Who: Zach and Adrienne
When: Night, shortly after 8:30 pm and during the snowfall.
Where: Adrienne's cottage, her bedroom.
What: Dealing with the aftermath of hell.

A low whistling noise filled the room as the wind howled outside of the window, and Zach’s eyes stared over Adrienne’s hair at the glass panes. He watched the swirls of white flakes and puffs float and twirl through the air together in an intricate dance before eventually landing on something below. Some flakes gathered on the ledge of the window, pilling up a white trail of fluff that looked a lot like cotton. There were no other noises inside of the room aside from the steady sound of their breathing.

His arm laid around Adrienne’s waist, careful not to touch her middle where Dante’s stab had pierced her flesh. Zach was still not sure if Adrienne was alive or not, even though they were lying here together. He hadn’t expected her to survive two deep stab wounds like those, but they said the shifting had saved her; it sped up the healing process, made the wounds smaller than what they originally started out as. A part of him still feared she would slip away in the middle of the night, and so he clung to her for as long as he could without letting go. Maybe this would be the last time he could hold her like this before she disappeared from his life forever.

Zach closed his eyes and buried his face into Adrienne’s hair, squeezing them shut as a few tears slid out. They would have soaked into the pillow if not for her hair, which took them in instead. Though he wasn’t pressed against her wounded back, he was very close to her, not even an inch away, and one of his legs was pressed to hers as the other had curled over hers long ago. The blankets were cozy above them, but the heat from the combined bodies was the only thing that really kept him warm.

Who: Zach, Nico, Dante, Dione, and Adrienne
When: Early Evening
Where: A cave near the western edge of the haven.
What: Zach and Nico wander off from the search party and find trouble.

Zach sat on the ground a little ways off from the fire, staring off into nowhere. He heard the crackle and pop of the flames eating up the twigs and the dead branches and the quiet murmur of conversation from other people in the group. It served as background noise for his troubled thoughts. He felt useless just sitting here, resting when they should be searching for Adrienne . . . and Dione. He almost forgot about the other girl in the midst of it all, but he wasn’t really trying to rescue her. Adrienne was his main priority. If they were able to take Dante out of the picture, Dione would be safe as well.

Zach already ate, a small helping but enough to keep him going. No one would miss him if he got up and looked around the area while everyone else was still taking their break. However, slipping away by himself wasn’t going to be easy. Glancing over to look at his best friend, Zach knew Nico would want to come with him if he got up to do more searching. There was no way in hell Nico would let him go alone. It wasn’t that bad, Zach reasoned, having your best friend want to come with you. Some people didn’t have best friends to care for them at all.

“You feel like doing more exploring?” Zach asked, reaching up to scratch the side of his head. His hair was itching. It had been a day or two since he last washed it. “I’m getting anxious just sitting here.”

Who: Dante, Dione, and Adrienne
When: Very early morning (~3 am)
Where: A cave near the western edge of the haven
What: A very special
Warning: Will possibly contain violence against a woman. Mature themes. Torture?

The forest was always quietest in the middle of the night, but even then it was never truly silent. There were crickets in the distance, leaves that rustled overhead, and bushes that moved unnaturally because of the nocturnal creatures that stalked their prey. Dante felt most comfortable in the night, but unlike the other animals he already had his prey in his grasp. He sat alongside Adrienne, her ankles and feet bound tightly with thick rope. She was dirty, but that didn't tarnish her beauty, or perfection.

And then there was Dione, the one he didn't have to tie up in any way. She came with him willingly, and that meant she wouldn't try to run away. Dante gazed at her calmly, but when he turned to look at Adrienne there was a fire in his eyes that burned like Hell itself.

He ran his fingers through Adrienne's hair, gentle at first before he turned it rough by grabbing at the strands to pull her head back. "When are you going to realize that you've lost," he said close to her mouth. "And you belong to me?" He licked her bottom lip, and pulled away before she could say anything to him. "Dione realizes she belongs to me," he said. Somewhere in his fucked mentality he thought a comparison would sway Adrienne to his side. Dante sidled over to the blind woman, and cupped her cheek in a manner that resembled love.

