Who: Rosalinda & Zane
When: Afternoon
Where: Art Wing, Arts & Trade Enclave.
What: Making friends and poking fun at each other.

“Don’t make fun of it!” Rosalinda cried, playfully pushing at Zane’s arm. “It does not look like a vulture!” She gestured futilely at her not-so-grand attempt to make decorative pottery. “It’s a vase with spouts and handles! Not a vulture! If I wanted to make an animal, I would have taken up taxidermy—not art!”

Rosalinda and Zane were in the Art Wing of the Arts and Trade Enclave. They started out working apart from each other on separate projects, but they began talking somewhere in the middle of it all. Few people were there today, and the silence grew boring and monotonous very quick. Soon enough the two of them were giving each other pointers on what to do. Rosalinda was making something for herself, and Zane had been making something for his wife—a lovely lady Rosalinda didn’t have the pleasure of meeting yet, but she sounded wonderful according to Zane’s description. She ought to have been, or he probably wouldn’t have married her.

She was feeling sad for her vase, but she couldn’t stop the laughter either. Rosalinda brought a hand to her mouth and shook her head. “It is not that bad, it’s not,” she said adamantly, trying to find a sliver of pride in her creation. Rosalinda gestured at Zane’s creation, purposefully picking on his after he had made fun of hers. “Yours isn’t any better!” she declared stoutly as she crossed her arms. “It looks more like Medusa’s head.”

Who: Those injured in the confrontation with Danté, Medical Pavilion Staff, and anyone else who'd like to join in
When: Late morning
Where: Medical Pavilion
What: Treating the injured, and other various little scenes

The medical pavilion was usually busy with minor things, the sort of everyday injuries that one would expect to see in small cities. There were no gunshots wounds to worry about, or car accidents to pry people from. There were no rapes, or gang related incidents. The 'normal' injuries that could be found in a secluded haven like Elysium were things like cuts, and scrapes. Occasionally a broken bone would come through the place, or a baby would be born, and the staff could always count on the full moon to bring them lycan related injuries.

So when the victims from the altercation with a non-full moon crazed werewolf came in the night before the medical pavilion staff was excited to say the least. It wasn't the idea of having injured citizens that was exciting, but it was the chance to use their skills to the fullest that was. Granted everyone would rather have injury free people in the haven, but there were something that felt right about getting the chance to use the skills you had to help the people around you.

Needless to say Zane didn't sleep all night, and he was still going strong the next morning when it came time to check in on the patients. "I need someone to check in on Ms. Wilson in room three, Mr. Connolly in room five, and Mr. Ishikawa in room seven. Get their vitals, see if they're awake yet, and if there are any complications then come and get me. So, any volunteers?"

Who: Amada and Zane
When: Afternoon
Where: The Market
What: Amada sneaks out to get things to make dinner for Zane but it appears she's caught! (lemme know if this is okay!)

Amada shouldn't be taken wrong. She was more than flattered Zane was making her food and catering to her needs while she was laying low through the beginnings of her pregnancy. Especially recently when her morning sickness was hitting her with a vengeance. But she noticed it was getting better now and she didn't have to take so much time getting up in the morning. She didn't think Zane would mind if she was just at the market during the daytime. In fact she didn't even think he would be around for the day, leaving her to believe he would think she was just relaxing and painting. She was more than happy he was at the Medical Pavilion because she was certain he was being of great help.

The fire mage wanted to make him something spicy, so after she went to the Magical Supply Shop and the Herbalist to get a few things that were harmless to the pregnancy that helped with her sickness, she headed on to the Fresh Food Pavilion. The weather was frigid and some of the key ingredients didn't seem to be available. Making a small "hmm" noise she headed into the Restaurant.

The employees were kind enough to hand her missing ingredients and she left the premise waving at a few people she chatted with for a bit who wondered where she was for a few months. Okay, hmm. Not really essential, but her next stop was the bakery. She found her self near smiling from ear to ear. It was nice to get out and appreciate the fresh air.

