Dominic - Politicians don't rest, not even when it's cold
Who: Dominic [Narrative]
When: January 2, 2008 - afternoon
Where: The Market Place
What: Campaigning - what else?

The wind was cold, and biting. It reminded Dominic of being out in the Northern Atlantic when he was in the Navy. He loved the open waters, but he wasn't a fan of the cold. He pulled the collar of his jacket over the scarf that was wrapped around his neck. "Damn cold," he muttered beneath his breath as he walked around the market place to meet-and-greet the people he passed. The siren was surprised that there were quite a few people out on such a cold day - half of them didn't even look like the cold bothered them at all. Dominic said 'hello' to everyone, and gave them small hand-outs of his original campaign poster.

"Hi, I'm Dominic Powell, and I'm running for Vice-Council," he told them with a grin that was made for politics. "I just want to make a difference if I can," he added after he gave them a hand-out. The siren made sure that he added a little bit of magic with every word that spilled from his lips. There wasn't a rule against using his magic to give himself a nudge, was there? At least the Head Council hadn't said anything about it in the beginning. As far as he was concerned it was part of his campaigning technique, and he didn't do it enough for it to become suspicious. He controlled his power well enough now, and he knew just how much to use, and when to use it.

Shops were more than happy to place his posters in their window, and Dominic took the time to talk to the shop keepers about what they hoped to see in the future in Elysium. He listened to each of them, and made it seem like he really cared. A part of him did, but there was another part that saw the bigger picture of it all. He had to win a place on the Vice Council. So much of the future depended on it.