"You know you're mine, don't you," he asked Dione before he pressed his lips to hers. The action wasn't loving, but domineering, and rough, and all the while he watched Adrienne from the corner of his eyes. "Dione," he said afterward. "Beautiful Dione. How shall we celebrate this Valentine's Day, hm?"

OOC: Posting order can be Dante, Dione, then Adrienne.

[info]darkdevotion
Who: Dante and Adrienne
When: Night
Where: Adrienne's cottage
What: Dante claims his prize

Freedom tasted like a sweet nectar, a drink fit for the gods of old. Dante was no god, but he thought he was one. He felt powerful, and unstoppable, and now that he was free from the dungeons he was going to use that power for his own desires. He had slipped quietly from the silver lined cell at a time when the guards were switching shifts. They had only left one guard to watch him this time around - a human no less - and Dante took that as a sign from god. God wanted him to escape; wanted him to be free. If he hadn't then why would he have placed such an incompetent guard to watch him?

When Dante left the dungeon the guard was slumped in his chair apparently sleeping. No one would guess that his neck was broken until they came to check on him for the next shift change, and that wouldn't happen for another four hours. That was plenty of time for Dante to get what he wanted, and leave Elysium far behind him.

The lycanthrope was in Adrienne's cottage soon after his escape. He hid in the darkness in the same way as he did with Zach except that there would be no mistake this time. He was going to leave with his prize, and no one would even realize she was gone until it was too late.

[info]foxylady
Who: Mitsuko, Logan and Adrienne
When: Late evening
Where: Kamiyama-Nagamori/Jung cottage
What: A dinner between friends after organization fun

Mitsuko opened the oven and peeked in at the cooking steak. She licked her lips and poked at it carefully with a fork, not quite piercing the flesh. It was nice and rare on the inside, she could tell. Perfect for a pair of Kitsune and a Lycanthrope. She just hoped Charlie would be okay with it as well.

She put on an oven mitt and pulled the meat out of the oven, setting it down onto the table. She then placed down a side of greens and some rolls from the bakery. "I think we're just about ready to go," she said to Adrienne. "Let me just go call the boys."

Tranforming into her fox form, she darted out of the room and her soft fur-covered footsteps could be heard going up the stairs. "Logan! Charlie!" she called out. "We're ready to eat if you're done with your things!"

Mitsuko went back down into the kitchen with Adrienne. She grabbed a bottle of wine and began to uncork it. "Thanks for the help, Ookami-chan. I didn't realize just how settled I'd gotten in the other cottage."

Mitsuko and Logan had moved to a larger cottage. With Charlie and Chris now living with them the old one was too small. They had moved several days ago, but the last of the unpacking and organizing had only happened today (truthfully, Mitsuko probably would have finished had she not taken a 'stress relieving break' the night before at Sascha and Irei's).

She held out a glass of wine to Adrienne. "I can't believe it. Less than six months ago, the Council was saying I'm not mature enough to take care of three kids... Guess I showed them." She puffed out her chest briefly in pride, before dramatically deflating. "Of course, back then I didn't have much of a social life. I guess that's going to change." Certainly, sneaking out for sleepovers with Irei and Sascha should probably be curbed. Leaving a seventeen year old was one thing, but a seventeen year old and a pair of fourteen year olds? That seemed like a recipe for trouble.

Logan crept into the room silently. He went to Mitsuko's side and leaned in, whispering in her ear. Mitsuko frowned slightly. "Sweetie, it's Adrienne. You don't need to whisper to me."

"Charlie's asleep," Logan managed out, smiling nervously at Adrienne. "He was pretty tired."

"And Chris is still out..." Mitsuko cast a wary eye towards the door. She was going to have to keep an eye on that girl now that they were living together. But she put on a smile regardless. "I guess it's just the three of us! Sit down! I hope the food's all right, I'm still learning."