Who: Zane, Hayate, and Chris
When: Late morning, a few hours after this
Where: Medical Pavilion
What: Hayate is treated for his near-death experience

Zane was beginning to wonder just what sort of people were living in Elysium. This was the second time he had been confronted with a poisoning. The first had been Malcolm with a substance that mimicked a heart attack. This time, a vampire was given blood thinners. It wasn't a "traditional" form of poisoning, but for a vampire blood thinners were deadly. Zane had a hard time believing that it had been accidental especially since the blood bank in the pavilion took every precaution with the blood they gave the vampire population. It had gotten into this man's blood supply, and someone had put it there.

The plot thickens, unlike Hayate's blood unfortunately... )

Who: Zane and Theora
When: Evening
Where: Medical Pavilion / Lab
What: Discussing current research

There had been very little progress in the homicide investigation that the Head Council was conducting. The only witness to the crime had passed out before he could see anything, and the only thing that was left behind was a gold necklace. Several strands of blonde hair were caught in between the fine, gold weaving. It was their only clue, and while it didn't provide any immediate answers it was better than nothing.

The Head Council had employed the help of the medical staff at the pavilion. Their experience in biology and chemistry was the key to gleaning some information from those wayward strands of hair. It was a difficult endeavor especially since they lacked any equipment that could test and compare the DNA found in the hair. DNA was the only concrete thing they could count on.

But the medical team knew... )

[info]obscurite
Who: Nolan and Zane
When: Evening
Where: The Medical Pavilion
What: Epic fail leads to meeting one awesome doc.

During the harpy attack, Nolan was resting comfortably in his cottage, not even giving a damn that some of those shrieking monsters hit up against his residence. It just took a book and humming to ignore the noises in the background. Yeah, some might say he was an asshole for not helping out, but who was to say someone would have helped him out should the situation have gotten out of hand? Oh well, it was over now.

When he stepped out of his cottage, he decided to think about what would happen if a situation arouse where he had to defend himself if any weird shit happened again. He wasn’t one for running and he wasn’t a sword wielding lunatic. He guessed it all counted on his “powers” if he could call it that. It had been awhile since he had practiced so he canvassed the area for something to try to use. Hmm..a pipe. Easy enough.

“Alright, let’s work these magic hands.” It was just a damn pipe so he shouldn’t really have concentrated on it like he was expected to move a building. The thing flung towards him at near lightning speed and got him right above the eye knocking him to the ground. What a hit to the ego.

He kind of just laid there for a moment, thinking he was okay before he realized his forehead was bleeding pretty bad. “Awh fuck.” No to mention he had a killer headache. “Let’s hope this earns me some Vicodin or some shit.”

He covered his forehead with only his palm and stalked to the Medical Pavilion. When he arrived at what he guessed was the main area he tapped on the wall with his bloodied hand but then started to scrub the wall with his jacket. “Shit.” While still scrubbing he called out to the person he saw. “Aye. You the person like in charge or some shit?”

What: Corisanthias goes door to door to try to garner the peoples votes.

Corisanthias was not quite sure what he was doing, but he had made up his mind and now he was bound to his decision. He had somewhat of a message to relay, which kept running through his head as he focused on not tripping over his own feet. He had been planning on focusing more on the murders that had occurred, but now with the recent Harpy attack he had even less of an idea what to focus on. He hoped at least that when he began to talk to people he might figure out exactly what they were worried the vice-council would take care of.

Which might help him understand a little more what exactly he was supposed to do if he managed to procure a seat on it.

He inhaled deeply and stepped up to the doorstep, hoping he would not make too big of a fool of himself. He had even decided to dress for the occasion, with a T-shirt and a pair of pants which were making him feel severely constricted, but less like a loon. He reached down and tugged on his pants to try to loosen them a little, and with that, he exhaled, put on a rather strained smile and knocked.

Who: Zane [Narrative]
When: At the end of the harpy attack
Where: Medical pavilion
What: As the harpy attack dwindles so begins the patching up.

The harpy attack was devastating but thankfully no one had perished because of it. There were still a few harpies attacking the medical pavilion itself, threatening to come in to cause more damage. Zane stood at the front, his psychokinetic abilities coming forth to defend the people inside.

