Who: Chris, Charlie, and Riley
When: Evening
Where: Their bungalow
What: Fixing up Chris's injuries

"Ow!"

Chris's voice echoed through the bungalow even though they were in their room. "You've got to put that stuff on gently," she said with emphasis. "Not beat it into my skin, you dork." Chris was wincing in preparation for Charlie to apply more balm to her back. It was still bruised from her collision with the wall, but her injuries were not severe enough to warrant the use of a healer. Instead they gave her some salve to apply twice a day to her bruised muscles, and she'd be healed in no time. Her head, however, was another story entirely.

She had to get stitches for the laceration on her scalp. Stitches meant clearing the particular area of hair, and that meant that Chris currently had a "bald" spot. It made the girl terribly self-conscious, and she made sure that she never left the house without a hat on her head. At least the people at the pavilion were nice enough to give her a potion to help her hair grow faster. Hopefully it would work as quickly as they claimed it would otherwise Chris's self-image would suffer the consequences.

"Charlie," she squealed.

"If you stopped squirming it would be easier!" Charlie was trying to be as gentle as he could, and he thought he was gentle, but apparently his sister was just extra sensitive. "Okay, I'm going to rub it in again... ready?"

Chris squinted her eyes, and braced herself. This was going to be a long night.

[info]runasone
Who: Chris and Riley
When: A short time after this
Where: Chris, Charlie, and Riley's bungalow
What: Chris goes home after the incident, and needs some comfort

Chris never felt as helpless as she did in those moments that Hayate was being taken away. If she had a power she'd be able to fight back, do something. Instead, all she could do was cry, and tell on those mean Elven guards to one of the Head Council members. Hopefully they would get into trouble for being huge jerks!

She had headed towards home in a full out run, but ended up slowing to a walk when she was still a mile away. Chris dragged her feet the rest of the way, kicking small rocks from her path while feeling absolutely disgusted with herself. She was still crying, too, and everything looked blurry through her tears.

"You'll bump into something if you can't see," her dad used to say when she ran off crying. He'd pull out his handkerchief then, and use a corner to dry her eyes. Her mom would tell her that crying was cathartic, but too much crying would give her a headache. She always found a way to make Chris smile. The young girl wished that her parents were there now, and the thought only made her even more upset.

She opened the door to the bungalow, and barely closed it behind her as she walked inside. Her eyes were cast to the ground so she didn't even notice Riley standing in front of her. She bumped into the therianthrope, and looked up with forlorn eyes before she threw her arms around the woman's waist. There were a few things that the young girl needed in her life, and at that moment she needed a hug more than anything else.

Who: Charlie and Riley
When: Afternoon
Where: The Gift Shop
What: Charlie goes to his favorite friend for some help

Charlie was a boy on a mission. Ever since his sister told him about the incident at the festival the night before he had made the decision that he had to talk to this Irei person mano-e-mano. Charlie also decided that he had to defend his sister's honor, and if that man had made her cry then he would have to go and beat him up. The only problem with that was that Charlie didn't know any moves that would be good in a fight.

His only hope... )

Who: Everyone!
When: From sunset onward!
Where: Around the Ancient Elven Tree
What: All Hallow's Eve Festival!

ooc: to join in on the festivities, simply comment to the main post. Your entry can be a narrative or open to others. If you are replying to someone else reply to their comment and not to the main post. All activities are open for participation, it is up to your discretion what your character will do.

The sounds of happy parade goers filled the evening air as the citizens of Elysium marched from the town toward the festival near the Ancient Elven Tree. Many of the citizens were dressed in costume, and it was obvious that they had been looking forward to the All Hallow's Eve event. The lively music, provided by the fauns, set the overall tone of the parade. Many of the citizens were singing along to the music, while others whooped and cheered. Their path toward the Ancient Elven Tree was lighted by magical sparklers that never lost their energy, and some citizens even had hand-held sparklers that they waved around happily. Sorcerers enchanted objects to light up the sky like fireworks, while small fairies fluttered around the citizens like fireflies.

Onto the festivities! )

Who: Giles, Marley and Riley
When: Late Afternoon
Where: Audley Cottage
What: Midori owes Giles' a date. Tonight is the night and he's got two pain in the asses trying to offer advice before he tries to get laid the lucky event.

“If you keep following me, I’m going to lead you into my underwear pile.” Giles was trying to get away from his daughter who was stalking him throughout their cottage. Five bonus points on the Giles scoreboard for the brat actually showing interest in a conversation. On The down side, she was only interested because the midget Empath knew something was up. “When you think about it though, that’s a good thing. You could actually do something in this house. But start with my socks”

It took Giles awhile to realize there was a third party in the house and he only stopped for a moment to make an obvious face of irritation then continued on. “Who’s the blonde with decent sized funbags?” She was a short little thing, but he’d still do her. She looked of age so he wasn’t quite in the dirty old man territory.

