Sunday: September 2, 2007
Who: Adio and Freya
When: Mid Afternoon (lol much better)
Where: Ceramics/Market
What: Adio checks out da ceramics

Sanura was the type to get drunk just by smelling something tainted with alcohol, her small frame not able to handle much. So, she was far in hangover land and throwing things at her brother demanding he get things at the Market. Adio should have gotten trashed so it was vise-versa. But he doubted he would have been throwing a fit because their was no junk food left. Plus, he wasn't too much of a drinker.

But he supposed drawing the short straw so to say was a good thing. Adio needed to somewhat explore the market a bit. He really only tended to one shop at a time. He would maybe go to the bakery, then head home. He figured since Sanura fell deep back into sleep by the time he left, today would be a good day to explore all sorts of shops. Then he would get her junk food to shut her up.

He took mental note that the sweets shop was near the ceramics shop. Ceramics struck a cord as interesting. It was terribly convenient as well since the ceramics shop was tucked behind the sweets shops.

As he entered the shop, he didn't see anyone immediately, but he heard distant noises. To make sure he wasn't intruding (even thought it was a shop, he was just over formal like that) he spoke up after only a few footsteps inside.

"He-Hello?"

Freya was crouched down under the front counter, putting some of the pieces in the display case. She was being rather fickle about it. Perhaps she was down there for about five minutes now, making a fuss about the pieces being aligned in a nice row. She truly believed the display could truly mean everything about the piece itself.

her current project was making rather basic tea pots and giving the suggestion that people head on over to the Art supplies shop and customize them. Something very fun and relaxing. They could even settle on in some of the tables here and have their painting sessions.

When she heard someone hesitate in their greetings she popped her head up and smiled. "Oh come on now, it is an open shop. I'd only be annoyed if you came during me lunch hour." She got up, dusting her hands on her dirtied jeans. "Are you looking for something?"

Adio laughed lightly, rubbing the back of his neck in a sheepish matter. "Your fault I didn't see you." He teased lightly. "You really were buried down there." He looked around the nicely decorated place, not sure if it was her doing or not. "You add to this place? It looks rather nice." He complimented. His hands folded as he looked at the various forms of things she and perhaps other people in the shop had created.

"I'm not really looking for anything. I just have never been here to be honest. It's in a rather clever place though. You know. People have a sweet tooth and right behind the sweets shop." Sometimes Adio was rather shy at conversation at first, so he wasn't sure if it seemed as if he wasn't interested in speaking to her. Or if it seemed he was more interested in the things around her.

Freya didn't know why, but she was rather ashamed to admit she was the culprit that added to the shop. "Yeah. That would be me." She confirmed, damping her hands in a clean water bucket and watching as it filled with the colors of the countless paints and clays. Freya should have done that before she tainted her jeans. But, that was what washing clothes was for.

She walked to the side far from Adio to clean off her hands with a towel. "Thank you, by the way. it just was so plain when I got here. There was maybe a few decorations in the wood here and thee. Other than that..Not much. I figured I would drape some things around and all. After that I just couldn't help me-self."

The Telepath gave a throaty laugh at the ceramics location. "You know, it's very toxic for me. I go there every day and indulge myself in chocolate. I swear I am afraid I have gained at least five pounds in a week."

Freya would not mind if he was interested in looking around, but she ducked her head to catch his view. "Sit down. Stay awhile." She teased, motioning towards a seat. "You wanna paint something?" She walked towards him. "Or at least tell me your name. Might help, yeah? I'm not the calling a man 'sir' type of gal."

Adio hesitated a moment before he made ways towards the table in the center. He didn't know what to say at first. Paint? Why he hadn't done something like that since he was a child. If it was something that didn't involve true art talent then he would be up for it. So Adio spoke up ever so softly, running his hand through his hair as he sat down slowly.

"Ah, yeah sure. I wouldn't mind painting something. What do you have?" He gave a comforting laugh. "And no worries. I don't know anyone who doesn't like chocolate. In fact I was out here to truly get chocolate for my sister. But I figured since she is in a dead sleep that I could visit this place." He drew lines down the table with his index finger. "I'm glad I did."

