Who: Werewolves and anyone who wants to be outside the barrier
When: Before sunset and beyond
Where: North East of Helicharis (just beyond the Abandoned Elven Palace)
What: The werewolves let loose!
ooc: 1) Start sub-threads in this post by posting the name of all characters involved in the subject and the approximate time of night that particular scene is happening. 2) You can choose how your character arrived at the enclosure. 3) Don't forget to describe the character shifting and what they look like while shifted. 4) Don't forget that the transformation hurts unless you are used to it. 5) Lastly, have fun and go wild with it!

The forests all around Elysium were quiet as the sun began to descend toward the horizon. Animals locked themselves away in their homes, knowing what was to come within the next hour. They would stay there until the morning if they knew what was good for them, otherwise they could become victims for the lycans as they loped around the enclosure set aside just for them.

There was only a slight breeze tonight, bringing with it warm air from the South. The sky was overcast, blocking out the precious moon. But the werewolves didn't need to see the moon in order to feel its power. It wasn't like movies where a cloud traveling across the moon would halt the shifting of the lycanthropes. Nothing could stop their transformations tonight, and nothing would be able to contain the beasts they would become. It was the reason they were kept behind the magical barrier in the North Eastern part of the forest. Orc shamans and their powerful totems would be the guards tonight, using their magic to create the barrier between them and the rest of the haven. The werewolves would come to the barrier before the sun set, and enter its boundaries before they turned into their feral counterparts. Each lycan felt the call of the moon, and each one was waiting for the moment they could be free.

Fifteen shaman would be on guard tonight, using their ancient magic to create the invisible force field. Their power was more than enough to hold the lycanthropes inside. The barrier would keep the citizens of Elysium safe from the hungry lycanthropes until the first rays of the sun arose the next day.

Who: Warren, Emily and Echo
Where: Marketplace
When: Afternoon
What: Warren gives himself a day off..and meets some new people

Warren was somewhat surprised that though he worked in the market, he never took the time to fully explore the other shops. He would usually just go to the sweets shop, the bakery and the fresh food Pavilion. He was certainly not a fan of being anywhere near the Butcher's. Something about being remotely near the area grossed him out. In the case of the other stores he really just never paid attention to them. The healer guessed it was rather odd since some were probably smack dab between his eyes when he stepped out of the Tailors.

On this day, he took a day off from even glancing at the Tailors, figuring it was a 'good riddance' thing for his coworker. It was a good day to weave both inside and outside of shops. The weather was quite warm for a day of autumn, somewhat like an Indian Summer. He sure wasn't complaining.

The healer walked towards the café and lightly brushed shoulders with a stranger causing him to turn back in their direction before he fully passed them. "Forgive me. I was somewhat daydreaming"

[info]echoenergy
Who: Echo and Sanura
Where: Helicharis' main road
When: Mid-afternoon
What: Hanging out!

After class finished, Echo decided to spend time in Helicharis to see if there was anything new around that she would find interesting. She'd always hang around the sweet shop and get a piece of chocolate if nothing else, although her mother disliked her eating sweets before dinner, as she might spoil her appetite. Just one piece was to be harmless and Echo stepped inside to ask for some fudge. The woman gave her the candy and Echo slowly ate it as she walked outside into the main road. Hmm, now what could she do? Was there anyone she knew around here?

She bit off a tiny piece of the fudge and walked down the street somewhat idly before she thought she saw someone she recognised. Sanura! How long it'd been since she saw her. The woman easily made her top five list of Coolest Women in Elysium along with Yola and Mitsuko, of course. "Sanura!" she called, waving her hand and running up to her. "Ohmygosh, it's so nice to see you again! How've you been? Did you go to the festival? I did. I got drunk and Mom was angry with me - I'm still doing chores to make up for it and I don't think I'll drink again for a long time." Yes, her chattering was still a habit of hers and a strong one at that.