[info]beneaththeskin
Who: Katy and Adrienne
When: Afternoon
Where: First at Adrienne's house, and then across the street to Danté's home
What: A little breaking and entering

Katy had been more than a little bit disturbed since she had met with Danté in his cell. She had learned things that she probably would have been better off not knowing, but she had opened Pandora's box the moment she had involved herself with the public kidnapping of the young man, whom she had come to learn was named Zach.

He had pictures of her.

The thought had become obsessive and she hadn't been able to sleep last night. She had made sure every possible way someone could see into her house had been covered. She felt violated and powerless because of the loss of control in her world. She had become used to feeling strong, thinking nothing could actually hurt her because she was a lycanthrope. She needed to know whether Dante had lied to her again just to put her through this.

She had spent the morning figuring out where the madman had lived while he was still free, and found out that he lived in town. She was surprised to learn however that he lived so close to Adrienne Conté. She remembered Adrienne at the scene when Dante had broken her ribs and nearly suffocated her. She had wondered what could have prompted the two of them, Dante and her, to know each other.

She knocked on Adrienne's door. There was something she needed to do, but she felt like she should ask Adrienne if she would help her.

[info]cursedwithfur
Who: Adrienne and Ivy
When: Evening, after sunset
Where: The Wine Bar
What: Adrienne's feeling a little down, and is attempting to drown her sorrows

Everything had been going too well in Adrienne's world, and life saw fit to kick her in the ass for it. It figured she couldn't be happy forever, and with as much as she had to deal with lately there was just no way she could smile in spite of it all. She tried; she really really did, but it continued to build upon itself until she felt trapped underneath it all. Like Atlas with the weight of the heavens upon his shoulders Adrienne was forced to carry the burden of her troubles.

It had been a near week since she had spoken to Zach let alone see him, and four days since she found out the truth about Danté. He was the one who had bitten her over a year ago, and thrust her into the praeternatural realm. She had come to terms with it, or at least she thought she had until she had spoken to the sociopathic werewolf. Now she was facing all of her self-doubt again, and she was doing it by herself. Sure she had her family, and she had tried to talk to her brother about it, but she ended up shutting down around him. It was like she was trying to protect him and her father again like she had done in the beginning. She didn't lie to them she just neglected to tell them the whole truth.

"Can I get another," Adrienne asked the bartender as she pushed her glass away from her. The bartender filled the glass with ice, and poured whiskey straight over it before handing it back to her. She thanked him, a half smile forming on her lips before she drank half of it in one gulp. Adrienne had no idea why she was drinking since it barely had an effect on her; it always took a shitload of alcohol to get her drunk these days. The girl wasn't a smoker either, but she was smoking now taking a long drag off the cigarette she had bummed from a guy at the Wine Bar. It wasn't like it was going to kill her; there were far worse ways to die in her eyes. Besides, it wasn't like she was going to get addicted to them.

She just didn't want to be herself for one night, and she wanted to forget every bad thing that had happened in the past week.

"More," she said to the bartender. "In fact, leave the bottle here. It's going to be a long night."

[info]cursedwithfur
Who: Adrienne/Narrative
When: Late night
Where: Town cottage area
What: Adrienne leaves an apology gift for Zach on his doorstep

Regret was one of those things that came at Adrienne like a freight train. She was(figuratively) on the tracks with the train speeding at her, blaring its horn, and flashing its one light to get her attention. Like most people Adrienne ignored it for as long as she could, choosing to think about other things until the last possible moment when it couldn't be ignored any longer. Only then did she step off the tracks allowing it to pass like anything else. It was the decision to move, to do something, that allowed her to deal with it.

This situation was like that. Adrienne had regretted the words she had said to Zach the day before. She regretted her pushy attitude, and how she hadn't taken Zach's feelings into consideration. She was selfish that day, and she only wanted to talk with her boyfriend to make herself feel better despite what he wanted. It was a stupid thing to do, and it resulted in the both of them blowing up, and hurt feelings on both sides.

But Adrienne wasn't the type of girl who was so stubborn that she couldn't see the forest for the trees. She was the type of girl that took responsibility for her actions, good or bad, and she wasn't afraid to be the first to apologize. She knew she was wrong, and she wanted to make up for it.