Riley gave an arch of the brow. Marley wasn’t kidding when she said her father was something else )

Who: Riley and Max
Where: The Gift Shop
When: Late Afternoon
What: Riley meets someone new

Riley liked working at the gift shop. It was an easy job that had her sleeping half of the time thanks to the two Asian twins working. They seemed like nice gals. Not to mention she had a fantasy in her mind about havin’ her a bit of both of them. Maybe if she took them home she could persuade them. Especially the shy one. She said yes to everything. The thought made her smile a little deviously while she stocked a few items.

She began to work on putting up a few ceramic items on the upper shelves but cursed when she realized she wasn’t quite tall enough. “Fucken figures.” Riley never usually had to deal with how short she was, but moments like this reminded her. She set the item down and looked for something to step on.

It was then Riley realized there was a customer in the shop. Or maybe someone just taking a look around. “Can I help you?” Or maybe he could help her. No way in hell did she feel like placing items on a high shelf all day. He was a good deal taller. Time to be nice.

[info]eyesofthetiger
Who: Adio, Riley and Umeko
Where: Tailors
When: Afternoon
What: Dress advice..and..it gets worse

“Come on it will be fun!” Riley promised, putting Adio’s arm in a death hook. She walked on one side of him while Umeko walked on the other. She just was along for the ride really. When she learned the two were going to the tailor, she aided in making sure Adio didn’t attempt in making a run for it. She could understand that going to a shop surrounded by clothing he wasn't interested in was a man’s worst nightmare. His face was miserable, his strides were dragging into the dirt and at times she had to punch his arm to get him to move faster. Now was the time for another punch in the arm from Riley.

“Ow! What the hell? I’m going as fast as my miserable body will allow itself to go.” Hell. He couldn’t possibly believe that a man’s opinion on clothes was so important that he was dragged out of bed. Literally. Riley and Umeko came into his house uninvited and grabbed him by his legs, then swiftly dragged him off his bed then dropped him on the floor. Without negotiating they gave him five minutes to dress then towed him towards the tailors.

“God, don’t be such a drama queen. You owe me for this. I walked you home the other night.” Umeko pointed out, feeling rather proud that she safely brought a man home. Riley snickered, about to light up a cigarette. “Are you friggin’ serious? This little dumpling brought you home, Adio?”

Adio turned towards the blonde who had been irritating him the entire time. “She bit me! I don’t owe her anything besides the cloth she gave me to control the bleeding.” He flicked away Riley’s cigarette. “And don’t smoke. I can’t stand it. In fact, I can’t stand the situation or the both of you right n-ow!” he turned towards Riley after she punched his arm again. “How old are we? Ten at the oldest?”

Riley put her free hand on her hip. “No. I am resorting to this to get you to shut your trap. You whine like a woman going through labor. Now come on! The shop is just ahead.”

When the two arrived, the door was opened ajar. Kazuki was around they were sure, but he gave them time alone. Riley and Umeko asked for them to lay some stuff around to try on and rather Adio liked it or not, he was going to stick around.

Now here is what you are going to do. )

[info]rollwiththepuma
Who: Riley and Charlie
When: Afternoon
Where: Training Terrace
What: Hanging out and boxing!

Riley was pumped! October was her favorite month and was nearing! She was out for a walk and most of all-she was going to go to the training terrace to enjoy a good practice outside. She should enjoy it while it lasted since the days were getting colder! It had been awhile, so she was sure she was going to turn up home with some aches and pains but she was no sissy. Pain a little here, pain a little there! A tough girl like her needed to be reminded why she was so..well tough!

She swung her gloves slowly while walking then was more careful with them. Those were her lucky gloves. She shouldn’t be swinging them around like they were meaningless. Riley supposed she just was a little too pumped to get that adrenaline running.

When she veered towards the final pathway, she could have sworn she heard noises declaring someone was around her. Or maybe something. With a curfew placed you start to wonder if people or things could be prowling around during the day. “Alright. Who’s there?” Riley said in an annoyed voice. “Come on. I’m dying to get just a few feet ahead and I hate feeling followed!”

[info]smokeandredink
Who: Shige & Riley
Where: In Town
When: Mid-Morning
What: Shige plans a hook up and then runs into someone unexpected...

NOTE: This is a repost since I managed to DELETE the last thread because I'm a silly silly person. I actually redated it for today to keep from being confusing.

Shige strolled down the road to the market place, his gait a languid and unhurried swagger as he made his way into town. He still owed the restaurant more of his time but he managed to talk to cook into preparing a nice lunch for two. He had a little secluded picnic planned for lunch that he was very much looking forward to as it was sure to end in a climactic and heated entanglement. Face glowing like a cat's drunk on cream he stretched his arms wide and smirked to himself, lost in his own thoughts and enjoying the beauty of the day. Surly life couldn't be too terrible.