At least she was aware of it. "I'm sorry I talk so much! I haven't been up to much of anything lately and I'm itching to do something fun." Mischief or just hanging out, either was fine for her. She looked around the main street of ideas, and found nothing inspirational, to her annoyance. Sanura had to have some ideas! If not, Echo had to bring the woman to the lagoon - she'd been there once and it was absolutely gorgeous, a good spot to relax and just chat. Echo talked to Chris, but talking to someone older than her made her feel that much cooler.

[info]foxylady
Who: Mitsuko, Logan and Echo
When: Morning
Where: Helicharis Cottages
What: OMG!WTF!BBQ! Logan speaks to his sister!

There was nothing about Mitsuko that really suggested 'responsible caregiver'. But since the only person she had to care for was seventeen years old, it was all right if she was a bit shaky in her abilities. But she wanted to provide as nice a home as possible. That's why this morning, Mitsuko was attempting to make pancakes.

She was doing a pretty good job of it, carefully spooning batter onto the griddle and closely watching as the bottom cooked, trying her best to flip them over without smearing the uncooked batter on top. It was so far turning out fairly well... At least as long as she didn't take too deep a breath to smell the frying bacon. The scent of cooking meat always made Mitsuko a little bit nauseous. She much preferred her meat raw.

As Mitsuko cooked breakfast, she heard the thunderous sound of footsteps down he stairs. "Ohayo, Logan-chan!" Mitsuko chirped happily. She still had no idea if Logan understood Japanese, but he never seemed to mind her using it around him.

But this morning... Logan looked different than usual. He looked... Panicked. He was dressed in rumpled, paint-spattered clothing. Mitsuko was used to seeing Logan in clothes covered in paint, but it was obvious he had been wearing them all night. His lower lip was covered in blood, from a deep gash on his lip. Mitsuko's eyes grew wide. "Logan? Daijoubu desu ka?"

Logan was panting as he grabbed his elder sister by the shoulders. His eyes were wide, full of panic. "Chris," He rasped. "Trouble."

Mitsuko was too stunned by the sound of words coming from her mute brother's mouth to react right away. She was frozen, almost not noticing when he went tearing out the door.

After a moment, she regained her senses and realized Logan was gone. "LOGAN!" She cried, running after him. "Where are you going?" The scent of something burning hit her sensitive nose. "FUCK!" she ran back into the kitchen and turned off the stove, leaving the burnt pancakes and bacon on the stove as she went to pursue Logan once again.

When she got outside, she saw no sign of her younger brother. He looked utterly panicked. And he had... Spoken. After so much silence, it had to be something big that would get him to utter words. "Logan!" Mitsuko cried out desperately. "Where are you? Come on! I wanna help!"

Japanese translation:
Ohayo = Good Morning
Daijoubu desu ka? = Are you all right?

Who: Everyone!
Where: Just outside of Helicharis at the Festival Grounds
When: 6 PM till ??
What: Autumnal Equinox Festival - It's the first day of Autumn!

ooc: To join in on the festivities, simply comment to the main post. Your entry can be a narrative or open to others. If you are replying to someone else reply to their comment and not to the main post. All activities are open for participation, it is up to your discretion what your character will do.

The past week had been nothing but preparations for the coming equinox that would herald the new season. It was a happy time for the forest creatures as they were the ones that spent hours on end setting up the grounds for the joyous celebration. Wooden lamp posts lit with orange flames bordered the area as well as throughout the entire festival grounds. Each attendee was greeted with a flower garland for their head, neck, or wrist if they desired one.

Fairies had decided to attend this festival as well because of the bright colors that had attracted their attention. There were bonfires all throughout the festival as well and they added warmth to the cool night air. The fiery glow that came from each pyre added a comforting feel to the entire atmosphere, and there were many fauns and fae dancing around each one in a happy manner. They were singing songs and laughing joyously as they pulled passers-by into their happy circle.

Musical fauns played their instruments as they marched through the festival. Fae and fairies flew around the traveling group, singing and humming to the music that resonated in the air. A large stage was set up for those who wished to perform in front of a large crowd be it with singing or acting or any other sort of talent they possessed. There were shows held as well, particularly by those who possessed magic and wished to entertain the crowd for an hour or tow.

