Who: Caden and OPEN
Where: Helicharis
When: Midday
What: Band advertising!

Caden whistled to himself as he walked down the street of Helicharis with flyers underneath his arm. He had great plans for the band he was going to start with Adair. With Adair on guitar, and him singing lead vocals, the band needed someone on drums and possibly a bass guitar - but where could he find instruments like that? He'd search for materials later to build them. Flyers were first. Taking the first piece of paper, Caden placed it against one of the walls of the buildings and stuck it on with a bit of blu-tack that he scrounged from his belongings.

The poster read: 'Do you play an instrument? Ever wanted to be in a band but never had the opportunity? Are you ready to ROCK? If so, you're in luck: Adair Fallon and Caden McCall are starting a band and want YOU to join! Come by our forest cottage for auditions, clearly signed!' He was proud of his flyer and hoped that it would bring in at least a few prospective band members. His mood brightened and he started to sing to himself. "Get your motor running/Head out on the highway.." he hummed the next bit, because the most fun part was the chorus anyway. "Boooorn to be wiiiild!" Oh yes, he was rocking the town!

Caden moved to another building a ways down the road and stuck the second poster on the wall. They were easily removable and wouldn't leave any tack on the wall, but he hoped that people wanted to look at his sign before taking it down immediately. He continued with his singing of 'Born to be Wild' and even started to jut his head to the beat in his mind. Like with everything, he remembered the song clearly down to the last detail. His idea greatly excited him, probably more than normal, but he didn't care.

A weeks time had passed. This road had seemed empty every time Adio had had went down it, no matter how slow or quick his pace. He just wanted to to ask someone anyone if they had seen his baby sister. It was a rather strange start of conversation, but at the same time to others it may seem like a very familiar, typical question. Maybe about half of the population here was in search of someone. Or worst-had lost someone.

All the Therianthrope could think about was how he let his sister go ahead of him along with his mother in hopes that through the chaos the haven would open it's gates and she would make it inside. Now, Adio wished he would have went with her. But there were too many things to tend to before he headed towards Elysium with other natives from Clarens.

Adio was somewhat relieved he heard a faint sound interrupting his thoughts.

"Is that?"

He chuckled, glad to have someone amusing to run into. He didn't seem like he would be a threatening encounter so Adio thought he would go for it. The shifter leaned against one of the walls , folding his arms and flashed a smile.

"You know you put some true justice to Steppenwolf." How could he forget the great old band that created the song used in so many movies. "Looked like you were re-enacting a whole scenario in your mind. Classic, I did adore that much so." He felt horribly rude for not introducing himself on his sudden intrusion to the mans vivid signing.

"AH, sorry. My name is Adio." He shifted from the wall to take the mans hand. Adio then reached into his pocket with his free hand. He unfolded a picture of Sanura". She would kill Adio if she knew he showed this. She was slightly younger, but it still looked just like her. "And if you would forgive me. I am searching for my sister."

He had spare time, even if the man did not know where she was. "But please, I would enjoy to know what you are doing?" His brow arched towards the flyer.

The sudden appearance of someone who spoke nearby startled Caden but he tried not to jump. He glanced to the side and saw a brown-haired man leaning against the wall. It was good to have another Steppenwolf fan. With a grin, Caden pressed the final corner of the poster and turned towards him fully. "Thanks. It's one of the best rock-out tunes made. I was imagining myself on stage with a microphone in front of a crowd of girls reaching for me. Have you ever done that? Imagining it, not the singing. Though I'm planning to do that soon."

Adio? If he had the same first two letters as Adair, then that may be a good sign this man was a decent sort. "Good to meet you, Adio," Caden said and shook his hand. "I'm Caden. Australian, but you could tell that by the accent." He looked at the picture the man had in his hand and gazed at it for a couple of moments, furrowing his brow so it seemed as though he tried to remember her face. Truthfully, Caden just wanted to stare. Adio's sister was beautiful and if he'd seen her around, he certainly would remember. He had a bit more decency than to state that aloud, so instead he shook his head and frowned. "Sorry, mate, haven't seen her. Is she missing? If so, for how long?" These facts were good to know if he was asking Caden's help.

His mood lightened as Adio asked about the flyers - finally, an opportunity to pimp his band. Caden held out one of the posters in front of him and said, "My best friend Adair and I are thinking about creating a band here. I'm still working on finding drums and a bass guitar, but it's a matter of asking around and getting on the carpenter's good side. Do you play an instrument? The more, the merrier!" He was stupidly energetic for the occasion, so excited that he might be able to find another band member. Any musician was better than nothing.

As soon as Caden spoke, Adio could detect the island flow perfectly and he chuckled. "Ahh, yes. Good old Australia. Could tell right off the bat." He folded his arms as Caden looked at the picture and referred to Caden's question as to if he imagined himself as a babe magnet on stage when he faux rock and rolled. "Sadly, I am the pathetic walking around music video type. I don't know why. It just appeals to me more." He admitted, awaiting Caden's response. Adio was eager. But perhaps the longer the Aussie looked the picture over, the better the chance Caden knew his baby sister and her location.

Adio frowned when Caden revealed he had not seen his sister. "I believe she has made it here before I have. I have arrived about a week now. Been searching high and low for her." Adio ruffled a hand through his hair, tucking the picture in his pocket. "Thanks though."

Adair, there was a unique name. A band, eh? "You are starting a band?" he wanted to lie about playing an instrument. He was rather sheepish about playing. "Yeah I am a guitar freak." Adio admitted shyly.