The Therianthrope shifted, resting an elbow on the table as he looked in the strangers direction. "I'm Adio." His cheeky smile emerged. It just was natural. "Your turn."

Freya grabbed a tea pot from under the counter. She figured it would be easy enough to do. After he painted it, she would let it dry then heat it to give it a solid design so it would be usable and not to mention Adio may feel quite accomplished that he finished the task.

"Here. Just paint this. I got all sorts of colors." She set the tea pot in front of him, then went towards a drawer to get a basket of paints. "There we are. Paint away. Just make sure you do at least three coats and that it's in horizontal lines. Believe me. It will show when it's heated and all."

She then figured maybe he wanted 'painting company'. So Freya got a tea pot for herself and sat across from him. "The names Freya. Seems like a weird name to many. But I think it's just fine, yeah? I like your name. Reminds me of music and the Ipod I miss so dearly." The Telepath teased. She opened up a few tubes of paint and got to painting.

She wasn't one to let silent fill the room for to long, so though her eyes were concentrating on the pot, she let her eyes flicker up for a second. "How long have ya been here?"

Adio got a few colors of blue from the scatted paint on the table and smiled over at her as he set them near the teapot. "I like your name. Sounds strong or something." Okay, perhaps that was not the kind of compliment he was seeking.

"It's a very pretty name. Suits you, you know?" He started painting the first line on the tea pot. Sometimes Adio felt like maybe he offended people and he tended to continue on with his explanations to further deepen a compliment.

"Sometimes you look at someone and when they tell you their name you couldn't see them as someone else." He finished, agreeing with himself that it was the finale of his explanation and it was good enough.

The animal shifter laughed at Freya's comment about his name, looking up from his painting. "You know, it makes me miss music like hell too." He agreed. "The only music I really have is my guitar and I hope that when my strings die I have somewhere to go to fix them."

When the room was filled with silence he looked over to Freya a few times, before looking down. Adio was rather horrible when it came to girls he found attractive. She almost caught him but he looked down just on time.

"I've been here about a week and a half. Not all that long. You?"

Freya had to take a moment to think about how long she had been residing in the haven. Sometimes she didn't want to think about it because then she would miss her family, miss her friends then she would start to miss her job. All of it then because rather depressing.

"Ahh, I believe it's been about three weeks now. At first I was so uselessly scared." She laughed at the thought of her first few days. It was mostly crying and sulking. "Then I finally got around to keeping myself busy to try and forget about the bad things. At least I am safe, yeah?' Freya smiled shyly. "The company is good too."

Freya had been painting her tea pot rather calming colors of green. She'd say she was a green freak and she already made a red one. "You have family here?" Freya didn't want to seem like she was asking him trivia questions, but it was nice talking to him.

The Telepath put her elbow on the table to take a break from painting and rested the side of her face into her hand. She had to admit she was sneaking in her fair share of looking as well.

Adio laughed when they caught glances and was laughing even more when he caught eye of the paint all over the side of Freya's face. "You ah..You got paint." He pointed towards his own cheek to signal the spot where the paint was on the woman's face. It was standing rather brightly from her skin due to her flattering dark tone.

He got up to get a towel and dampen it in a clean bucket after he had cleaned his own hands. "Shame. I thought I would have done that first." Adio sat back down and handed Freya the wet towel. "No worries. It's a good shade on you."

The animal shifter had forgotten that Freya had asked about his family. He checked his hands before he scratched his head.

"Well I live here with my sister. She has been here for about a month I reckon. And well I don't know about my other family. My father..he didn't make it before we even came here. As far as my mother and my sister. I wish them the best. Hopefully if they don't end up here. They will end up in another haven." He shifted. "You?"

Freya had done this many times before so she simply smiled and patted her face. "Red usually looks better you know. You caught me on a bad day." She responded playfully. She wasn't one who usually cared for marks of paint on herself. Even if it were on her rear end she would still have a light hearted spirt about it.