Food and drink tables were set up nearby to feed the many attendees with whatever they could think to eat. And wine, they couldn't forget about the wine! There were scantily clad fae handing out the intoxicating liquid to everyone with a free hand. The wine this year was extremely potent and anyone with a weak constitution would no doubt get inebriated with just one cup.

The southern part of the festival held the games geared toward the young or simply the young at heart. Barrels were available for those who wished to roll down hills, piles of leaves were created for those who wanted nothing more than to jump and play in them. Colored sparklers were handed out freely and there were even pegasus rides for anyone who wanted to soar through the skies. There were contests here as well, simple ones that had participants bobbing for apples and fruits and curious prizes, searching for toys in piles of hay, and even pinning horns on a wooden faun.

Contests were set up again as they were just a month earlier. Archery contests and wrestling matches, potato sack and three-legged races. There were various game booths set up as well, such as knife throwing and ring tossing. There was even an area set up for pie eating contests and a Dwarven ale contest where participants could try to out-drink a dwarf.

Fireworks exploded periodically throughout the night and the gleeful sounds of the festival echoed all around. Elysium was a joyful place tonight as citizens celebrated the equinox beneath the near-full moon.

Who: Emily & Echo Planck, Chris & Charlie Jung, Irei Arakaki, Sascha Connolly, and any visitors!
When: Morning
Where: The Plancks' cottage and Irei & Sascha's bungalow
What: An ominous tune lingers in the air despite the sunny and cheerful morning.

The early morning hours started off as peacefully as any other. Birds were greeting the new day with their song, the lake monster was swimming happily in the water, and Helicharis was beginning to bustle with activity. And yet despite the seemingly happy atmosphere something was amiss. It was hard to pinpoint exactly, possibly because the occurrence was so isolated that no one noticed unless they happened by the places on accident.

How often did citizens travel by the waterfront bungalows or the forest cottages anyway? Would they have noticed or even paid attention to the dolls that were outside one particular bungalow? Would anyone think to look inside the darkened window of a nearby cottage to see the dinner party that was already underway? No… no one would look or pay attention. And yet perhaps they should have.

OOC Note - There will be sub-threads for each location and those involved will need to reply to the appropriate sub-thread. Please note that these ARE open for anyone passing by or just visiting the residents in each location. Remember, have fun with it and do whatever you want with it! There is no specific outcome or reaction that needs to be had ^^

[info]echoenergy
Who: Echo and Hayate with Emily, Chris and Charlie
Where: on the edge of Elysium somewhat near the mountains
When: early evening
What: An unusual meeting and Echo is returned home.

Echo spent most of the previous night hugging her knees to her chest for warmth and trying not to think of food. It was impossible to sleep in a field at night when anything could happen. She didn't know what sort of animals roamed the area and hoped that there was nothing dangerous out there. She reached into her knitted bag in a desperate attempt to find any last bit of food that she missed earlier, but unfortunately, all she found was the crust of the sandwich she made for herself yesterday. Crusts were evil beyond measure, but she had to eat it to ease her aching stomach. It was stale and had a bit of lint on it, but she didn't care. The bit of food satisfied her for about five minutes and then she was hungry again.

"Stupid, stupid, stupid!" she said to herself. How could she get lost like this? Only small children managed to get themselves lost and she hated to think that she was that simple. Like it or not, Echo found herself near mountains. Mountains! This had to be a really bad sign. Ever since she spotted them on the horizon, it brought such despair that she sank to her knees and stayed like that for a while. She hadn't seen mountains in Elysium before and now that they were... she didn't know what to do.

What if she never saw anyone she knew again? What if she starved to death here? No, that was impossible, it had to be. Echo had to find someone and find her way back home. She stared at her hands and thought of what she'd neglected to do before she left, like hugging her mom more or giving Charlie her very first kiss. A couple of tears escaped and rolled down her cheeks. First things first, she had to start finding her way back, she was determined of that. Echo rose to her feet and started to head in a direction which she hoped was the right one.

Who: Echo and Yolanda
Where: Yolanda's place.
When: mid-morning, before Echo wanders.
What: Girly things.

