Who: Those injured in the confrontation with Danté, Medical Pavilion Staff, and anyone else who'd like to join in
When: Late morning
Where: Medical Pavilion
What: Treating the injured, and other various little scenes

The medical pavilion was usually busy with minor things, the sort of everyday injuries that one would expect to see in small cities. There were no gunshots wounds to worry about, or car accidents to pry people from. There were no rapes, or gang related incidents. The 'normal' injuries that could be found in a secluded haven like Elysium were things like cuts, and scrapes. Occasionally a broken bone would come through the place, or a baby would be born, and the staff could always count on the full moon to bring them lycan related injuries.

So when the victims from the altercation with a non-full moon crazed werewolf came in the night before the medical pavilion staff was excited to say the least. It wasn't the idea of having injured citizens that was exciting, but it was the chance to use their skills to the fullest that was. Granted everyone would rather have injury free people in the haven, but there were something that felt right about getting the chance to use the skills you had to help the people around you.

Needless to say Zane didn't sleep all night, and he was still going strong the next morning when it came time to check in on the patients. "I need someone to check in on Ms. Wilson in room three, Mr. Connolly in room five, and Mr. Ishikawa in room seven. Get their vitals, see if they're awake yet, and if there are any complications then come and get me. So, any volunteers?"

For once Adrienne wasn't the one in the hospital bed recovering from injury. This time it was Zach, and it had left Adrienne in a state of distress for the entire night. Despite the fact that entire situation with Danté was finally over Zach could not walk away from it without a few injuries. Thankfully none of them were life threatening, but the fact that he was hurt at all brought Adrienne to tears. She hid the tears from her friends, and family, and put on a brave face for everyone to see; but when she was alone she cried. Guilt tore at her very core, and she couldn't help take the blame for what Zach had to endure at the hands of a madman.

Adrienne's guilt made it hard to face Zach, but her want to see him, and hold him pushed her forward. It was the only thing that mattered to her, and when Doctor Smith told her that Zach was awake she held herself back from leaping into the room, and throwing her arms around her boyfriend. Her movements were slow, and careful, and when she finally saw him she felt a huge weight being lifted from her chest. Adrienne couldn't stop the smile that formed across her lips, or the tears that began to well up in her eyes.

"Hey you," she said softly. Her lower lip was quivering a little, and she pulled it between her teeth to stop herself from crying. Adrienne crossed the room, and stood at the side of the bed closest to the door. Her hand reached out to touch his in a timid manner, a silent invitation to hold hands if he wanted.

After everything that had happened the other day, the last thing Zach wanted to do was face the reality of it. Aftermath was not a pretty thing to deal with whenever people got hurt, horrifying truths were admitted, or something very important just seemed to get lost in the wash of new emotions. Zach was pulling into himself again like he had done in the past before he met Adrienne. Contacting with her had opened him up, but it looked like the most recent events involving her were shutting him down. He felt blank and empty much like a computer that just decided to randomly crash. His mind wasn’t rebooting. It was just a black emptiness. His jaw was tight, pressing roughly against the roof of his mouth.

He was glad to know Adrienne was alright, but it didn’t mean he wanted to see her right away. It wasn’t something Zach could explain. He just didn’t want to see her. He didn’t want to deal with what had just happened to him — with what had almost happened. Death nearly knocked on his door last night. He was so close to it. He only managed to get away because of a fluke of nature.

A fluke.

“Hey,” Zach mumbled in response, though he didn’t turn to look at her. He was looking in the exact opposite direction, staring at the wall. Adrienne reached out to touch his hand, but Zach pulled his away. He didn’t move his hand; he just retracted his fingers, but it was enough.

It was such a small action, the retraction of his fingers from her touch, but it spoke volumes. Almost immediately Adrienne's eyes brimmed with tears as she stared at his fingers curling away from hers. Her hand was motionless for a moment before she pulled it back toward her cheeks to wipe away the tears that had fallen. Zach wasn't even looking at her, his eyes trained on the wall in the opposite direction. It was like a knife piercing straight into her heart.

Everything in her mind was screaming that this was a bad idea, and though she knew she should have walked away then she couldn't. Adrienne swallowed her tears, and took a deep breath to temporarily compose herself. She needed to talk to him, and she wasn't going to give up so easily despite how much it hurt. Besides, Zach needed to talk about what happened. It was the only way he'd be able to move past the event, and on with his life. He couldn't keep his emotions bottled up forever.

