Monday: January 28, 2008
Who: Adio and Nikita
When: Late Afternoon
Where: The Restaurant
What: Nikita just has to ruin things doesn't she?

Though it was a rainy day, Adio felt pretty good. At first the past few days weren't all that well when he found his sister in the Medical Pavilion, but things began to get better. He made sure that he and his older sister took turns in making sure Sanura was progressing and she seemed to totally evade the entire situation when asked about what happened. Sanura slept a lot and didn't even give off a description of her attacker. She didn't even say she was attacked though Adio found it obvious. Adio didn't think that it was a good idea for Sanura to just try and forget it all. But he knew that currently he didn't want to force his sister to talk about what happened.

Besides being worried sick about his sister, Adio was smiling somewhat like an idiot. He felt like a kid in elementary school when thinking about seeing someone that he was growing increasingly fond of. Freya was unique and he really liked her. Though he knew he was super awkward and maybe hard to get through at times, the two had a lot of fun together. He visited her often at the Ceramics Shop and often times she would peak in at the Medical Pavilion to see how he was doing. He liked how it was slow moving, casual and it was also like a friendship.

Okay, but he did love the kiss on the rooftop. Sometimes, the whole old fashion scenarios you picture in your head and or movies still exist.

It was Jamile's turn to watch Sanura and Adio made way to the restaurant to get something to eat. The Therianthrope found himself not eating as much on the downside of things due to his worries about his sister.

He ordered from a male who was quite friendly but didn't expect to be greeted soon after by someone far less friendly.

Nikita hadn't been having the best of days. She wasn't sleeping that well, she had been suffering the coming and goings of headaches and worst of all there was a giant flood of assholes coming into the Restaurant. People got to eat here with food that was close to as good restaurants from back home. So why didn't they just shut the fuck up and eat? She had given a few people some not so nice commentary and she knew she really couldn't be "fired" because she was one damn good cook. The Therianthrope could give people some pretty decadent stuff.

The waiter who was tending to various people took a smoking break and sadly they were "short staffed". Nikita called for someone else to hand over the food to the newest arrival but got no answer. "So fucking worthless." She mumbled. She had her own food she wanted to eat and now she had to take the time to tend to someone else.

When Nikita walked on over to the man he seemed to almost be glowing about something. Nikita dropped his food in front of him along with a water that slightly spilled. "Here you go sunshine."

She sat with him and inspected him while she began to eat her own food.

When the woman dropped the water in front of Adio some of it almost dumped into his lapped so he backed away slightly. He gave her somewhat of a “what the fuck” look before he looked down at his food. Given her behavior, he was wondering if it was even a good idea to take a bite. “Thank you.” He said in a not so happy tone while he used a cloth to wipe up the mess the stranger made. He almost said “right back at ya” as to her mood, but he just kept to himself. He wasn’t going to let some grumpy employee ruin his day.

Then she sat with him and he wasn't entirely sure he was comfortable with that. He just looked at his food and felt a sense of not being hungry so he tended to his water instead. Feeling more comfortable staying silent then making conversation, Adio looked in the direction of a window and watched the rain that continued to fall.

"Oh, don't look so moody. It's not flattering to your features. What would your lady friend say?" Nikita said with a smug smile before she tugged at a piece of bread and consumed a small piece. "I've seen you here a few times with her. You hardly seem the type to be in this sort of mood. I'm sorry if I've rained on your parade." Part of her was beign sarcastic and the other part of her was being sincere.

"I just have a question though." Nikita leaned in like she was trying to discover a secret. "How come you seem happy one moment while taking to her, then you suddenly change your features? Is she some sort of scary chick secretly? I've seen her at the ceramics shop and she seems harmless. She helps people with a giant smile on her face." She took a sip of her drink and raised her brows with a coy smile.

"You'll probably tell me all kinds of shitty things about me being nosey. But if I notice that something seems wrong in your relationship, won't other people notice?"

Adio gave Nikita somewhat of a shocked look. "Excuse me?" He suddenly didn't feel hungry at all. "You know stalking is more than a little creepy." He stated with a bit of a frown mingled with an uncomfortable glance. "You're right though. You killed my mood and I wonder if you seem to make a habit of it generally."

The Therianthrope was afraid to answer her question and almost wanted to ignore her, but he forced himself to listen. The minute her question came out, he felt this odd fluttering in his gut. "Well, maybe we were talking about personal situations and the rumors. That's not the best thing to discuss." He was lying, but he tried to keep a straight face. Why did it matter to this stranger?

There were no words to express how offended he was when the stranger speculated that Freya was some sort of frightening person. "I don't know what your name is, but you have the wrong idea about Freya. She's a wonderful person. You read things as wrong as you cook these eggs."

Adio frowned when she said she could detect there was something wrong in their relationship. "Th-There is nothing wrong in our relationship. In fact we're like best friends over anything else. I have no idea why I am telling you this. I guess it's to let you know that your speculations are shit. Not to mention I don't care what other people think. They should mind their own business." Never had Adio seemed so offensive. But this stranger was bothering the hell out of him.

"I actually do enjoy making it a habit, but it's not like I get off on it. It's not like an every day thing for me." She could tell he was getting pissed and she couldn't tell if she was amused by it, or she felt a little bad about it. Sometimes she was like a deck of cards. Maybe she was the nice little queen, or maybe she was the assholish joker. "I'm not stalking you, by the way. When you work at the Restaurant for several hours, you begin to notice things. It's like working at the Wine Bar. When you serve people their drinks, you can detect their behavior and sense that they are in a different place than they were perhaps the other day." She pointed out.

She knew the answer to her question was utter bullshit, but she just smiled. "The rumors usually excite people and get people to talk more. I can understand the personal issues, but you near all of a sudden start to not talk to each other. Your food seems to interest you more than each other. How can you smile one second, then near seem uncomfortable the next? I just don't get it." She gave a slight hand gesture. "I'm just trying to help."

She tapped her fingers on the table before introducing herself. "My name is Nikita and of course I'd love to hear your name. Can we get more personal now? Oh, I hope so and I'm sorry about the eggs. We have a few dogs about the town. I'm sure they'd love to snack on whatever you don't eat."

Back to his chick. "I'm sure she is a wonderful person. But your chemistry? Horrible. Stick to the friends deal. I think that's best. I mean do you really want your relationship to seem like constant PMS? I'm just saying. You two entertain me when you're here. Whatever she says or does while you wine and dine here really fucks up your conversations."

Adio felt an overwhelming sense of discomfort. It was true. Their relationship got quite odd and complicated at times. She didn't mean to, but at times she read his mind when he really didn't want her to know what he was thinking. Sometimes it was better off not knowing what someone was thinking when they first saw you walk into a room. Being told you look beautiful was far better than hearing it in your head. Sure, maybe Freya believed that he wouldn't have the nerve to say it out loud, but even so. It bothered him that she violated his mind like that at times. Oh god, was he really taking what this stranger was saying into consideration?

The therianthrope could never tell Freya what he thought. So he would just not see her for a while. Try and think of excuses. But maybe eventually he could tell her that it frightened him when she knew things he didn't want her to know. But the last thing he wanted was for the telepath to feel like a bad person because she wasn't. Adio liked her since the first day he met her. Even if they were just best friends, he'd be delighted.

"My name is Adio..and you're a gigantic bitch. But thank you very much for the advice." He scooted his chair out from the table and left the restaurant. Great, now he had a whole lot running through his mind. A telepaths wet dream.