After a little while of persuading her mother, Echo left the forest cottage with her knitted bag across her shoulder and raised hopes for the morning. She was going to have so much fun with Yola, she just knew it! Her new friend gave her directions to her town house in Helicharis and Echo hurried in that direction, hoping the walk did not seem as long as it usually did. Her excitement proved to be a sufficient distraction and she arrived in front of Yola's place within too long. This was one of the few times she actually felt mature, having a get together with a much older girl than herself.

She knocked on the door and waited, brushing back the strands of hair that fell over her shoulder and straightening her skirt just because. Emily insisted that she bring some hot chocolate mix for Echo to make for Yola and herself, which was the perfect addition to a girls' morning in. Hopefully Yola was a font of inspiration when it came to talking to boys - as an adult, she had to have lots of experience, right? Yola was one of her cool older friends and so surely she was sympathetic enough to give advice about Charlie...

[info]runasone
Who: Charlie and Echo
When: Afternoon
Where: Starting at their house and then out swimming
What: Omgosh! A date!

Nervous wasn't enough to describe how Charlie was feeling. His palms were sweaty and he kept rubbing them against his tee-shirt in an attempt to keep them dry. It was useless because nothing he did was going to make this any easier on him. He had a date today, a date with a very cute girl and he was terrified that he was going to screw it up somehow. Charlie took deep breaths as he paced back and forth in his room. "Get a grip, Charlie," he said to himself, his hands raking through his hair as if that would somehow make him calm down. With every deep breath the young therianthrope went through his 'routine' for the day: go to Echo's room, woo Echo and try to be flirty, take her out swimming, and maybe just maybe by the end of it all he'd get to hold her hand.

Charlie filled his lungs with fresh air and blew it out completely before he gathered his bag of things and made his way to Echo's room. His feet felt like lead as he stepped through the house toward Echo's room. He reached her door and swallowed the pit in his throat and licked his lips. They were dry, like his mouth and Charlie suddenly felt self-conscious of his breath. He cupped his hand over his mouth and huffed out quickly before he breathed it back in. Okay it didn't stink, thank god, otherwise he'd have to haul his butt back to the bathroom to brush. But he didn't move from entrance to Echo's room. His hand was shaking as he held it at chest level, ready to knock upon the dark brown wood. He gulped again, and took a deep breath and rapped on the door quietly.

"Hey Echo," he said in the steadiest voice possible. "It's Charlie... are you ready to go?"

This was it. His first official date ever, and Charlie wanted to make sure it went off without a hitch.

[info]runasone
Who: Charlie and Echo
When: Early evening
Where: The Planck's cottage
What: Teenage flirting gone awry

Living at the Planck’s was nicer than living at the medical pavilion especially since Charlie now had his own room. He was the oldest and the only boy so it made sense that he didn’t have to share. Besides, his sister and Echo were practically ‘bff’ or so he heard Chris saying in a fit of giggles once. Girls… he wouldn’t give them the time of day if they weren’t so cute!

And man Echo was cute! Charlie found himself stealing glances at her whenever he had the chance which was often since they all lived together now. Charlie liked her smile, and her hair was so pretty! And her eyes were sparkling, and wow she had this laugh that could light up a room!

So Charlie was a bit smitten with the only daughter of Emily Planck. Could anyone blame him really? She was cute and fun, and so the eldest Jung son decided to try his hand at ‘putting the moves’ on Echo. The therianthrope found the young girl sitting in the living room of the cottage, busy doing something. He took a deep breath and smoothed his hair with his fingers. He strode up to the girl and put on his brightest smile.

“Hey Echo…” he said until his mind went totally blank. His eyes widened and he searched for the words to say. “So uh… I just thought that I’d uh… come by and say hi.” “Oh real smooth Charlie, you idiot,” he said to himself while he kept his smile on his face. “So uh yeah… hi!”

[info]healingenergy
Who: Emily, Echo, and OPEN to party guests!
Where: by the Plancks' forest cottage
When: sundown
What: Surprise birthday party! I'll have Emily arrive after a few comments from other people.