"Oh you think you're so tough, dontcha ugly?! Yeah?" He shouted above their screeches as if they were replying to him. "Well, let's see how tough you are after this!" Zane extended his left arm outward, his hand curled into a claw as if he were grabbing onto a neck. In fact, the doctor was using his powers to simulate the act of choking the life out of the birds. The harpy struggled under his powerful grasp, and as another one approached to attack Zane used his right hand to 'smack' it out of the way. It flew away though there were still three or four that were flying around menacingly.

"You guys doing all right back there?" Zane looked over his shoulder at the healers (magical and non-magical alike) as they were helping with the wounded. Zane did his best to help keep the creatures at bay. He really wanted to help the people that had been hurt, but the most he could do now was serve as the first line of defense. Most of the people that had been injured were inside anyway with the exception of a few stragglers that were coming in slowly. He wouldn't be able to do anything until the harpies were gone, and he hoped that would be soon.

He continued to swat them away like annoying flies, but he could only go on so long using his powers at full force. He was getting tired, but thankfully as he smacked another one away the remaining harpies decided to take their leave. Their incessant shrieks were fading into the distance, and Zane looked at their grotesque bodies as they flew back to their nest. He shuddered a bit, leaning against the frame of one the doors. It was over, and now he could tend to the wounded. He looked over his shoulder at the ones that were already in the pavilion, and then back toward the entrance where more people were trickling in. It was going to be a busy night, that much was certain, but he wouldn't leave the building until each and every person had been taken care of.

The sounds of happy parade goers filled the evening air as the citizens of Elysium marched from the town toward the festival near the Ancient Elven Tree. Many of the citizens were dressed in costume, and it was obvious that they had been looking forward to the All Hallow's Eve event. The lively music, provided by the fauns, set the overall tone of the parade. Many of the citizens were singing along to the music, while others whooped and cheered. Their path toward the Ancient Elven Tree was lighted by magical sparklers that never lost their energy, and some citizens even had hand-held sparklers that they waved around happily. Sorcerers enchanted objects to light up the sky like fireworks, while small fairies fluttered around the citizens like fireflies.

Onto the festivities! )

Who: Malcolm and OPEN (maybe loved ones and a medical professional?)
Where: Medical Pavilion
When: Afternoon
What: Recovering from his "heart attack"

Malcolm was tired. It had been a few days since his brush with death and his body was still recovering. No one seemed to quite certain what happened to him yet. The Doctors were running a lot of tests, trying to discover what happened and how exactly to take care of him now.

He wasn't sure he wanted his friends and family around him at the moment. He was scared. Scared he was going to die. His father had died of a heart attack. He hadn't been as young as Malcolm, but it still ran in the family. He had never had this sort of experience before. Even with the virus and everything, he hadn't had a real touch with death. But now he had one. He didn't want those he loved to see him so weak and vulnerable.

He was too tired to do anything other than lay in bed. He couldn't even work up the energy to read. He laid back and waited for one of the many doctors to come in and update him on his condition.

Who: Zane and Amada
When: Afternoon
Where: Their water bungalow
What: Zane surprises Amada with some lunch

"Honey, I'm home!" Zane called out when he entered the bungalow, his arms laden with two large bags from the café. The doctor had stopped by the café to pick up some lunch for himself and Amada. His wife had been working hard on her art in the spare room that they had converted into her studio. She had been so focused lately that Zane rarely saw her outside of the studio unless it was time to go to sleep or wake up. Her concentration, although good for her work, was detrimental to her health, and she had gotten sick as a result.

"Hey babe," said the doctor as he entered the bedroom where his wife was snuggled under the covers. Zane began to unpack the two bags of food onto the dresser, pulling out sandwiches, soup, and some fruit. "I brought us some lunch." He turned around and held up a hand to stop her from speaking. "I know, I know, you can take care of yourself," he said with a smirk. "But can't a man take care of his wife sometime?" He chuckled a little. "Now I'm not a genius in the kitchen like you, hence picking up stuff at the café."

Using his powers, Zane levitated bowls, spoons, and plates from the kitchen and floated them through the living room and toward their bedroom. They arrived moments later, and Zane emptied the soup into a bowl for Amada first. It was still hot, and Zane blew on it gently to cool it for his wife. He walked over toward the bed, and settled upon it next to her. "Think you can feed yourself," he asked with a smirk. "Or do you want me to feed you?" He scooped up some of the soup with the spoon and began to make airplane noises as it hovered in the air. "Open wide! I'm coming in for a landing!" Zane chuckled a bit, hoping the small bit of humor would make Amada feel better.