The girl combed her fingers through her hair, and moved to the other side of the bed to intersect Zach's line of sight. "Zach," she said a little more firmly. "Don't do this. Don't shut down."

Zach closed his eyes in distress when Adrienne moved to walk into his line of vision. He barely even had time to see any tears on her face as a result of his actions — or more accurately, his inactions. He glanced up at the ceiling away from her. The passive-aggressive behavior from his end pervaded the air around them, making it rife with uncomfortable electricity. Couldn’t she just give him a day? Give him some time to relax without having to worry about anything? After the outcome of recent events, Zach had had enough of worrying. He just wanted some rest, and Adrienne was trying to make that difficult for him.

He didn’t answer her for a long moment, choosing to remain in silence once more. It was his business if he wanted to shut down. Adrienne didn’t have any say over him, and her influence at the moment was weaker than it had been in a long time. “I can shut down if I want to,” Zach said quietly. There was a challenge in his voice, daring Adrienne to refute his claim. It wasn’t her business, anyway.

Zach was angry and more importantly upset, and he was taking it all out on Adrienne simply because she happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time while he was in the wrong mood. It certainly wasn’t the best circumstances to have a fight under, but Zach wasn’t thinking clearly.

There was a tightness growing in Adrienne's chest as Zach continued his passive aggressive behavior. She bit down on her tongue (literally) to stop herself from snapping at him, and took another deep breath. Adrienne didn't see anything wrong with the fact that she wanted to talk to him. Zach had done the same thing with her when she was in the hospital. He was there after she had woken up asking her questions about how she felt, and wanting to know what happened. There were a lot of times when she didn't feel like talking at all, but she did for him. If he made the effort of being there for her because he loved her, the least she could do was answer his questions. This was the exact same situation only in reverse, and Adrienne thought that Zach could at least try to talk to her.

His answer stung for some reason, and Adrienne's brow furrowed in response. She moved to stand at the foot of his bed, fingers curling around the metal frame there. "Stop being a brat," she retorted playfully. Zach should have known better that if anyone would dare to refute him it was Adrienne. "You need to talk about happened. Shutting down just makes it worse." She didn't know what Zach was thinking, or that he thought this wasn't any of her business. As far as the lycanthrope was concerned this was her business because she was the root cause of all of it. She wanted to help him however she could, and it didn't occur to her that he needed time to process everything that had happened.

Zach didn’t want to make an effort to talk right now, and it wasn’t for the reasons Adrienne might have thought were possibilities. It was easy for him to open up when the target wasn’t him. He could ask her how she felt after something bad had happened and it was different for Zach. Becoming attuned to other people’s pain wasn’t as hard as he had once thought it would be. When you weren’t the one staring down a barrel, it was pretty much easy for you to do almost anything you put your mind to. Knowing how it felt after years of facing it himself also opened up Zach to the world of empathy — something he used to shut himself off from.

Yesterday, Zach was staring down the end of a barrel. The emotions were different. The reactions were different. Zach was a ticking time bomb as he always was when faced with a situation that beat him down to the floor. Whether it was his father or the kids at school or some cheap lowlife with an upper hand, Zach wasn’t the one in control. Not being in control caused him to breakdown. He didn’t know which way was up or which way was down.

He was revisiting all of those times over again in high definition replay, and it was causing him to fall apart at the seams.

“Shut up,” Zach said strongly beneath his breath, not quite loud but not quite a whisper either. It was loud enough for her to hear and get the message. He didn’t want to talk at the moment, and she really needed to give him the space. “And go away,” he finished, his eyes still refusing to meet hers.

As much as his recoiled fingers hurt just moments ago, his words seemed to cut a little deeper. Adrienne inhaled sharply when he told her to shut up, and her jaw clenched when he told her to go away. As much as Adrienne loved Zach she wasn't going to let him get away with talking to her like she was nobody. Her heart raced in her chest, the strong muscle pounding roughly within her body. The dark-haired girl could be just as stubborn as the boy lying in the hospital bed, and she spoke even if Zach didn't want to hear it.

"I don't have to shut up. I can say whatever I want when I want, and you're going to listen to me whether you like it or not. I know what happened to you was really fucked up, and I'm sorry for that because it was MY. FUCKING. FAULT. But you know what," Adrienne paused a little as her tears from earlier began to resurface. "You're alive, and I can't tell you how happy that makes me." Her tears streamed down her reddened cheeks, and there was a slight quiver in her voice. "But all you can do is lie there, and act like an ass to me. But you know what..." She lifted her palms in front of her in surrender. "You win. I'll go away." She backed away from the bed without taking her eyes away from him. "I'm sorry that my love for you is such an inconvenience. It won't happen again."