Echo awoke earlier than usual Saturday morning, not surprisingly because she had much to do before the party in the evening. She dressed quickly and hoped that her mom hadn't started making breakfast yet. On her birthday, she wasn't allowed - ever since she was four, Echo insisted on making Emily breakfast in bed. Her meals improved over the years, thankfully. She reached the kitchen and found it empty, which was good. She set to work cooking pancakes, her mom's favorite breakfast in the entire world, and almost three-quarters of an hour later, she was finished.

Placing the plate of pancakes and a glass of juice on a tray, Echo carried it to Emily's room and opened the door. The movement stirred her mother, who sat up in bed. "Happy birthday to you," Echo started to sing as she neared the bed. "...happy birthday, dear Mom, happy birthday to you!" She grinned and gave Emily the tray, squeezing her shoulders in a hug.

''Oh Echo, thank you,'' said Emily... )

Making the excuse to leave was easier than Echo had expected, as was getting Emily to agree to come back to the cottage at sundown. She hurried back and went to her room to retrieve the party decorations. The baker soon arrived with the cake, so Echo set up a couple of tables for it to rest and brought out the rest of the refreshments. She draped streamers over various tree branches and positioned the tiki torches so that there was enough light. The sun neared the horizon now, and Echo changed just before the musicians arrived. She adored her yellow dress that Kazuki made her yesterday (and she immediately invited her to the party). Revealing, cute and definitely mature.

Excellent. Now all she had to do was hope that the guests came to the forest cottage before her mom returned. Time to get the party started!

Who: Emily, Echo, Chris and Charlie
Where: the medical pavillion
When: evening
What: Introductions.

It had taken days, but Echo finally persuaded her mom into meeting with Chris and Charlie to see if she liked them well enough to take them into their home. Emily said she'd think about it, but that meant she was already leaning towards saying yes. It was difficult for her to disregard anyone in need, especially children. Echo promised Emily that the twins were very friendly and was nearly sure that they liked the idea of staying with someone instead of living in the medical pavillion.

A little while after the Plancks met the vampires, Emily led the way to the medical building though they both knew where it was and entered it. She had no idea where the twins' room was and neither did her daughter. This led to them peeking into a couple rooms with the doors still ajar. Finally, Emily suggested that Echo call out their names aloud so they realised that she was there with her mother. "Chris? Charlie?" asked Echo and hoped they heard her. "It's me, Echo, with my mom."

Emily glanced at Echo and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. "I'm looking forward to meeting them as you like them so much." She trusted her daughter's judgement as it never steered her wrong. "You think they're quite mischevious? I suppose it could be good to have a bit more excitement around our cottage."

Who: Yolanda, Greg, Emily & Echo (The attack of the shared journals.)
When: Evening.
Where: Helicharis, random street
What: Mother and Daughter meet Sire and Childe

"But it's still fucking weird though." Yolanda was walking backwards, facing her so-called sire Gregory, as they wandered down a street in Helicharis. Every once in a while she checked behind her to make sure she didn't hit anyone, or anything, but for the most part, she just kept going.

"We've been here for months." Greg arched an eyebrow at her. "You're telling me you're not used to it yet?" She really needed to be more adaptable. Although he knew that nothing lasted forever, even them, he did hope that she would live long enough to see the world change as much as he did. Sometimes he worried about her.

"No. I'm really not." She laughed, fully aware of how she sounded. "I mean, it's a city, right? But where are the cars." She stopped, forcing Greg to stop short in order to avoid bumping into her, and stretched out her arms, doing a three hundred and sixty degree turn. "I mean, what's a city without cars?"

He smirked at her and shook his head. "I dunno, New York City didn't have all that many cars when I was your age." Which was to say, they didn't have any. Stank like hell too, with all the horseshit around.

"Okay fine, you were around before cars." She rolled her eyes, and slumped back against a nearby building. "It doesn't make it any less weird for me," she muttered. Reaching into one of her cargo pockets, she pulled out a pack of cigarettes and lit one. "Want?" she offered, but he shook his head.
"Don't tell me you were driving around in one of those old cars that you had to crank!"  )

Who: Dylan and ... [Anyone involved!]
Where: Town Hall
When: Afternoon
What: Finding the orphans homes.