When the color cleared for her face she set the towel aside and released a soft sigh. "I'm sorry about your dad. It must have been hard, yeah?" She asked carefully. "And your sister must be as nice as you. I have high hopes for your family. Word of mouth is that there are tons of havens placed around the world. I'm not sure how many. But if they do not make it here my hopeful wishes are that they did in fact make it to another safe place."

The Telepath smirked when it came to herself. "Ah, I was a brat. Only child so I have just me mum and dad to worry about. I was busy working in wedding planning so I was in another part of New Zealand when I got word of the virus. We promised to meet..But you know how that goes."

Adio laughed. "Wear a few colors and you will be the female version of Bravehart." He began to paint again. "I'd enjoy you in a kilt over Mel Gibson any day. Good lord, maybe that movie is a classic but I still find him a kilt rather unpleasant." He shook the thought out of his head then waved a hand.

"Please, don't worry about my father. It was hard at the time. But, he's in the whole..You know better place thing." It brought a smile to his face. It was ten times better to say it rather carelessly than to put a deep thought into it. If you let your mind wonder into deep space about someone you lost, you get depressed over something you or no one else can change.

The Therianthrope found himself chuckling as she explained herself. "That's you. Even when I look you It reads:" he placed his hands up, like he was painting words in the air. "Spoiled brat wedding planner from New Zealand." He set his hands down to continue his task. "It fits you so well. Yet how the hell do you mask it so well with a double personality of being so nice? Must be your power, yeah?"

Adio smiled at her with comfort. "I'm sorry you couldn't continue your job. This whole virus thing has really ruined everything."

Freya threw a look as she laughed. "Yep! That's me. I am a sweetheart one second, then the next I am a raging bitch and brat that makes you run out of this shop." She teased, pointing towards the door. "Must be why this shop is as dead as a doornail, yeah?" She asked with fake curiosity. The truth was it was touch and go like any other shop back when the world wasn't so troubled. Sometimes it was so busy the list of things to do made her head spin. Other times it was so slowed she thought she would die of boredom.

The whole issues of 'powers' made her a tad uneasy honestly, so she changed the subject. Besides, who wanted to go into the subject of the virus.

"So, how is that tea pot looking?"

Adio checked out his teapot, the colors mending together rather nicely. He supposed their rather easing conversation (of course until what he had just said. He was oblivious) enabled him to paint with ease. He was sure he had at least three coats, some of the paint pooling around the tea pot.

He didn't want to ruin the crafty design that was not mingled in any sort of way so he lifted it up and eyed her sheepishly. "Is there a place where I can put this?" Adio asked carefully. Then it occurred to him that he should also get back to his sister who may be whining about now.

"I better head to the shops..But..Uhm." His head looked towards the table and he was now counting whatever scratches he saw on it. "Maybe we could go somewhere sometime? Besides you know, where you work?" He made made a gesture still as to where to put the teapot, just in case the situation was awkward for the both of them.

Freya couldn't help but let a smile make it's way on her face. Was he? No, he must have meant it in a way to perhaps continue the chat. His voice did tighten like he was nervous. Not to mention he seemed like he was in a rather uncomfortable state. Poor guy.

The Telepath gently slid the teapot from Adios hand, a smile creeping on her face that was filled with flattery and adoration. "I live at the water bungalows if you would like to go out sometime. I have carvings of leaves and all on my door. You can't miss it. Just feel free to stop anytime. But unlike the shop. Just make sure you knock." She teased lightly as she went to place Adios teapot to dry.

"It was nice meeting you." She said softly as she placed the pot firmly on the back counter top. An ever wider smile than before came to. "And I do hope to see you soon."

Adio was probably sitting at the table shyly for a few moments, hands fumbling a bit. They were dirtied with all sorts of paint and sadly for him he had to pass Freya to clean his hands. He made a soft laughing noise as their eyes made brief contact and he washed his hands like a mad man. It was pretty brave for him to ask to see the Ceramic shop worker to keep in touch, so he felt a little hot in the face.

He scooted past her, making a nod in thanks instead of words. Words would probably make him look even more like a baffled fool. As he reached the door he waved at her. Oh god, he wouldn't tell Sanura about this. She would never shut up about it.