She turned on her heel, and practically ran from his room. It wasn't the reunion Adrienne had expected at all. In fact it was far worse than anything she could have ever imagined.

Adrienne couldn’t just let him have his space. She had to turn it into something involving her when all he wanted was some time to himself and little break to ease his mind. She was a girl and girls handled things differently. Most of the time, they wanted to talk about what had happened to them with someone they trusted and cared about. Guys didn’t always work the same way. They mostly needed time to themselves to sift through the wreckage and make sense of it all. Then, they either made sense of it or they didn’t and they finally talked about it. Zach thought Adrienne knew that about him, but it looked as if she didn’t get it even after all this time together.

He let her storm out, but not before yelling in her wake. “Why don’t you quit making a fucking martyr out of yourself!” Zach hollered as he sat up in bed, his voice turning scratchy and hoarse as it rose in volume. He brought his hand to his throat to rub at the soreness, grimacing at his attempt to get the last word in before she was completely out of earshot.

Zach fell back down to the bed and stared at the ceiling, already half-regretting his words but refusing to take them back. Why did he have to be so stubborn? Why did she? They wouldn’t be who they were without it, but it only made things that much more complicated in their relationship . . . if they still had one left after this morning.

Edelia walked quietly and almost innocently through the halls of the Medical Pavilion. The look on her face displayed concern, but in truth she was envious. She was in this fucking building seeing a girl that reminded her of a spoiled fucking brat with all the toys she could ever wish for. Adrienne had two men fighting for her affection, she had friends and she made friends as easily as plucking a blade of grass from the earth. Her skin was normal and she was attractive. It was easy to see. Sure, the Naga liked her. But she liked what she possessed as well.

She went towards Zach's room, thinking the two would be cuddling and talking about how they could never live without one another. Oh, how she would try not to let the jealousy easily show in her eyes. Perhaps she could dig her hands deep within the depths of her pockets to muster up nothing but relief and happiness.

But actually they were fighting. She laid her back against the wall and listened as the fight escalated. Edelia's dark colored hair covered her smile when it seemed like their was trouble in their sickening little paradise.

"I'm sorry that my love for you is such an inconvenience. It won't happen again."

The Naga almost gave a wicked chuckle before she turned and walked away.

"You're right, dear Adrienne. It won't happen again." Edelia said out loud while inspecting her nails. "It's time I take away your most precious toy."

Katy felt restless.

She believed that she was healed enough to be allowed to walk around at least, but they didn't want her to do even that. She laid back on the bed and stared up at the beige ceiling. Such a boring color. She looked down and pulled her shirt up far enough to see the bandages covering her ribs. She grimaced and let her shirt fall back down and crossed her arms. She was certainly annoyed.

She reached over and poked absently at the food that was placed on the little rolling table that was made to lean over the bed so so could eat it. She didn't feel much like eating though. She was bored.

"I'm bored." She kicked off her blankets and pouted.

"Well, so was I until you finally showed me some skin. I've been waiting for you to do that for hours. It sucks you know when you get stuck with a female who's asleep. That non consensual." What a way to break the ice. "It's my way of saying. Hi. My name is Giles Audley. I've been the doctor stuck with checking up on you. Though I can't complain since with the peep show I just got, I hit the jackpot after this little shit storm."

He pulled up a chair near her and took a bite out of the applesauce that was part of the whole meal deal. "Disgusting." He then spit it back into the little plastic cup. "Sooo. How have you been feeling Ms." he looked at her chart. "Wilson?" He batted his eyes prettily. "Need me to redress the bandages? I've been told my hands are as soft as a woman's bosom. Or is a baby's bottom? Whatever."

She turned at the sound of someone's voice and looked at the man who had entered her room. She hadn't been aware of his presence. She was certainly surprised to hear him speak the way he did and also claim to be a doctor. She leaned up and raised an eyebrow at him. Was that really how he talked to patients? This might be interesting after all.

"Dr. Audley is it?" So he had seen her looking at her bandages. She could feel the heat rise in her cheeks as she blushed at that thought. She clutched the hem of her shirt and held it at her sides. "Excuse me. I was only trying to look at the bandage. If I had realized you were standing there, there wouldn't have been any 'peep show'."