**Note: To join, begin a subthread with the names of those involved in the subject of your comment. I'm not sure who and all is participating!

All of the orphans had been brought to the Town Hall today. Although Dylan had no children himself, he knew how to act with them due to spending time with the youth of his clan back home. He arrived at the medical pavilion dressed in very simple human clothes today: a t-shirt, jeans, and a baseball cap. It was not the djinn's usual style of clothing, but it made him more approachable to the other residents of Elysium. Often, he seemed quite imposing with his size and extremely professional demeanor.

Dylan picked up the orphans from the medical pavilion and took them to Town Hall. The smallest sat on his shoulders and two of the others held his hands as they all walked into the building together, laughing and talking along the way.

Once they were inside, Dylan brought the children to one of the rooms set aside for them with supervisors as he met with the prospective foster parents today. He remained in his choice of clothing, deciding not to switch out for a suit or robes. Dylan found the human clothes to be rather comfortable, though he was not sure he liked the jeans very much. For someone used to loose-fitting fabrics with fluidity, jeans felt rather restrictive. He hoped his appearance would be okay for those coming by today.

[info]healingenergy
Who: Mathias, Echo, joined by Emily and Sascha later
Where: the Plancks' forest cottage
When: early evening, a little while after this thread.
What: Mathias stops by to talk to his daughter.
A/N: To be continued in comments!

Watching Emily leave was painful, though he wouldn't admit to it; Mathias wanted to try and not burn the bridge any further than he had already. Of course, there was a bridge that was lit on fire that kept them apart for over ten years. Worse was - he added more fuel on the fire.

The night was crisp and like always, he dug his hands into his pockets, his feet rusting through the leaves that rest on the forest. Mathias knew that what he was doing perhaps was as dangerous as going into a pit full of snakes. He had no right to find out where Emily and Echo lived; he had no right to want to talk to Echo. Why now? Thirteen years ago he probably thought of her as... a thing?

Just as that thought came to mind, a chill filled the air and he even shivered. Emily was a strong woman alright. He bet she broke down when they parted down that road. Just like he bet she broke down all those years ago. But- he knew his old girlfriend. His good ol' Emily. She'd pick herself up.

There was a faint light, telling Mathias that he was in the dangerous waters. The "snake" pit. He swallowed hard as he was near. But there was someone outside... Someone that sure wasn't Emily.

Mathias approached slowly, pushing aside a small brush of branches as he saw...

"Echo..." he whispered softly, watching his daughter as she slept. Thirteen years he missed her sleeping and there she was, his first close glimpse of her was with her eyes closed.

Echo couldn't help crying just a bit more... )

Who: Echo, Emily and Sascha
Where: the Plancks' forest cottage
When: early evening
What: Emily is depressed and Echo asks Sascha for help.
A/N: A bit of adult content & to be continued in thread.

Echo shut the outside door to her house behind her and hurried in the direction of the water bungalows. She was worried, dreadfully so, about her mother. For the most of today, Emily stayed in her room crying. She didn't want to see Mathias, that was definite, and barely could look at Echo as the girl tried to serve her dinner. It was early when Echo decided to go to Sascha for help, who seemed wise enough to handle such a situation. He'd been married for a while and maybe had some comforting skills with women.

She partly ran most of the way but finally came to Sascha and Irei's bungalow, knocking on the door. What if they weren't home? No, Sascha had to be there because Echo grew desperate. Finding Malcolm was next on her list if she couldn't immediately find Sascha. She worried her lip and wrapped her arms around her stomach, shifting her weight from one leg to another and waiting for the door to open.

When it did and Sascha was the person behind the door, Echo blurted everything out at him. "Sascha, you have to help me. Mom won't come out of her room because the other day, she saw my father and freaked out and she actually yelled at him and he yelled back. And I don't know what to do because Mathias wants to spend time with me and Mom, but he's going about it the wrong way, I think. So please, please help cheer her up because I think she might hurt herself." Tears welled in her eyes and she buried her face in her hands. Normally she could be optimistic, but she'd usually had her mother supporting her. Now that Emily was holed in her room, Echo couldn't handle it.