Despite that it was fairly obvious that Zach wasn't ready to see, or even talk to her. As much as she would have rather apologized in person she knew that would have been too pushy, and it would have gone against Zach's need for solidarity. So the girl did the next best thing: she sent him a note.

That night she had left a basket of cookies and a note outside of Zach and Nico's cottage. The basket was wrapped in clear cellophane, and the tag clearly had Zach's name on it. The gift would be found in the morning, and hopefully it would mend the hurt feelings from the day before.

[info]darkdevotion
Who: Dante and (Open to many)
When: All day
Where: Dungeons
What: The crazed lycanthrope is finally behind bars

How had this happened? How had he ended up trapped behind silver-lined bars a prisoner instead of out in the wild a free man? How had he let that damn alchemist slip through his fingers alive, and well? The questions that plagued Dante's mind forced him into an almost fugue-like state of eerie silence. He no longer made any attempt to appear, or act normal. What was the point of it when everyone knew what he truly was? What they saw behind those bars was a stone cold killer. Someone who held human life in such small regard that he could squash it like a child squashed small bugs.

The look in his eyes revealed the emptiness of his soul - a dark abyss that could drown anyone who dared to look deep into them. His jaw was clenched tight, and his hands were balled into fists with his nails digging into his palms. Blood dripped onto the floor of his cell, and seeped in between the cracks in the stone. He sat on a chair in the corner of his cell partially hidden in darkness, and shadows. Dante's eyes glistened evilly even in his dim surroundings, and though he was behind fortified bars danger emanated throughout the dungeon as if he could reach beyond them to tear out your heart.

And so he sat in silence in the partial darkness. The guards and the rats were his only company, but at least he could catch the rats and snap their necks. It was the only release he had for his rage. There were at least a dozen on them on the floor - dead rats. Some were torn in half, others were lucky enough to just have broken necks. Some were missing their heads and limbs as if Dante plucked them off one by one. Like petals off a flower, Dante's victims were just as fragile, and just as expendable.

[info]nospoon
Who: Those injured in the confrontation with Danté, Medical Pavilion Staff, and anyone else who'd like to join in
When: Late morning
Where: Medical Pavilion
What: Treating the injured, and other various little scenes

The medical pavilion was usually busy with minor things, the sort of everyday injuries that one would expect to see in small cities. There were no gunshots wounds to worry about, or car accidents to pry people from. There were no rapes, or gang related incidents. The 'normal' injuries that could be found in a secluded haven like Elysium were things like cuts, and scrapes. Occasionally a broken bone would come through the place, or a baby would be born, and the staff could always count on the full moon to bring them lycan related injuries.

So when the victims from the altercation with a non-full moon crazed werewolf came in the night before the medical pavilion staff was excited to say the least. It wasn't the idea of having injured citizens that was exciting, but it was the chance to use their skills to the fullest that was. Granted everyone would rather have injury free people in the haven, but there were something that felt right about getting the chance to use the skills you had to help the people around you.

Needless to say Zane didn't sleep all night, and he was still going strong the next morning when it came time to check in on the patients. "I need someone to check in on Ms. Wilson in room three, Mr. Connolly in room five, and Mr. Ishikawa in room seven. Get their vitals, see if they're awake yet, and if there are any complications then come and get me. So, any volunteers?"

[info]darkdevotion
Who: Dante, Zach, and whoever else wants to join in
When: Evening, after this
Where: The Temple
What: The showdown finally comes to an end

Too many voices. There were just too many voices inside, and out for Dante to deal with. He had to run. Had to feel free even though he was anything but. There was no freedom in this place, and so his frustrations were showing themselves in the most violent of ways.

The lycanthrope carried Zach through the more deserted areas of the town. Back alleys that were nothing like the ones of New York or L.A., but still back alleys with little light, and places to hide. But Dante didn't stop to hide. He just ran, and ran, holding Zach tightly in his clutches. Without realizing it he ran all the way to the Elven temple, a place that would normally be a sanctuary would be the place where Zach would meet his end. It seemed fitting in the werewolf's mind even though it would effectively corner him in one place. Dante just wasn't thinking clearly, but every decision he made was backed-up with a fallacy he created in his mind.

