised of the "top floor" architecture. At the end of the landing, there was a door that led to an office — his bedroom now, and connected to that was the bathroom. It was stationed right above the lower office.

The rest of the open warehouse was spacious, although dusty with a lot of cracked paint. Hayate didn't mind the dust or cracked paint. After throwing a few things around, clearing it out, and bringing in some of his own furniture (all of it stolen), it was beginning to look like home sweet home.

He had only just set up the place a few days ago. As he was heading back on this particular night and opening the door, he found the cold barrel of a gun up against the back of his head. )

Chris & Hayate : Glamour with a vampire

[info]runasone
Who: Chris and Hayate
Where: Hayate's cottage
When: Before sunset, September 20, 2007
What: Chris visits Hayate (again) with a different look

It was a gorgeous night for a walk in Chris's opinion, and an even better night to visit her favorite vampire. The young human girl had spent the evening in town wandering about the shops aimlessly. She hadn't been shopping for anything in particular and she didn't have any specific plans. She had just been bored back at the forest cottages and decided that she needed fresh air.

It wasn't until she had reached the magical supplies shop did the girl find anything interesting. "A magical potion to change hair color? Are you sure?" There was a doubtful look on the girl's face as she crossed her arms at the shopkeeper. The kind man smiled and held out the small, yellow vile toward her silently urging her to try the concoction.

"As sure as I am alive!" He assured her with a kind grin.

And so the girl took the vile and downed the contents. It might not have been a very smart thing to do in hindsight. Chris didn't know if the old man was dangerous or if the potion would be poisonous to her. She didn't think anyone in Elysium would want to harm her and she trusted the shopkeeper's words. And sure enough Chris's golden locks began to turn into a deep shade of brown. The girl squealed out loud, bouncing on her toes as she thanked the man profusely.

"Now remember, it'll only last for a few hours," he reminded her as Chris bounded out of the shop and toward the cottages. She had to share her 'new' hair with Hayate and get his opinion. She rushed toward the familiar cottage and knocked on the door for a moment before she burst in. "Hayate! Lookit at my hair!" She looked around for the vampire and blinked when she didn't spot him right away. She turned on her spot and placed her hands on her hips and sighed out loud. "Well where did he go?" she muttered dejectedly as she blew a strand of hair away from her eyes.