Read on. )

[info]healingenergy
Who: Emily, Echo, Sanura and Mathias Andersen
Where: Helicharis
When: early afternoon
What: An unexpected reunion.

It was a brand new day. Emily smiled at Echo as the two headed down the main road of Helicharis with Sanura at their side. She decided that the best thing for the early afternoon was to have a snack from the bakery and find somewhere nice to sit and chat. Sundays were always the best time for relaxing and there wasn't anything nicer than to be with a friend. "What do you want to eat?" she asked the two other girls, turning towards the counter in the bakery to ask for some pastries.

They ate their snacks as they exited the bakery and walked on the road once more. Echo took a happy bite of her muffin, chewing and swallowing before glancing at Emily. "This is a really good day for fun!" she said. "I think we should sit by a fire and drink hot chocolate. What do you think?" Now that she was with her mother and her new friend, everything was going just fine.

"I like that idea!" Emily answered with a laugh. "It'll be good to relax. I'm quite in the mood for a lazy day inside." Her spirit was light and she reached for her daughter's hand to squeeze it gently. She felt so carefree and good that it was hard not to keep the smile from her face. This was so much fun, not doing much at all, being with her daughter, watching her smile.

Helicharis was often a long road... )

It was another nice day and Emily wanted to do something different and fun, something Echo-ish. The only thing that came to mind was going swimming, judging from how much fun she had with Malcolm. Doing the same with Irei was bound to be as fun. She hadn't seen him in a while and, admittedly, she mentally categorised him in a best friend role. How could she not? He struck her as being wise from their conversation at the Autumn Festival and she needed a font of rationality in her life. So now that she had a plan in mind, she decided to set off for his and Sascha's water bungalow with her yellow bikini under her clothes, a towel, and a packed snack for the two of them.

She talked with her daughter and they agreed that in a little while, Echo'd head over to the lake to join the two. Emily bid Echo goodbye before she left and started on the somewhat lengthy walk, growing more eager. She passed the time by humming tunes under her breath and finally arrived at the bungalow. A grin on her face appeared naturally as she knocked on the door. He had to accept; she wouldn't take no for an answer. It was no wonder where Echo had inherited most of her stubbornness. When Irei answered it, her grin brightened even more. "Hi, Irei!" said Emily and launched herself at him for a quick hug, remembering how uncomfortable he'd been last time she did so. "So, it's a nice day and I was wondering if you would like to go swimming with me. I brought a snack too, if it helps."

So far, so good, right? She made sure to look as innocent as possible in the hope that would persuade him to join her, because this was just an outing with friends. No, he didn't have to worry about any hidden intentions with her. Usually her secret agendas were made blatantly obvious through her actions or slips of the tongue. It'd been difficult for her to keep Echo's birthday presents a secret through the years.

Who: Sanura, Emily & Echo
Where: The main road of Helicharis
When: Late afternoon
What: After a fall, Sanura thinks she is alone.

Sanura's shoes dangled only within the tips of her fingers as she jogged down the main road. It was careless indeed to walk with no shoes and she was sure the chance of her feet suffering from some sort of injury was high. But she was late. Suck it up. A growling stomach was tugging her towards the market, telling her that if she jogged any slower she was going to die of hunger. Then again, shoes might aid her in getting there faster. That is-if she wore the right ones.

She brushed her hair from her face with her free set of fingers now trying to work up a speed to a run. That was a mistake. The whole event was a mistake. She had no shoes on, she was wearing a skirt and her hair was like a pesky curtain waving in and out of her face.

She made a small sound as she fell to the ground, avoiding a potential scratch to the face as she caught herself with her hands now stinging as if three hundred bees had dug into them. Sanura quickly turned so she was propped on her bum and resting her sore hands on her sore knees. She was pissed to say the least, but couldn't help but to smile-and then laugh.

"OH. MY.GOD! Thank god no one saw me! I must have looked like an idiot!"

Little did she know she had a gigantic rip down the right side of her skirt from her upper to her lower leg. She probably wouldn't be laughing then.