His semi-strong accent was a dead giveaway, but that was all right. Most people seemed to respond positively to the accent... at least they had done to his face. "Of course! Can't really miss it, can you?" Learning that Adio was also the music video type amused him to no end. "If only they could find some way to take the images from our mind and post it behind us. No, our surroundings become the music video like a Holosuite!" He smiled sheepishly. "Star Trek fan."

He almost wished that Sanura walked up next to them right now so he could see her in person, because the picture hardly did her justice. This was ridiculous, crushing on a photograph. "I hope you find her, mate." And hope you introduce me. He reached out a hand to clasp the other man's shoulder briefly. (Caden was a touchy-feely guy.) "And then you two can meet and have a happy sibling reunion with tears and cake and singing around the campfire. Only joking. Big bash seems more your style, yeah?"

Aha, a guitar freak! An excited grin emerged on Caden's face. "Yes, yes I am. Finding drums is going to be more difficult than I expected if no one has brought their drumkit along which is highly likely. We could use animal skins and I know to put the rest together if we have enough metal.. but that's technical details and I don't want to bore you." He hoped Adio was interested.. "Adair loves the guitar as well. Maybe the two of you can jam some time. I know he'd like that." There was no reason to be shy with Caden because he was impressed with any skill at playing instruments. He knew the technical aspects of playing, but it didn't necessarily mean he was very good. "And if you'd like to join our band, even better!"

So far, so good. Maybe more people who could play an instrument were just around the corner.

Adio chuckled. This guy truly seemed like the type of guy he'd spend time with back home. The friends he was studying with when he was attempting med school would often unwind funnily enough around a campfire with a jam session or just talk about mindless things that didn't mean anything at all. Amazingly enough, drugs were not included. Adio tried at best not to be involved with that kind of thing. The sister-seeker as he would currently proclaim himself to be, took no offense to Caden's teasing on how they would unite.

"Actually she will probably cry, then punch my arm. She will then point out the million and one things wrong with me and ask why I didn't find her quickly enough." Adio shook his head. "You could always meet her sometime." Scratching his shoulder, he looked towards the ground. "Sanura is the big basher. I'm the mellow one. That drives her nuts."

Adio scratched his chin as he came up with a suggestion. "I don't mind playing. I know drums will be hard to figure out. But maybe you should collect as many people as you can and just have a good time playing together."

Caden liked to think of himself as the type of man everyone wanted to know, but that was just his low self-confidence talking most of the time. He also preferred not to dabble in drugs or any mind-altering substance besides alcohol. He was in his twenties; drinking was mandatory! Crying, punching an arm and asking what was the delay sounded something like Caitlin would do, as much as she wanted to deny that she wasn't the crying type, so he smiled in understanding. "I have a sister who's like that. She likes to think of herself as the tough one."

He grinned as he heard Adio was mellow. "I'm lazy. Drives everyone else in my family mad." Caden winked (something which required a lot of practicing on his part). "Here's to making our sisters crazy, eh?" These posters were not going to hang themselves, so he gestured for Adio to follow him as he walked to the next wall of a shop. Nothing like fly-posting to brighten a day.

"Good idea. Having fun is more important and it's not as though we're going to make any money. Or be able to record any albums," he remarked. "So pass the word along to anyone you know who plays an instrument. I played the flute but it was ruined on the trip here so I have to find a new one. It's my favorite instrument by far. That and the harp. Very relaxing. Maybe the satyrs can lend me one of theirs. I technically know where all the notes are. If you ever need a walking encyclopedia, well... you just met one."

Caden glanced at Adio. "Ever been sprayed with a high powered hose? Some times the information's like that and I have to make sense of it afterwards. Bit hard to do, but I manage it."

Adio laughed suddenly. This guy was a riot. He followed him with his hands in his pockets shuffling the dirt lightly. His smile grew when Caden had said he played the flute. Adio never was familiar with someone who had truly played the flute.

"You actually play the flute, yeah? No joke or nothing?" He asked with serious curiosity. It was rather refreshing that a male picked up such an instrument. There usually was such a stigma about men playing the flutes. But he seemed rather comfortable playing instruments that females usually tended to. The south African knew there was a few important notes.

"Just remember the E, B flat, C, G and F and I think you got yourself a rockin' flute." Adio would be over the moon if he heard Caden play the flute, because of course he went into thinking back of to the old times. Back in the day you always heard flute solos. Not to mention in Jazz. Adio was the all around music kind of guy. Not to mention you could hear some good ol' flute in some Beatles songs. And his music mind always went there. But he was no Encyclopedia.

"Wow? Truly? Hmm Okay.." He began to think of a question, making sure he kept in pace with Caden. "What is the largest city in North Africa?" First thing that came to his mind. Why not?

If Adio had never met anyone who played the flute before, then Caden was happy to be the first. He'd only met a couple of flute players himself and he seemed to be an unusual sort. Not that was much of a surprise. "Man, I don't even know why anyone would joke about playing the flute," he said. "I like to push the envelope of sorts."

"Thanks!" Caden appreciated the advice, especially if he was going to make his flute fantastic. "Will do. Your words are now burnt into my brain like a branding iron to flesh. You don't want to ask about branding irons, by the way, because I'll be horribly specific." He made a face but chuckled afterwards.

He filtered the information that rushed over him suddenly and told Adio the answer before he spotted Adair farther down the road. Where had the time gone? "Hey, I have to split now, but I hope to see you again to jam some time, yeah? Until then, keep practicing and we'll catch up later." He shot Adio a grin before hurrying in the opposite direction towards his friend.