[info]nospoon
Who: Everyone
When: 5 PM
Where: The Mausoleum by the Temple
What: Dr. James Pryce's wake

Zane stood in front of his mirror, adjusting the tie just one more time before he would slip on the black jacket. He could hear Pryce's voice in his mind, "Why so dressed up, Smithy? Planning on getting laid tonight?" The thought made him smile a little, only to find that the idea of never having to hear his friend's voice tore him up inside. He swallowed the lump in his throat, and smoothed out his hair before he left for the mausoleum.

The tone was somber as with any funeral service. The attendees were downtrodden, and a few of them were crying. Zane was trying his best not to be effected by it, but it was hard when there at the front of the room was Pryce's coffin. It was left open for anyone who wanted to come up and say a few words to the dearly departed, or for anyone who wanted to pay their respects. Though many people did not know Doctor Pryce personally, many knew of him since he was one of the few doctors in Elysium.

The service was presided over by Theora, and the Elven priestess spoke words that offered comfort for those who felt the loss the deepest. "Do not think of James as being gone," she said. "For he will live on forever in our hearts and memories. We honor him best by living our lives to the fullest." Zane had kept his emotions in check until the moment he walked up to Pryce's coffin. The top half was left open, and Pryce was lying inside, dressed up in his nicest suit. He looked like he was sleeping, and in some ways that brought Zane some comfort.

"This is it, buddy," he said in a low voice. The tears that had welled up in his eyes were falling down his face now, and the doctor made no attempt to hide them. "Look at you, all dressed up. I don't think I've seen you this dressed up since the wedding." He chuckled a little through the streaming tears, wiping them away with the heel of his hand. "I can't believe you keeled over on me before our next poker night," he added, trying to make light of the situation. "Dammit..." The jokes weren't working as well as he thought, but he kept talking. "Thanks for everything, but most of all, thanks for being my friend. It won't be the same without you." Zane wiped at his tears again and moved to pat Pryce's cold hands as they lay folded along his middle. "See you later, buddy."

And with that Zane moved away from the coffin, making room for the next person to say a few words to the late Doctor James Pryce.

[info]nospoon
Who: Zane and Adio
When: Early evening
Where: The wine bar
What: Drowning away his sorrows with some alcohol

James Pryce's death hit Zane harder than he initially let on. He was there at the Medical Pavilion when his friend's body was brought in, and he was present during the autopsy that was performed on him. He had died of a heart attack while he was out jogging, and he had already been dead for an hour or two by the time anyone found him. His closest friend in Elysium... dead. It was a shitty day to start his morning.

The overall tone at the Medical Pavilion had been a somber one. One of their colleagues had passed away, and it was obvious that it had effected everyone. There were no cheery smiles on any of the staff's faces, and no light-hearted jokes being tossed around to one another. Everyone was just dreary, and looking to get the day over with as soon as possible.

Theora had come by to offer initial blessings, and to help prepare for the funeral the following day. Zane would have to tell the twins about Pryce's passing, and Amada. But he wouldn't do it right away; he couldn't. He was too devastated to do anything other than drag himself to the wine bar to drink himself into a stupor. Zane didn't want to think; he didn't want to feel. James Pryce was more than just a colleague, he was a mentor and a friend. Zane had learned so much from him in the short amount of time they had known each other. It was far too short, in Zane's opinion.

He had ordered some scotch from the bartender, and downed it quickly. Zane ordered another, and it disappeared just as fast. The bartender didn't say anything when Zane ordered two more, gulping them both in consecutive order, and then tapping the glass again for a refill. His latest glass was the one he took his time with. Zane swirled the amber colored liquid around, eyes focusing on the way it moved within its crystal prison. He barely took notice of his surroundings, or of the person who had taken a seat next to him.

Who: Zen and Zhou Yun and open
When: Noon
Where: Combat Gym
What: Sparring

There was much commotion going on at the Combat Gym as the twins carried on with their daily training sessions. The two were going at each other with everything they had, matching blow for blow. The twins were in sync with each other, matching one another’s movements as they began to actually get into their training. “Come on bro, I thought you were faster than that,” Zhou shouted back at Zen.