She moved so that her back was against the headboard and watched him take a bite of her applesauce. She hadn't wanted it anyway. Her body craved meat, especially when she was in a vulnerable state. She wondered if her untransformed body was entirely human anymore. She healed faster and her metabolism was faster than it had been when she was a teenager, which she had understood was supposed to slow down as she aged not the opposite.

She reached over and pushed the plastic cup toward him. "I don't think that was very sanitary. Are you sure you're a doctor?"

"I feel fine, and I want out of this damn bed." She crossed her arms over her chest and eyed him. "My name is Katy. And I don't think my bandages need to be redressed, but you're the doctor, aren't you? Why don't you tell me? Or did you not get a good enough look before?"

"With a body like that, you could provide the entertainment we really need at the Wine Bar. You keep that body, I'll find yourself a pole. Of course, with the injuries you sustained credited to being a moron, it looks like you won't be doing what I hope you will do at least for a few days."

He like this patient's wit and thank god she was sassy. If dealing with Midori, he was going to be disappointed easily by females who didn't fight back with his tendency to be a complete asshole. "Of course I am. I'm just not the one who holds your hand and cries with you. I'm here to say that you're lucky you heal faster than a human and that haven's werewolf from hell didn't turn you into a pile of guts. You either have an adrenaline rush issue or you're a complete idiot."

Giles slid away from her with a raised brow. "Wah wah. And I want a sex line put in this haven. But we all can't get what we want now can we?" He made a head motion, telling her to get up. "Get off your ass and try to move a few inches. If I even see you wince or stumble. That bed is becoming your best friend for at least another day. It's good to walk around, sure. But walking out of here and home in an unfit condition is just dumb."

He gave a once over at where her bandages are. "If they feel wet and itchy, I would say yes. Otherwise, I was suggesting I redress the bandages so I could see your breasts. It seems like you might have some killer nipples too."

She raised an eyebrow at him. "Did you just suggest that I, a person with two broken ribs, should go and pole dance at the wine bar, a place where plenty of drunk people frequent? What is wrong with you? Do you want to see me in here again so soon? You are a horrible doctor."

She waved her hand at him dismissively. "Please. If I hadn't of interfered he would have run down poor Mr. Connoly and done more than just punch him in the face. As it was, I was the only person there with a fighting chance. Although that kid he had a hold of seemed to be able to take a punch surprisingly well." She shook her head. "He must have had a stomach of steel."

"Speaking of which, how are those two, Mr. Connoly and that kid? Are they alright?" She looked back at the doctor with concern for the two other victims of Dante's rampage.

"A sex line? What does that have to do with anything?" She narrowed her eyes at the way he talked down to her. "Are you this charming with all your patients, or am I just special?" She sat up again and gingerly moved her legs over the edge of the bed. She placed on arm on the head board to help herself stand up slowly. She winced a little as a needle of pain shot through her from her side, but her back was toward the annoying doctor and she didn't want to give him the satisfaction that she might still be hurt enough to warrant bed rest.

She did however place her hand over the offending ribs as she turned and started to walk around the bed. She stood in front of the doctor and looked down at him. "And just how the hell would you know if I have 'killer nipples' or not? Do you have your own private imaginary wet t-shirt contest going on in that perverted little brain of yours?"

"Excuse me, he's in room five correct? Okay, thanks." Cameron gave a slight wave of the hand before he walked at a fairly fast pace towards Sascha Connolly's room. The lights were rather dim in his room and he wasn't sure if that was intended. He sustained a pretty bad hit to the face which could ultimately lead to a head injury and sometimes light caused further feeling of either nausea or general pain in the eyes, face and head. So therefore, Cameron left the lights how they were and sat not to far away from the gentleman. "Mr.Connolly, I've been assigned to take care of you. How are you feeling?"

He took a glance at the food set not to far away from the man he hadn't met until now and even he lost his appetite. "If you're actually hungry at the very least I can get you something that doesn't look like dog food." There was a long period of silence before Cameron spoke again.

"My name is Doctor Riggs. You can call me Cameron for short."

Burnout. That's what was really wrong with Sascha, he was totally and completely burned out- mentally, anyway. And the punch hadn't exactly helped, not that he remembered it happening.