Inside the temple Dante dropped Zach to the floor before he put a heavy foot on his back. He began to revert into a human form if only so he could talk to Zach. He was shirtless when he was done, and wearing a pair of tattered jeans. Dante knelt in front of Zach, and lifted his head by pulling on Zach's hair. "I don't usually kill men," he said with a smirk. "But I'll make an exception for you just like I made an exception for that other guy. What was his name—" He paused, and tapped his chin with his free hand. "Oh right, Simon. You remember Simon, don't you?"

[info]darkdevotion
Who: Dante, Zach, and open to others
When: Evening
Where: Beginning at Market Place
What: Dante's a shady mofo, fo'real, and he's mentally unstable.

The dark aura around Dante spread out like grotesque wings, slicing through the tranquil air in the haven and leaving behind a heaviness that hadn't been present before. Dante flew through the night on those dark wings with Zach in tow. One hand clasped tight around the boy's smaller wrists as he dragged him through the dusty trails of the cottages. The lycanthrope didn't know where he was going, or what he was going to do with the boy. No - he did know what he was going to do with Zach. He was going to kill him. Gut him from throat to groin, and let his innards spill to the earth. He'd display the empty shell in front of Adrienne's house as a final show of power. How could he resist her then if she saw how weak the alchemist truly was? Surely, she wouldn't.

He was only semi-shifted with sharp claws on his hands, and sharp teeth in his mouth. His shirt was torn with the protruding muscles of his arms, chest, and back. The vertebrae of his back was pushing upward, curving into the lumbering form of the werewolf. His muzzle had yet to form, but the madness in his eyes was already there. It had always been there. Lying in wait for the perfect moment that didn't exist. There was no perfection in this - only insanity and chaos. All of Dante's planning didn't mean a thing when it seemed violence was the only way to make things happen.

He should've known that the only way to get things in life was to take them.

All logic was gone from the man's mind, and he made his way toward the market place without another thought. Dante didn't think of the people he would encounter, or the fact that someone might recognize him. He was a rabid animal running wherever his feet took him. Instinct had taken over, as did madness. Madness must never be overlooked.

He was in the market place before he knew it, and there were eyes on him. Staring at him. Whispering about him. He heard them all, too. It was too much. He growled as loud as he could, a warning to everyone to stay back.

[info]cursedwithfur
Who: Adrienne and Zach
When: Night, around 8 PM
Where: Medical Pavilion
What: Adrienne just wants to go home, but Zach convinces her otherwise.

"I don't see why I can't go home." Adrienne's voice was echoing through the long corridor in the Medical Pavilion as she tried to walk past a couple of nurses who were blocking her.

"Miss Conté, it has been recommended that you remain here for another night for observation. It would be best for you to return to your room."

"But I feel fine," Adrienne whined. Though the lycanthrope came into the facility in pretty bad shape that wasn't the case now. Couldn't they see that she was fine? Adrienne was fully healed thanks to Theora who had been called in due to the severity of her injuries. Thinking about the situation caused Adrienne's stomach to twist in knots. Had she ever been that badly hurt before? The attack that made her a werewolf wasn't that severe though she wondered if it could have been if her attacker wasn't interrupted.

She shook the thoughts from her mind just as the nurses began to lead her back to her room. Adrienne squirmed in their grasp trying desperately to free her arms from their hands. "C'mon you guys," she pleaded. "I just want to go for a walk." Adrienne didn't like being restrained like a child, or some sort of crazy person who couldn't take care of herself. Coupled with the fact that she was still in a hospital gown, and wriggling around left and right she probably did look crazy.

[info]cursedwithfur
Who: Adrienne and Danté
When: A little past midnight
Where: A path toward the freshwater lake
What: Danté follows through on a threat

The full moon was waning, and despite the chill in the air it was enough to make Adrienne go out for a walk. It was a beautiful night; blissfully quiet, and peaceful. Adrienne felt as if she were in a wonderland, something that wasn’t too far off from the reality of Elysium. There were times the lycanthrope still couldn’t believe that the haven was real even though she had been there for almost a year. She took a deep breath, and felt the clean air filling her lungs completely. Was the air ever this fresh in Chicago?