“I thought the same thin. You must be getting old,” said Zen laughing.

Zen and Zhou went a few rounds with their hand to hand combat skills, not one backing down from the other. “Just like old times, right?” Zhou asked.

“Yeah you’re right, it is just like old times,” Zen replied. The two went along with their “sparring” match. “Hey, let’s use the swords we got from our master,” Zen suggested.

“Alright, let’s do it then,” the two replied. Both of them headed for their swords and began practicing with the blades.

Their swords collided together, sparks spraying across the room as the blades slid past one another. The twins were evenly matched, their blades striking each other with much force. “I think we’re still doing well,” said Zen.

“Yes, but we have to get better if we are going to master them fully,” Zhou replied back. The twins continued their match, each one still showing no sign of being tired. “Doing pretty good, bro,” Zhou said to his brother.

“Yeah, you too,” replied Zen, as he tried to anticipate his brother's movements. At one point during their sparring match the two met in a deadlock, their swords connecting to one another. “Would you look at that, a deadlock,” said the twins as the two met face to face, their blades in between them.

“How about we have a short break, bro? We could continue later,” said Zhou.

“Yeah, we do need a break,” replied Zen. The two paced back and forth, gathering up some energy before they continued on with their training. “We have to get stronger,” the two replied back to each other as they grabbed their swords, and began their next round of training.

[info]pryceisright
Who: Pryce and Kazuki (with a special guest appearance by Zane!)
When: Late Afternoon
Where: Medical Pavilion
What: Stuck in a storage closet. How will they ever get out?

Pryce held both of his forearms outward, the flat of his hands aimed toward the door in front of himself. His eyes were closed as if he was trying to focus really, really hard. Taking a deep breath, Pryce exhaled it slowly and spoke to a figure behind him. "If you break my concentration," he began, "I'll use you to open the door. Do we have an understanding?" Nice, brunt, and to the point. The initial talking, jibberish, and slamming his fist into the door hadn't gotten them anywhere, but it did give Pryce a sore hand. Pryce knew their best bet was for him to use his powers to open the door, and that's what he was going to do.

His mind focused on using half of the force behind his full capabilities. If the door didn't fly immediately off its hinges because of that, well then Pryce wasn't sure what to do. He took another deep breath. Exhaled. Finally, all of his muscles noticeably tensed up. His face was strained, the veins in his arms and hands bulging.

A small dent appeared in the metal door.

Pryce suddenly opened his eyes, hands still held out. He stared in shock at how two-hundred pounds of brute force psychokinetic power couldn't open the damn door! A slew of curse words exited Pryce's mouth, and he rammed his shoulder into the obstacle in their path.

"Ow," the doctor said, stumbling away from the storage closet's door. Well, that didn't work either. "Good grief, we're trapped in here," Pryce said morbidly.

[info]nosuchthings
Who: Alicia, Zach, Adrienne, and Zane
When: Early Morning
Where: Medical Pavilion
What: Discussion over what attacked Alicia, and the consequences.

Alicia sat upright in the hospital cot, her legs free and feet swaying back and forth atop the sheets. Having sheets draped over her legs made her feel like she was dying, so Alicia had chucked them off and just sat on the bed. Her parents were upset and furious. Well, her mom was more on the upset side and her dad was more on the furious side. She had already had a talk with them, and they had to have a doctor explain to them that being bitten by a werewolf was no simple thing. The bite wasn't severe, but Alicia could have caught the virus. Fact was they wouldn't know for sure until the full moon came in two days.

In much calmer spirits than her parents, Alicia hummed quietly to herself when Zach and Adrienne finally showed up. A grin plastered itself onto her face, and she held out her arms for a hug from her brother and his girlfriend. Never mind they needed to cross the room first before she could get a hug. Alicia liked to prepare for oncoming things. Like hugs.

"I can't get up out of the bed," she said in a fast voice. "I already tried and it hurt my leg, and Doctor Zane said I need to stay in the bed, so I have to stay in the bed." When they reached her, Alicia wrapped her arms around her brother's neck and hugged Zach tightly. She pulled away afterwards, holding her arms out to Adrienne. "Hug!" Alicia exclaimed, throwing her arms around Adrienne's neck next to get a hug out of her.

