Who: Chloe and OPEN TO MANY!
When: Evening
Where: Chloe's Bungalow
What: Open House Par-tay! Start a thread, and have fun! Multiple people per thread totally allowed!

Chloe spent a good portion of the day preparing for her house party. She didn't bother with sending out invitations since she didn't care who came as long as a bunch of people did. Chloe just put up a ton of flyers around town and the bungalows and hoped they got noticed and brought people to her front door. She named the time and place, even offered directions, and just asked that people help bring the beer. Chloe came from America, but she was glad they didn't have American drinking laws in this place. As far as she was concerned, eighteen was old enough for beer. Chloe had her own stash at the house, which she would be sharing with the party guests, but it never hurt to tell them to bring their own beer, too. The more, the merrier!

She stashed all of the breakable items in the cabinets and put on a display of colorful flashing lights inside of the house. Chloe strung up Christmas lights outside, which were good for anytime of the year as long as they included all sorts of colors like these. Everyone would be able to spot her bungalow easily at night thanks to these babies. She set out all sorts of snacks on the tables in bowls. Once she felt she was done, Chloe ran for the nearest mirror to check out her appearance. She wasn't going to host a party looking like crap, after all; she was going to look hot, plain and simple. Chloe had a simple idea of hot, though. She was wearing old but comfortable jeans and a cute bright green halter top that was loose around her frame and hung down to her hips. Her hair was curly and worn down, two barrettes clipping both sides of her hair out of her face.

Chloe was ready for a party, and she was just waiting for the first of the people to show up at her doorstep.

Who: Chloe and Kali
When: Evening
Where: The Tiki Hut
What: Chloe is closing up when an interesting person comes along.

Closing up shop at the end of the day took a lot of work. More work than people thought, at least as far as Chloe was concerned. Everything had to be cleaned and put away, and then the things that didn’t have to be cleaned but put away were folded up nicely and tucked away so the wind wouldn’t blow them into the lake overnight. Torches had to be put out one by one, and The Tiki Hut had tons of torches. With the help of her co-workers, The Tiki Hut was finally ready to close once all of the torches were extinguished. Chloe was in the middle of helping out with that when she noticed a figure in the distance.

Chloe frowned and rolled her eyes. Few people apparently cared to read the signs that The Tiki Hut closed early during bad weather. Sometimes they were open all day with different shifts for the workers, but right now it was down to daytime only. It was way too cold these days at night to be drinking beer and dancing themselves silly. Although the idea appealed to Chloe as well, she knew it wasn’t any fun doing those things while your teeth chatted along in your mouth to the beat of the music.

“We’re closed!” she called out, hoping the late night customer would get the picture and head back home. “We don’t serve once we start cleaning up! Everything is put away already!” Chloe was still focusing on extinguishing the torches, which was kind of fun sometimes. The thing she used for it looked a lot like an oversized soup ladle, and it made her grin in amusement to think she was using a kitchen utensil to put out fires.

Who: Susie (Aysu) and Chloe
What: Two Mermaids Talking
When: Early Afternoon
Where: Lake Alata’elen

Susie still wasn’t feeling completely recovered from her time outside the protection of Elysium. Her frequent bouts of nausea and soul-numbed state kept her confined mostly to her new home. Besides, there were so many people here. There were only a handful of times she’d ever been around large groups before and none of those experiences had ended well. So weeks after arriving, she felt nearly as isolated as she had been before.
She couldn’t help it; she was starting to get lonely. )

Who: Chloe & Nico
When: Morning
Where: The Tiki Hut
What: Chloe goes to work—and disaster strikes. Naturally.

Chloe hated horses, so she was walking along the dirt path to work. She lived at the water bungalows, and The Tiki Hut wasn’t far from her home. It was the reason why she chose to work there instead of in town. Had she chosen to work at the café, restaurant, or wine bar, Chloe would have found herself worn out from the on-foot travel. There was no way in hell she was taking a horse to get into town. Horses were dirty, smelly, and uncomfortable creatures to ride. She’d rely first on her own two feet before she ever considered jumping onto the back of one of those things.

Her two feet hadn’t failed her yet, and she was in cheerful spirits today. The weather had cleared up, which meant she finally got to work again. The Tiki Hut had been closed for the past four days because of the weather, and it had also been closed for about half of the past eighteen days since Loki disappeared to . . . wherever he was going. He was the real owner and boss. Her current boss was a stand-in for Loki, some buddy of his named Nico. Chloe had seen him around before, but she hadn’t really talked to him all that much. Not even since he became her boss. Hell, he’d only been that for nine or ten days. As if it counted.

As she neared the establishment, Chloe furrowed her brow at what looked like a cloudy mist hovering around The Tiki Hut. She thought the weather was supposed to be clear today. If Nico called her in to work on a wet and windy day, she was so going to kick his ass into next week. She didn’t even have an umbrella or a raincoat with her!

Drops of rain started to fall from the sky. Using her sling bag as a shield over her head, Chloe ran as fast as she could to the cover of the huge umbrella-like roof of the bar area. Her hair was matted and frizzy, her top was soaked, and she looked like a mess. “Nico!” she called out, her voice tinged with anger. “I thought we weren’t supposed to be open during bad weather!”