Her feet took her toward the freshwater lake, and though it wasn’t her intended destination (she really wasn’t headed anywhere in particular) she didn’t mind it at all. Adrienne was reminded of Lake Michigan every time she went there, and it always brought back good memories.

But that wouldn’t be the case tonight.

Bad memories were just around the corner, and they would rear their ugly head sooner than Adrienne ever expected.

If I can't have you, no one can. )

ooc: If anyone wants to write a narrative (in the form of a comment to this thread) of their character finding Adrienne, and taking her to the medical pavilion, then please do!

[info]tenebroso
Who: Edelia and Adrienne
When: Afternoon
Where: Art Supply Shop
What: Oops!

The whole tug of war regarding shop authority between Daiyu and Edelia was getting pretty heated. Sometimes Edelia would draw some pretty unique designs on the shop only to have them painted over by the bitch. Sure, at first Edelia understood the whole stocking preference thing by perhaps colors over name or whatever they were fighting over. But now it was getting ridiculous. The rival was purposefully stocking messy cans on top leaving the paint to drip all over the cans beneath. She knew Edelia would come into the store in the morning and clean the shit up. On the plus side, Edelia did tinker with a ladder and cause the annoying excuse for a haven occupant to nearly break her neck.

On this morning, the Naga was on edge. Her hands were doused in paint while she cleaned up yet another clever "get back" from the metahuman. She was cursing left and right and when she just about had it-she found a few of Daiyu's drawings and paintings scattered across the back of the shop. Her grin was wide and menacing while she gathered the pieces and began to throw them outside.

Now, Edelia was inconsiderate and ruthless. It was one thing to throw someone's paintings outside, it was another to open a can of paint and begin to toss bright colors of blue and green unto the rather nice drawings. She was flinging the paint carelessly unaware that she could actually hit someone passing by. All she had were two things in mind. One being that the elven guards could pick up her mess and two, this was a great get back.

[info]cursedwithfur
Who: Adrienne and Zach
When: Afternoon
Where: Conté cottage, Adrienne's room
What: Broken ribs are not fun!

The full moon was all but a blur to Adrienne, especially the part when she had gotten into a fight that was bad enough to break a couple of her ribs. Another wolf had jumped her from behind, she remembered fighting, but in the end they had gotten the better of her. Typical werewolf rough housing was what it boiled down to. Even with advanced healing broken ribs took at least a week to heal even with Elven medicine and magic. It was the reason she had stayed home for the past two days. Walking home from the medical pavilion had been hard enough that Adrienne couldn't imagine walking anywhere else.

Her dad and brother had been especially helpful, and they catered to her every need. Jason could empathize with Adrienne if only because he had broken a rib once a few years back. He told her it was one of the most painful things he ever experienced, and now Adrienne agreed. It felt like someone had taken a sledge hammer straight to her chest, and just let her have it good. She literally felt broken, but she tried not to let the pain show on her face. It was a shame that faster healing didn't come with higher pain threshold.

Adrienne sat on the edge of her bed, her feet planted firmly on the ground to brace herself to stand. She took a deep breath, one that turned out to be a bad idea since that hurt, too. She inhaled sharply, and grabbed her side. "Oww..." she mumbled under her breath. Werewolves were supposed to be tough, but she felt far from it now. She glanced at the door to her room, and sighed. Maybe she really didn't have to go to the washroom just yet.

[info]headcouncil
Who: All werewolves and guests at the barrier
When: Before sunset, and onward
Where: Werewolf barrier, Northeastern forest
What: Full moon and a forest full of werewolves

The falling snow gave a false sense of peace for there was nothing peaceful about the full moon, at least not for those who were its prisoner month after month. The silver orb in the sky, hundreds of thousands of miles away, was the catalyst for the violent change in the lycanthropes. No, the peaceful atmosphere upon the land would only last until the sun sank below the horizon. Then the night would be overcome by the howls from each and every lycanthrope.