"So, how are you guys doing this morning? Everything cool? How was the rest of the festival? I know I didn't get to ask you guys last night. Everybody was in such a hurry with examining me and checking me up and all that medical crap. And this Elf came in here and used some weird gooey see-through green stuff on my leg, and it smelled like plants, and they said not to wash it off. I'm supposed to leave this wrap on until the end of the day and then they'll give me a new one."

It was a mouthful, but leave it up to Zach's sixteen-year-old sister to blurt out a mouthful before she would ever let the other two talk.

The past week had been nothing but preparations for the coming equinox that would herald the new season. It was a happy time for the forest creatures as they were the ones that spent hours on end setting up the grounds for the joyous celebration. Wooden lamp posts lit with orange flames bordered the area as well as throughout the entire festival grounds. Each attendee was greeted with a flower garland for their head, neck, or wrist if they desired one.

Fairies had decided to attend this festival as well because of the bright colors that had attracted their attention. There were bonfires all throughout the festival as well and they added warmth to the cool night air. The fiery glow that came from each pyre added a comforting feel to the entire atmosphere, and there were many fauns and fae dancing around each one in a happy manner. They were singing songs and laughing joyously as they pulled passers-by into their happy circle.

Musical fauns played their instruments as they marched through the festival. Fae and fairies flew around the traveling group, singing and humming to the music that resonated in the air. A large stage was set up for those who wished to perform in front of a large crowd be it with singing or acting or any other sort of talent they possessed. There were shows held as well, particularly by those who possessed magic and wished to entertain the crowd for an hour or tow.

Food and drink tables were set up nearby to feed the many attendees with whatever they could think to eat. And wine, they couldn't forget about the wine! There were scantily clad fae handing out the intoxicating liquid to everyone with a free hand. The wine this year was extremely potent and anyone with a weak constitution would no doubt get inebriated with just one cup.

The southern part of the festival held the games geared toward the young or simply the young at heart. Barrels were available for those who wished to roll down hills, piles of leaves were created for those who wanted nothing more than to jump and play in them. Colored sparklers were handed out freely and there were even pegasus rides for anyone who wanted to soar through the skies. There were contests here as well, simple ones that had participants bobbing for apples and fruits and curious prizes, searching for toys in piles of hay, and even pinning horns on a wooden faun.

Contests were set up again as they were just a month earlier. Archery contests and wrestling matches, potato sack and three-legged races. There were various game booths set up as well, such as knife throwing and ring tossing. There was even an area set up for pie eating contests and a Dwarven ale contest where participants could try to out-drink a dwarf.

Fireworks exploded periodically throughout the night and the gleeful sounds of the festival echoed all around. Elysium was a joyful place tonight as citizens celebrated the equinox beneath the near-full moon.

OOC: Everyone is welcome to join the party! Start a new sub-thread to interact with others, or keep an eye out for open sub-threads for you to join! Or if you don't feel like interacting, type up a narrative for your character.

The sun's rays shining out from below the horizon signaled the start of the wedding reception to celebrate Zane and Amada's happy nuptials. The area around Loki's Tiki Hut was set up with festive tiki torches that illuminated the entire area all the way down to the rim of the lake. Each lamp was entwined in green vines and white flowers, and the sand here was also 'planted' with green grass to add to the tropical theme. The tables were decorated with floating candle and flower centerpieces and around each centerpiece were several glass blown wedding favors in the shape of sail boats. Each table also had small boxes of clamshell shaped chocolate for everyone to enjoy.

Soft music lingered in the air and though the night sky was filled with stars some of the fae-folk had enticed lightning bugs to come out and provide romantic lighting above the tables and dance floor. Dinner for the guests was set up buffet style with a variety of foods provided by the restaurant in town. Drinks — alcoholic and non-alcoholic alike — were provided by Loki and his Tiki Hut served as the bar. The ever enchanting Faye Capricia had agreed to the last minute request of providing live singing entertainment for the reception. The dance floor was nothing but the soft sand beneath their feet and, as much as it may have dismayed the bride, even the lake monsters joined in on the festivities as they sang their song and splashed around in the water.