Things were looking up. The possibility of an Inari Shrine being constructed, the rocky relationship between Mitsuko and Whats-His-Face, the pain of his bruise finally fading, even the thought that he and Kaiya may soon meet again...All wonderful things. The one thing he wasn't ready to think about was the possibility of becoming engaged far before he wanted to. He'd set aside at least two hours for himself tonight to make some plans on his own regarding the matter.

A beautiful Asian woman walked by and he followed her with his eyes, turning slowly to watch her. Hmmmmmm Shige smiled to himself appreciating the view of her from behind. Nice, that one. There were quite a few beautiful women in the Haven so being trapped in Elysium wasn't a total loss. Pausing to light a cigarette with his usual thoughtless grace he looked around wondering if he could spot a woman who looked like a good prospect for lunch tomorrow. No sense in ending the day without being prepared for the next.

[info]rollwiththepuma
Who: Riley and Charlie
Where: Training Terrace
When: Mid-Afternoon
What: Practicing

The combat gym was too crowded. Riley needed the sounds of nature and the comforting air to practice her 'art'. It wasn't much of an art she would say. No slow crafty movements like Tai Chi and she wasn't artful with a sword. This was faux boxing. You paced around and you tried to get your blood pumping as your fists raised towards your face and you readied yourself to defeat or fall by your contender. Of course, her contender was just the air.

Riley circled around the sandy terrain finally pacing her body in a fighting motion as she began to first give her opponent a set of fierce punches. Of course if he or she was really there, she would aim for their face, trying to throw them off guard before she went towards a vulnerable place like their stomach.

She went on with with harsh hooks making sure her stance was steady. Riley was sure she looked rather strange with no actual opponent. But it didn't matter. She had boxing. Boxing was her life. She didn't want to lose her championship skills just because she was confined.

[info]rollwiththepuma
Who: Riley [narrative]
Where: Rilad water bungalow
When: Sunrise
What: Riley realizes there is a deeper reason why she won't leave Farad's bungalow

It didn't matter how late Riley went to bed. She would still wake up early to watch the sunrise. The expression on her face was always the same. Like a child seeing the colors unfold for the first time. No matter how many times she tried to sleep in, she just couldn't. Even on days when she over exhausted herself by running over the different terrains in Elysium, legs and feet nearly giving in. She needed the dawn to remember home

Riley was at the window sitting so she could fit in the frame. She drew her knees towards her chest. As she thought of Arizona and the Navajo tribe she once was apart of, she tried to ignore he pain by tracing a finger down a mark she had left from putting out a cigarette the first day she arrived at Farad's bungalow. It was only a few days, but the mark proved she wouldn't be leaving.

To most people a sunrise was just a sunrise. You admired the sight and then you went on with your day. )

[info]bohemiarhapsody
WHO: Sascha, Farad, Riley, and an agitated Sweeney
WHERE: Farad's bungalow
WHEN: Early morning
WHAT: A very naughty wake-up call
WARNING: Strong sexual content...you all knew it was coming. XD

The morning air was crisp, per usual, as Sascha made his way through the shallow waters along the shoreline of the lake, his boots clutched in one hand and his pantlegs rolled partway up to prevent the material from getting wet. The water was just cold enough at this hour to serve as a sort of energizer; he'd never cared much for early mornings, and the biting chill of the water lapping at his ankles was nearly as effective as a cold shower at rousing him from his sleepy stupor.

In his other hand was a paperbacked copy of his published short story collection. During their first encounter, Farad had seemed particularly interested at the mention of Sascha's writings. Since the other man had been so very generous with his attentions on that particular day, and since their previous attempt at a rendezvous had been thwarted by weather and improper timing, Sascha had decided to present the book to Farad as a token of appreciation and, possibly, friendship. He'd been curiously drawn to the other man, although he still couldn't pinpoint the exact emotion behind the strange attraction. Lust was certainly an accurate explanation, but it was only a partial one.

Curiously, Sascha hadn't seen the younger man around the library since their initial meeting. It had occurred to him that perhaps Farad hadn't enjoyed the encounter as much as he had, and that he might prefer to avoid further contact with the librarian. The note that had been returned in response to Sascha's written appeal to meet again had dismissed that uncertainty, however, as it appeared that Farad was more than willing to interact with him again.

He'd managed to track down the location of his companion's bungalow through the library's information database (ah, the wonders of card catalogs) and word of mouth, and he smiled in anticipation as he waded over to the correct residence and ascended the spiral staircase leading up to the door. He set his boots on the top step and took a moment to shake his pant legs back down before glancing over his shoulder at Sweeney's approaching form.

Sweeney had been in a very agitated state that morning as a result of the full moon and the strange and slightly ominous energies that accompanied it. )

The rain would have otherwise been a soothing retreat into sleep for Riley and her precious cat Harley. The feline formed into her stomach as they rested on her bed. However, there was a very evident problem.
