Who: Mitsuko, Frar and Fror (and later the Council)
Where: Helicharis Marketplace
When: Afternoon
What: Mitsuko's gonna get answers this time

Mitsuko was out in the marketplace, looking scrupulously over some freshly caught seafood from Van'taurë Lake. She was in the mood to make sashimi. While Mitsuko was not good at a lot of cooking, she was quite skilled when it came to serving up raw dishes. It was not really lack of talent, but the scent of cooking animal flesh that made her unable to properly develop kitchen skills.

Mitsuko pursed her lips, looking over the various catches. "Do you have any Tobiko?" At the confused look from the fisherman she grimaced in embarrassment. "Err.... Flying fish roe?"

"Oi." Mitsuko felt someone tugging at her sleeve. "You, Misses."

Mitsuko looked down. "Ehhhh?"

"Leave the fish." It was a dwarf. It took Mitsuko to realize it was the one she had kissed to get information on Frar and Fror. "You wanna know this."

Mitsuko frowned slightly and cocked her head. "What's going on?"

"Know you hadn't found Frar and Fror yet. They've been hidin' in t'caves. But they came out today. They're ov'r there."

Mitsuko felt her heart speed up slightly. "Thanks." She smiled mischievously. "I owe you one."

"If tha' what's y'think..." The dwarf started, but Mitsuko was already on her way towards the two dwarves in the marketplace. Mitsuko smoothed down her short skirt, going into business mode.

"Do I have the pleasure of finally meeting Frar and Fror?" Mitsuko called out.

Who: Frar, Fror, and Open (to many many people!!!)
When: Early evening
Where: In front of the wine bar
What: Handing out samples of their new ale

"Come'n'get it!" Cried out the stout dwarf as he stood in front of a well-built drink stand with the words FREE ALE painted in bright, decorative letters across the top portion of the stand. Frar and Fror had carted down a dozen barrels of their 'specially' brewed ale from the Dwarven caves just for the purpose of trying it out on the citizens.

"New recipe!" He continued to say out loud as he passed out miniature mugs to anyone who passed by. "Same great taste but with extra ooomph court'sy o'the magically enhanced hops!" His pipe was held firmly in the corner of his mouth, and there were occasional puffs of smoke rising into the air. Frar smiled at the citizens and even flirted with some of the women as he continued with his 'advertisement' of the new ale.

"C'mere lad!" He called to a healthy looking young man. "Y'be the type who kin hold yer ale?" The boy nodded and Frar slapped him happily on the back.

"Thataboy!" The dwarf grabbed one of the miniature mugs and handed it to the stranger. "Take a sip o'that and tell me what be y'thoughts?" The boy looked at the dwarf oddly but decided to take the offer and downed the mug of ale. Within moments the boy was smiling and swaying on the spot.

"That's the..." He hiccuped and grinned. "Thaaaaaaaaaat ish the best-" The boy hiccuped again and grabbed a hold of Frar's shoulder for support. "I love you, man! Can I have more?"

Frar grinned and handed the boy another mug. "There ye have it folks! The best ale in all of Elysium, free to try but only today!"

Frar looked over his shoulder at his brother and winked at him. Their new recipe was a hit and he was sure that all twelve barrels would be emptied within the next few hours.

Who: Fror and Frar
When: Late Afternoon
Where: Helicharis Market Place
What: Dwarven gossiping!

"Whoooa there, laddy," Fror said, holding up his hand in a 'stop' gesture. "I thought ye said these tomatoes were a ripe 'n' ready! I see a green spot a-right there-" Fror's finger poked at the tomato, which did indeed have a big green spot on it. "Just a-look at these tomatoes! Green as an Irish meadow o' nothin' but grass! No single flower in sight!"

Turning to his companion, his younger brother Frar, the older dwarf puffed on his pipe and shook his head. "Let's be a-walkin'," he suggested, waddling away from the vegetable stand. "I say we be done here, aye. Nuffin but liars 'round here," Fror added as the boy from the vegetable stand hollered back at him. Fror waved his hand dismissively and ignored the boy as he and his brother started walking away.

Frar puffed on his own pipe and blew out billowy smoke that was rather fragrant. He wasn't as big of a smoker as Fror, but he did enjoy puffing on the weed that his brother collected. "Aye, nothin' bu'liars!" Frar said out loud as the dwarves sauntered through the market place. "Now d'lad from earlier," he began with another puff. "Trustworthy." He nodded and continued to speak very very loud. "Now aye've known them Weres t'be frisky ones, but'ta maul the young lass of a Were! Dispicable!" He spat as a few citizens looked at him with interest.

Word is she's quite the looker... )

[info]foolintherain
Who: Nico and Zach
When: Mid-Afternoon
Where: Starting at their cottage
What: Visiting the greatest ale brewers of the land

"Oie Kit!" Nico yelled as he jumped up the winding staircase two steps at a time. "Hey, you're not in there with Adrienne are you cos I'm about to come in!" He added as he made his way to Zach's room and knocked on it briefly before entering without a vocal invitation. Nico might have had some manners if he were barging in on anyone else, but this was Kit here and they had known each other for years and any trace of manners had all but vanished. But Nico knew (or at least he hoped) that Zach didn't mind an intrusion from his best friend especially when he was up in his room - alone - and it was a gorgeous day outside. This was no time to be spending indoors, not when they were about to go on a mission to get some ale.

"You need to get off your ass and come with me to the mountains," Nico said without giving Zach a chance to speak or retort to his barging in. "I ran into one of the fauns when I was in town earlier and he was telling me about this autumn festival... thing they were having later this week. Anyway, there's gonna be a shitload of booze and music and good times all around and I figure that's something that everyone needs, right?"

After all, the world had gone to shit within the past couple of months and most of the people in Elysium were still too scared shitless to have any fun or do anything that required them leaving their homes. But this festival that the little goat dude was telling him about sounded like it would brighten everyone's spirits. Besides, who didn't get happy when they drank and danced around to music? Nico wasn't a party animal in the strictest sense but the sprite knew how to have a good time and they were long overdue for a fucking good time. Too much drama in the world, too many people were depressed; Nico understood that things were bad and it was a serious situation, but that didn't mean that he had to go down the drain with it. Oh hell no, not today at least.

"So," Nico said continuing his story. "The little faun dude asked me if I could help with the preparations by picking up some ale from the dwarves in the Northern caves." Nico's brown eyes danced with his usual mischievous nature and anyone could tell that he was in high spirits. "We'll ride there, grab the ale, chat with some dwarves, and then come back. It'll be easy! The faun dude told me the easiest way to get there, so c'mon." He cocked his head toward the door and bounced his eyebrows at Zach. "You know it's going to be fun... we've never seen any dwarves before!" He paused suddenly and then smirked at his best friend. "Unless you're waiting for Adrienne so you guys can have quality time together." He made quotation marks with his fingers when he said 'quality time' and laughed out loud. Though he didn't think that Zach would turn him down to go see the dwarves, he wouldn't blame him especially if he had the chance to make out with a hot girl. If the tables were turned, Nico would probably choose the girl over the dwarves, too. But Nico was a lone sprite at the moment and the prospect of seeing dwarves, actual real-life dwarves, was the most excitement he was going to get. No, Nico wasn't going to turn down this opportunity and hopefully Zach wouldn't either.