All in all it was a beautiful reception with a little bit of everything for everyone to enjoy, and it was the perfect way to spend the evening in the company of friends or with a special someone.

Who: Zane, Amada, Theora, James Pryce, Emily Planck, and guests!
Where: The beach
When: 4 PM
What: Their wedding!

It was right on the edge of sunset, the sky over the lake was the perfect shade pinky-red, casting a gentle light over the waiting beach below. The weather was beyond perfect....just cool enough to keep everyone from being uncomfortable, warm enough to give the nuptials that balmy tropic feel they'd been going for. Not far from the water bungalows on the beach a number of white wooden folding chairs were set up on either side of a makeshift aisle, the sand strewn with flower petals, the edges of the walkway marked off with green grasses "planted" into the sand. At the end was an archway, one that was simple and white, the structure wrapped in an elegant ivy-like plant that wove its way around it. Tangled in the vines were several of the flowers Amada and Zane had selected, the bright blooms standing out against the deep green of the foliage paired with them. People were taking in the sights as they arrived, seating themselves as the time for things to begin drew nearer and nearer. Though they weren't truly needed yet, a few tiki torches were lit to illuminate the area where the ceremony would be taking place.

What few members of the wedding party there were waited at the end of the aisle along with Zane, the evening kept as simple as possible. It wouldn't fit the couple to have had some overly involved event, they just weren't the type. They loved one another and that, not some spectacle, was to be the center of the evening. Set a fair distance off from the actual ceremony space was a little white tent, in which the wedding party had put the finishing touches on themselves before heading out. In it now, Amada waited until it was her time to head out, until it was time to make her way to Zane.

The gentle gold/green of the dress she'd wanted had come out perfectly, the color made even more stunning by the rich tan her already dark skin was sporting. Her make-up was kept simple for the night, her hair pinned back and up off of her neck, a pair of gold earrings Zane had given her for an earlier birthday dangling from her ears. Her feet were bare, given the sand, and as she emerged she lifted the hem of her dress in one hand to keep it from dragging. The other held her bouquet, a bunch of gorgeous white lily-like flowers. Even as she made her way across the sand and towards the aisle, her eyes were riveted to Zane....she couldn't look away, she couldn't have looked anywhere else if she'd wanted to. All she saw was him, waiting for her, waiting for them to be married...

Zane swallowed past the lump in his throat... )

Who: Zane and Sascha
When: Early Afternoon
Where: The docks
What: Zane plans a honeymoon and starts to panic. In comes Sascha to save the day!

"So that won't be a problem then, right?" Zane's voice was enthusiastic as he closed the deal with elf who was in charge of the docks and the boats in the area. The idea of a honeymoon had plagued Zane ever since the moment he proposed to Amada. Where were they supposed to go exactly if they were literally confined to the haven? Hawaii or the Caribbean was out of the question. Couldn't go to Paris or Italy even though they were close to both destinations. Nope, the world just wasn't safe for them to venture out in. When it was he'd take Amada anywhere she wanted to go.

He shook hands with the tall elven man and smiled. Their honeymoon would consist of a five-night 'cruise' of sorts on one of the nicest sailboats in Elysium. They would sail around the Lake and see all of Elysium in a way they hadn't before. From what the elf was saying the scenery was breathtaking and it would definitely lend to a very romantic atmosphere. That was exactly what Zane was looking for. Something romantic that would spoil Amada rotten. She was going to be his wife in just two days. Two days!

The thought made him happy and at the same time it caused his chest to tighten up in panic. Living with Amada had been easy, things with them had been good apart from the occasional tiff. But what did he know about being a husband? The word came with so many connotations and expectations and he wondered if he could live up to them. Amada had always said he was perfect to her, but what if he was only a perfect boyfriend and fiancé? What if he turned out to be a crappy husband? Zane walked to the edge of the docks and looked out over the water. It seemed endless from here, almost like an ocean even though there was a definite end to the other side.

He sighed and levitated some small rocks he had seen just to the right of the docks. They landed next to his feet before he settled down onto the wood. His hands wrapped around one of them and he tossed them out into the lake. It flew quite a ways before it plopped into the water. He sighed again - he only wanted to make Amada happy and for the first time ever he was afraid that he couldn't.