When he'd first regained consciousness, he was laid up in an uncomfortable hospital bed in a darkened hospital room; the first person he'd spoken to was, presumably, a nurse, and she'd told him that he'd been admitted with a minor head trauma. He'd been too dazed at the time to question her over what the tinny ringing sound in his ears might have been, but he was too tired to really care about much aside from easing the lingering pain in his head.

He'd slept easily enough, and he'd only been awake for a few moments when the door to his room opened and a man with an unfamiliar face stepped inside. Well, scratch that...maybe not altogether unfamiliar. Something about the slope of his jaw or the line of his nose reminded Sascha an awful lot of his own features, and he was taken slightly aback at the resemblance. He was certainly an attractive man, and the thought was enough to bring a small smile to Sascha's lips. Narcissistic much?

The man had started to speak to him, and Sascha had enough presence of mind to stop ogling the handsome stranger and answer his question. "Better, I think. It's hard to say since I don't remember much of what happened, but..." He shrugged and brushed a few bangs away from his face, hissing as his fingers passed over the bruised flesh around his eye.

"Good to meet you, Cameron," he said with a wince as he pressed his fingers to his temple. "I only wish it could have been under better circumstances. Please, call me Sascha." He paused to glance at the tray of food beside the bed. "...and now that you mention it, some take-out might be nice."

It took a moment for Cameron to notice the resemblance and when he did, he grinned a little. Everyone had a twin he guessed though he felt old since he could tell Sascha was a few years younger. Not to mention Cameron could own up to Sascha being more attractive. Even with the whole beat up eye thing going on. "Funnily enough, I was there for some of it. You were already unconscious I believe. Unfortunately, after you had tried your best to help the captive in the Market Place, Dante migrated towards the Temple and continued his rampage. Finally though, he was captured and taken to the dungeon and is there now. I wouldn't be surprised if you were questioned concerning what happened. It makes the most sense to me."

Before he forgot. Cameron touched his own forehead like he was an idiot for forgetting Sascha's dogs. "You have two dogs correct? They're being taken care of and when you are released, I'm sure they will be more than delighted to see you."He was more of a cat person, but his dogs seemed wonderful.

"Well, Sascha, it's great to meet you." It was good that he didn't have to be so formal. He then chuckled concerning the food. "You know, the elven guards are as fast as all hell. You never know. I could always send them on a food run." He joked.

Reaching into his back pocket, he grabbed a small flashlight. "Okay, quite bluntly this isn't going to be pleasant. But I need to make sure your sight hasn't been damaged. This is also a good way to test for light sensitivity. The light's not too bright. Just follow the light with your eye Sascha." He flashed the light in the librarians face and slowly moved the light.

"Oh the plus side. If your eye sight is damaged temporarily. I could see you rocking a killer patch." Always good to have a sense of humor no matter the situation.

Sascha could feel the other man's thoughts whiz shallowly through his own mind with an unconscious sort of effort, but he paid them little attention. Any other day he'd have called the doppleganger-like doctor on his mental compliment- and he still might, the day wasn't over yet- but for now he was concentrating so hard on the conversation that the words barely registered.

He blinked dumbly as Cameron spoke about the previous day's events, massaging his temple a little more firmly. Wait, captive? Dante? And what was that about a rampage? Why couldn't he remember any of this? It sounded as though he'd been smack dab in the middle of it!

"...in your professional opinion, Cameron...is it a bad sign that I can't recall any of that?" What did he remember, anyway? Okay, there was the summons from the Head Council, and the visit to Town Hall- ah, that's right, they'd offered him the Vice Council spot! And then...and then what? Sascha sighed and shook his head in frustration. "First goddamn day on the job and I get laid up in the hospital over something I don't even remember happening. Is that- I mean, this is just temporary, right? Once this all passes, I'll get my memory back?"

It hadn't even occurred to him to worry about Sweeney and Brasco up until the moment his companion mentioned them, and a tiny wave of guilt passed over him. "Thank you...I'd forgotten they were even with me. How long have I been here, again?" It was difficult to tell how much time had passed when most of his hours had been spent asleep in a dark room. He didn't even realize he was hungry until his stomach let out a sudden and rather intimidating grrrrrowwwrrrr ; he looked up at Cameron for a moment, eyebrows arched in surprise, before laughing at himself and the doctor's remark.

Cameron was right, of course- having the light shone in his eyes wasn't exactly a pleasant experience, but Sascha did what he could to follow the floating beacon. "Well, I guess a patch is always an option. Never been known for my great fashion sense, anyway." He blinked again as the doctor removed the flashlight, the afterimage of a bluish-green dot clouding his vision wherever he looked. It was a convenient enough excuse for him to give the other man one more once-over, and his gaze lingered perhaps a moment too long on the collar of his shirt.

