Who: Dante and Adrienne
When: Night
Where: Adrienne's cottage
What: Dante claims his prize

Freedom tasted like a sweet nectar, a drink fit for the gods of old. Dante was no god, but he thought he was one. He felt powerful, and unstoppable, and now that he was free from the dungeons he was going to use that power for his own desires. He had slipped quietly from the silver lined cell at a time when the guards were switching shifts. They had only left one guard to watch him this time around - a human no less - and Dante took that as a sign from god. God wanted him to escape; wanted him to be free. If he hadn't then why would he have placed such an incompetent guard to watch him?

When Dante left the dungeon the guard was slumped in his chair apparently sleeping. No one would guess that his neck was broken until they came to check on him for the next shift change, and that wouldn't happen for another four hours. That was plenty of time for Dante to get what he wanted, and leave Elysium far behind him.

The lycanthrope was in Adrienne's cottage soon after his escape. He hid in the darkness in the same way as he did with Zach except that there would be no mistake this time. He was going to leave with his prize, and no one would even realize she was gone until it was too late.

The dinner party with Mitsuko and Logan was exactly what Adrienne needed to lighten her otherwise dreary mood. It was nice to spend time with her friends, regaining some semblance of normalcy. Adrienne realized that nothing in her life would ever truly be "normal", but at least she was still able to enjoy things like a quiet dinner with friends.

It was her good mood that made her blissfully ignorant to the foreboding air that lingered around her cottage. Apart from the fact that she hadn't seen or heard from Zach in a week Adrienne was happy. How could she not be happy when Dante was in jail, and there was no chance of him ever being released again? There was an odd sense of justice surrounding the entire situation considering he was the one that changed her in the first place. It was closure, but little did Adrienne know that that feeling would be fleeting.

She had just taken a step into her cottage when she realized she wasn't alone.

He moved swiftly in the darkness, and as soon as Adrienne came into view his hand moved to cover her mouth, and he maneuvered her body against the nearest wall. Dante glanced down at the girl, and a wicked smile formed on his mouth. This was his prize - his possession - and it was finally in his grasp. He didn't say anything at all as he leaned in close to her face, and buried his nose in the crook of her neck to take a breath. Dante breathed in, and sighed contentedly. This was his, and this was right.

"Mmmm, Adrienne," he whispered close to her ear. "Welcome home," he added as he twisted his fingers into her dark hair. He grasped at the strands, and ran his tongue over the smooth flesh of her neck.

Adrienne's realization came too late, and Dante had covered her mouth with his filthy hand before she could even scream. That didn't stop her from fighting, though. Adrienne struggled against Dante, but his grip was firm as he pushed her toward a wall. The girl slammed against it hard enough to rattle a picture from the wall. The glass shattered on the floor, and its pieces shimmered in the dim moonlight that filtered through the window.

The girl squirmed as he whispered in her ear, and licked her neck. Adrienne closed her eyes in disgust, and continued to push against him. Her legs were free despite her upper body being pinned to the wall, and she used that to her advantage. With as much strength as she could muster Adrienne rammed her knee straight into Dante's body. She didn't know if it was going to help her situation, but that didn't mean she couldn't try.

There was nothing more exciting than a girl who fought against him tooth and nail. Dante relished in the act, and the feel of her body against his as she tried to get away from him. It was a turn on, and his body reacted to it immediately. He smiled at the strength she used against him, and that was enough of a distraction to allow her knee to make contact with his gut. He was lucky that she had missed his groin completely. His current state of arousal would have made the attack much more effective.

And it was a strong attack against him, and it made him stumble away from Adrienne. He huffed out loud, and bent over to cradle the slight injury. "That was impressive," he said out loud. Adrienne had probably made a run for it already, but that didn't bother him. In fact he liked it when they ran. It made it all the better when he caught them.

Adrienne didn't hesitate to free herself from Dante's grasp when he stumbled away from her. Unfortunately she did not leave the house to put more distance in between herself and the sociopath. Instead Adrienne ran up the stairs to her room as quickly as possible. It might have seemed as if the girl wasn't in her right state of mind, but that was the farthest thing from the truth. Adrienne didn't just want to run away from her stalker; she wanted to get rid of him once and for all.

The girl locked the door to her room, and shoved a chair underneath the handle. It wouldn't stop Dante completely, but it would slow him down for a minute or two. Adrienne wasted no time in grabbing the box from her closet, and pulling out her mother's silver mirror. It was the only piece of silver in the house since her family (and Zach) got rid of anything else that could have harmed her. It was a good idea at first, but now she wished they had kept more pieces around for situations like this. Not that they even expected anything like this to happen, but hindsight was always twenty-twenty.

The mirror was wrapped in velvet, and she'd be safe as long as it didn't touch her skin. The girl didn't plan on holding it for very long anyway, not if she could jam it into Dante's body. It was her one chance to get rid of him once and for all, and failure was not an option.

The sociopath wondered why the girl hadn't escaped the cottage when she had the chance. He wasn't going to complain - it was to his advantage that she ran up the stairs instead of outside, and he followed her quickly.