The lycanthropes traveled to the enclosure before sunset, most of them dressed in old, worn-out clothing that would get destroyed during their transformation. From afar their trek was reminiscent of a death march, slow, reluctant footfalls through the snow until they reached their destination. Christmas Eve did little to alleviate the foreboding aura that descended like the unending snow.

Tonight, the snow would bleed. Deep crimson seeping through the pristine crystals until it reached the frozen earth. There would be few areas free from the bloodshed, and the carnage. It was the reason the enclosure was needed. It confined the werewolves, and their murderous rage to an area free of humans and praeternaturals. It kept the citizens safe to enjoy their winter holiday while the wolves raced through the trees and underbrush after their prey.

[info]foxylady
Who: Mitsuko and Adrienne
When: Afternoon
Where: Helicharis
What: Hanging out and girl talk

Mitsuko had never been big about celebrating Christmas. Her mother was old-fashioned, traditional Japanese and ignored Western holidays. Not to mention Christmas had the implications of family togetherness.

In the years she had been on her own, Christmas had mainly served the purpose of Getting Mitsuko Stuff. Her admirers would use the holiday as a way to earn her favor. She'd accepted the gifts of course, but always spent the day alone.

This year was different. She had Logan, who was spending his first Christmas without his parents. They were a family and Mitsuko was going to make sure he had a good holiday.

That was why she was out in Helicharis with her best friend, getting presents for her brother and the few friends she had. If she was really trying to connect with people now, she was going to show it.

She felt a bit bad about Adrienne walking around town so close to the moon, with snow all over the ground. But Adrienne was a trooper and she wanted to go out herself (presumably for her own family and boyfriend).

She frowned slightly as she came up with a thought. Mitsuko turned to her friend curiously. "Do you think I should get a tree? I don't know if anyone's got any... And I really don't have anything to decorate it with...."

Who: Adrienne and Zach
When: Around 1 PM
Where: Fields and Hills Northwest of Helicharis
What: Playing in the snow

Though it had been a day or two since the snow had fallen, it still looked fresh in the fields that surrounded Helicharis. Adrienne hadn't seen such pure snow since she visited the Rocky Mountain area when she was a kid; the snow that Chicago received would be turned into grey slush as soon as the morning commute came around. Even in the less populated areas of the city, the snow that accumulated was never as fresh looking as this.

The werewolf had convinced Zach to join her for some fun in the snow. The dark-haired girl dressed warmly in the jacket that Zach had gotten her for her birthday, along with a scarf, hat, boots, and gloves. She also brought along a sled (one that she picked up at the woodshapers) with the hope that they would find a hill they could slide down. The snow invigorated the girl, and she was practically bouncing through the fields despite the fact that the snow almost reached her knees.

"C'mon, Zach!" She called out to her boyfriend when they reached an area that had a few trees and bushes in the vicinity. It wasn't a spot where they could go sledding, but the lycanthrope was confident that they would find a hill soon. Adrienne looked over her shoulder for Zach only to find that her boyfriend was no where in sight. She stopped in her tracks and let the sled down onto the ground. "Zach?" She called out again wondering where in the world he could have gone.

Who: Adrienne and Danté
When: Afternoon
Where: Just a little outside Adrienne's cottage
What: Adrienne bumps into her new neighbor

The snow beckoned Adrienne to venture forth from her cottage. The frozen crystals shimmered like sequence upon the branches of the trees that surrounded the town cottages. It was beautiful out, and though it was cold Adrienne was never the type to stay inside because of it.

She had buttoned up the jacket that Zach had given her for her birthday, and wrapped a scarf around her neck. Her hands were protected within gloves though she probably didn't need it. Adrienne just liked the cozy feel of gloves on her hands, especially in the cold. The lycanthrope let out a long breath when she finally stepped outside, and watched with childlike glee as the steam rose into the air.

She began to walk down the path and away from her cottage. Adrienne made her way toward the stables, something she normally did during her afternoons.

Dante had kept close watch... )