Strange that he'd only just picked up on the familiar energy surrounding Cameron, even though the ability to do so seemed to come more naturally for him every day. The thought left his lips almost before it could register in his brain. "You're a werewolf yourself, aren't you?"

OOC: Sorry this took so long! Computer fail!

Sinclair had heard about what had happened in the Market Place. Was it morbid that he wished he was there to see the event? Probably so but he didn't care. He figured the next best thing he could do was see the injured. Maybe he could ask the unfortunate what it was like to have to encounter a crazed lycanthrope throughout the day. No comfort after the questions, he just wanted to know.

The dhamphir walked through the medical pavilion with a slow and careless pace. He whistled slightly while a cigarette dangling from his lips. The ashes were sprinkling to the floor and caused a trail right after his heels.

Opening a door to see if a patient was inside, he stared dumbly at a doctor. "....Just looking for the bathroom." He lied.

OOC: not a problem, hon!

With the patients from the attack being looked after by volunteers Zane could tend to other patients who had just come in for various aches and pains. It wasn't as "exciting" injury wise, but Zane was a firm believer that every patient deserved his full attention. A lot of time the people who came in to the medical pavilion just wanted to know that somebody cared about them.

Zane was just finishing up with a young child that had come in with a cold when the door to the room opened. The first thing that the doctor noticed was the cigarette hanging from the lip of the person who was apparently looking for the bathroom. Zane used his psychokinesis to pull the cigarette from the stranger's lips, and then threw it toward the sink in the room.

"There's no smoking here," he said with a grin. There were no hard feelings on Zane's part, and he hoped the man didn't take it that way. Zane exited the patient's room to fully face the visitor. "The bathrooms are down the hall, and to the right," he instructed. "Unless you're here to see anyone in particular... or are you sick? Or maybe you're looking for some help to quit smoking." Zane chuckled here, and held the clipboard loosely at his side.

First things first. His cigarette. Sinclair tried to reach into the air to grab the half spent cancer stick but decided he was in a losing battle and gave up. It then occurred to him that the doctor just did something incredibly cool. "How..How did you do that?" Focusing on the kid, he pointed to him. "Smoking isn't good for you. It is for me, but from the looks of it, it won't favor you." Right, back to the doctor. "I've met a woman who set my lighter on fire and now a doctor who levitates cigarettes? Pretty neat."

The dhamphir put a hand up stating that he understood the no smoking policy. It made perfect sense, his carelessness towards others just made him think that he was allowed to light up anyway. "Oh, I'm just here to see the aftermath of what happened. You know, crazy monster in the market? I always miss the good stuff. What the hel-eck is up with that." Right, there was a child in the room.

He laughed at the thought of him not smoking. "Me? Not smoke? Yeah right. I'd be worse than that guy almost slaughtering people in the Market if I couldn't have nicotine." He forgot about the kid when it came to that part.

Every time Zane used his powers there was someone around who was amazed by it. People's reactions never failed to amuse the doctor, and there were times when he even went the extra mile to show off a little bit more. He gave the stranger a half smile, and then turned to the kid. "That's right, smoking is bad for you. And him," Zane said as he cocked his head toward the man. "So no smoking, got it?" The little kid nodded, and Zane couldn't help but smile. He levitated a lollipop from his pocket over to the little boy, and then escorted the man from the room.

"It's called psychokinesis," he said. "How I did that," he clarified. "And I'll do it again if I see you smoking in the building." Zane was very serious when it came to the rules in the hospital, and he would enforce them to the fullest. No one would be given any leeway when it came to smoking, or doing anything else against the rules.

Zane didn't expect the answer the guy had given him, and he crossed his arms over his chest. His brow furrowed deeply, and he pressed a fist to his chin. "Wait wait, lemme get this straight. You came to see the aftermath of that psychopath running through the market place?" For once Zane was left at a loss for words since he couldn't believe anyone would want to come over just for that, but apparently this guy did.

"I'm Dr. Smith," Zane said with an extended hand. He finally thought of some way to deal with the man, but he wouldn't do it without a proper introduction. "Look, I'll make you a deal. You can see the aftermath if you want, but only if you're a volunteer here. This isn't some kind of zoo where people can come and go just to see cool stuff. Got it?"