The door to her room slammed shut just as Dante had reached the landing. He smiled as he heard the lock fall into place, and he imagined the handle had jiggled slightly because she had pushed something up against it. Adrienne was perfect in every way, but mostly because of her fighting spirit. What he loved most about her was the one thing he wanted to break in her. He wanted to make her submit to him, and for her to willingly become his. She could keep that strong will for everything else, but not against him.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are," he teased in a menacing voice. He dragged his nails against the wood of her door, and leaned his face against the flat panel. "I know you're in there, sweetheart. I can smell you." He knocked on the door, softly at first before he started to bang on it. Dante's fist was strong enough to crack the wood, and if she would not open the door then he would break it down.

Adrienne heard him walking down the hall. He made no attempts to sneak up on her quietly. There was no need to when it was obvious where she had hidden. Her door was the only one shut tight, and she guessed that he could probably smell where she had gone.

The girl gripped the mirror tightly in her hand, and stood firmly on the wall closest to the door. Most people put distance between themselves, and their pursuers, and Adrienne guessed that Dante would expect the same out of her. That expectation would give her a slight advantage. She knew she wouldn't be able to overpower him, and that meant having to outsmart him. Attacking Dante with silver was the only thing Adrienne could feasibly do in her situation, and she hoped it would work.

The door cracked underneath the pressure of Dante's fists, and Adrienne gripped the mirror firmly. The end of the handle was pointed enough that it could pierce flesh, and when he broke through the door she would aim for his body. It didn't matter where just as long as she made contact. And so Adrienne waited with bated breath. She was quiet despite the rapid beating of her heart. At any moment Dante would break through the door, and when he did she would be ready for him.

The psychopath was through the door within a matter of seconds. The wood gave way with each devastating fist Dante slammed against it. There was enough of a hole for him to slide his hand through to toss aside the chair that was wedged against the door. Dante was practically salivating, and his eyes were pulsating like an animal. He was nearing the end of his hunt, and he could taste it in his mouth. He kicked open the door, and looked around the room. He didn’t think to look on the wall closest to the door, however, and it was that mistake that brought forth an injury.

Adrienne had been waiting for him, and as soon as he had burst through the door, and his eyes were averted elsewhere the girl plunged the handle of the silver mirror into his arm. Blood spilled forth, and Dante howled as instinct took over. Silver had been driven into his muscle, and it burned like hellfire. He arm flung backward to attack once before he reached over with his other hand to pull the mirror from his flesh.

Fear was something that Adrienne didn't like to feel, and she definitely didn't like to admit it either. She prided herself in being a strong, and sensible woman, but this was a situation where that was anything but possible. She had a crazed werewolf chasing after her, breaking down doors to get to her, and the only thing she could do was either run away, or fight. Adrienne chose to fight even if it was futile in the end. She would hurt him somehow in the process of him taking her from her home.

The handle of the mirror broke flesh the moment Adrienne drove it into Dante's arm. He had kicked open her door, and just as she predicted he didn't look at the wall closest to him. It was her opportunity, a split second where she was able to stab the mirror's handle into her pursuer. And she did. She plunged that silver handle as far as she could into Dante's arm before he flung backward at her. His arm hit her, and the force was enough to knock her into the wall.

White flashed in her eyes for a moment, and Adrienne swore she saw stars in her field of vision. The girl swayed a bit as she tried to get away from Dante, but she knew deep down it was futile. There was no escaping her fate.

Adrienne was down for the count, and despite the blinding pain of the silver that she had stabbed into him he found himself smiling at the way she stumbled about. There she was, his prize, and she was finally in his grasp. Dante ignored the pain, and lunged forward to grab the girl. It wasn't a gentle movement; it was rough, and he meant for it to be painful. He jerked her toward his body, and held her until he could feel her breasts pressed against his chest.

"You're mine now, you little bitch," he said as he hit her once more in the stomach before he lifted her into his arms. He was triumphant, the winner in the end of it all. He should have taken her when he first knew she was in the haven, but he was too worried about the game. It was all about making her want to want him; wearing her down until she had no other choice. But the girl's will was stronger than he originally guessed, and this was the only other option. He would have to thank Hayate again for making the suggestion.

Dante flew out of Adrienne's balcony doors, and out into the night. He had his prize, the one he had been after for so long, and he wasn't going to let her go so easily.

Dante's disgusting scent filled her senses, and she turned her face away from him even as he pulled her close to his body. Adrienne squirmed against him, struggling to get away even though it did her no good. He was rough with her, and in the next instant he had punched her in the stomach to immobilize her. Adrienne slumped into the psychopath's arms, and she felt herself being lifted above the ground. Her mind reeled, and she could hear herself screaming for help in her head though she didn't have the strength to release that voice from her throat.

Though she wanted to fight against Dante she couldn't. Her arms and legs felt like lead, and gravity pulled them down with all its might. Dante lifted her as if she were weightless, and he took her away. Adrienne didn't know where the man was headed, but it didn't matter then. She lost consciousness, and she was at Dante's mercy.
