Thursday: January 24, 2008
Who: Theora, Daiyu, and Jia
When: Late Morning
Where: Theora's Office, Town Hall
What: Theora requests Daiyu and Jia's help with something very important

It had been over two months since Kaiya and Faye had been killed, and still they weren't any closer to solving the mystery. It was frustrating, but that didn't mean that they gave up. Theora especially kept vigilant with the tasks given to her. She worked alongside the staff at the Medical Pavilion to find a way of identifying the strands of hair collected from evidence at the scene. It wasn't easy trying to find magical ways of DNA identification, but in the end (almost a week ago now) they were able to create a successful method. Of course, they still had to collect comparative hair samples in order for the test to work in the first place.

The priestess sighed as her mind raced with all of those thoughts. She pinched the bridge of her nose while she sat at her desk. Even the priestess, who had lived for almost eight-hundred years and had experienced almost everything imaginable, found it hard to believe that their haven, their Elysium, had a murderer amongst its citizens. Even after all the turmoil caused from the virus, and the war, there were some who still had the urge to hurt and kill. It saddened the priestess, but it also made her more determined to find the culprit once and for all.

It was the reason she had summoned Daiyu and Jia Wei to her office that morning. She had discovered that they were psychometrics, praeternaturals with the ability to see an object's past, and experiences. It was the perfect way to discover who had killed the two innocent fae with the only piece of evidence they had managed to collect from the scene: a thin, gold necklace. A trinket to some, but within its woven strands held the secret to the killer's identity. Why they hadn't thought of this sooner was beyond Theora, but at least they had thought of it now, and perhaps it was still not too late to prevent the madman from striking again.

"Daiyu!" Jia dragged her sister close to her. "I swear to god if you finally got caught for flashing your boobs to an Elven guard, I'm not covering for you. You deserve to spend time in jail for doing such a thing." God her sister had like some sort of addiction to public indecency. Just three hours ago she flashed a guard and let him know where she lived. Jia was intimidated, but Daiyu figured she would apologize and say she would keep her twin beauties in her bra.

When she decided to wear one.

When they arrived at the Town Hall, they took a moment to gander at the facility. They always went to the place for announcements, but Daiyu especially tended to dose off. Jia was more of the daydreamer. They followed the direct orders to Theora's office and knocked before they entered.

Dear God, the woman was beautiful and Jia gave a slight bow since she knew she was a priestess and Daiyu, unsure if she was in deep shit bowed slightly too.

"Listen..uhm." She began. "I swear, I was just fooling around with the Elven guards. I promise. No more titty shows."

Theora smiled at the girls as they entered her office. Though they were twins Theora could sense that they were very different from one another. Their energies were almost polar opposites except at that moment she could tell that they were both very nervous. She invited the girls to sit with a gesture of her hand, laughing a bit when one of the girls began confessing to something that she clearly thought she was in trouble for.

"Please, do not worry about your," she paused a bit. "Titty shows. I'm sure the guards enjoyed them." Clearly, Theora had no idea what Daiyu was referring to, but she did have other, more important things to talk about with the psychometrics. "I have called you both here today for another matter entirely." Theora pulled a manila envelope that was sitting on her left. She opened it up to glance at the hidden information before she placed it down upon the wood.

Her fingers interlaced on the desk, and she leaned forward. "We need your help with something very important, something that only psychometrics can do. Are you both willing to assist us in this matter?"

Daiyu gave a bright grin along with a sigh of relief. "Phew. First of all, I knew my tits weren't that of repulsive, I won't do it again and thank you for being so kind about it." Daiyu had to contain laughter because of the way the woman said it. Jia was even hiding a smile by looking at her surroundings. For once they were on the same page about something.

Both sisters looked at each other and nodded eagerly. "Yes." They answered in unison, but Jia was the one who decided to continue. Given the fact that her sister just flashed her top half at elves and tended to mouth off, she would at first take the wheel. "Anything you need, we would be more than glad to assist you with."

They both felt a feeling of butterflies in their stomachs. What was going on? Could they live up to the expectation?

Theora smiled at Daiyu, amused at the girl's reaction. She did not think she was being kind about anything, only truthful. It seemed a little silly to the priestess for anyone to get into trouble just because they enjoyed to occasionally remove their clothing. Elves did not always wear clothing, and there was nothing wrong with that in her society. She did not say that out loud, but she did not think it was relevant in this case.

She was pleased when the sisters agreed to helping. Theora had to admit that she was a bit afraid that the girls would decline her offer. She would not have made anyone use their powers unless they were completely willing to do so. But that was not the case with the twins, and they both agreed quickly. Without saying another word Theora pulled a wooden box from her desk, and slid it across her table. She lifted the lid for the girls to look inside where there lay a single golden necklace.

"If you would please tell me what you see when you pick up this necklace. Whatever information you give us would be appreciated." Theora did not want to tell the girls the details about the necklace just yet for fear that it would affect what they saw. She waited for one of them to pick up the necklace, anxiously awaiting their responses.

"You go first." Jia instructed her sister while she looked over to her and then back to the golden box. Daiyu furrowed her brow and returned somewhat of a glare to Jia. "This is important, Jia. We do this together." For once, Daiyu wanted to do nothing more than be helpful. She knew their abilities combined could provide promise of seeing something of great use. It might not have been crystal clear. But with them working together, what they could see would be much better.

The two lifted up the necklace in unison and from the moment they touched it, it was like touching something throbbing with fire. Jia actually almost dropped the necklace but Daiyu made sure to steady her shaking hands. "This bad boy has a lot to tell." Daiyu stated, trying to break the tense moment before she got herself to concentrate all of her energy on the necklace. Her sister was easily doing the same.

They saw an altercation in a household. Two beautiful Faes, one tender looking with brunette hair. If Jia could recall her name was Kaiya. She seemed eager to please a young looking man who was anything but kind. He was blond haired, Asian an though Daiyu at least sensed he could seem non violent naturally, he seemed pretty damn furious.

From the looks of it, the other fae, Faye as Jia recalled her, was blonde haired and much more outspoken. She wasn't afraid to attack the man and she indeed did get him. Jia saw a cut on his face. For this, he harmed her and there was promise for further harm to be done to her. Between the altercations the twins could hear ear bursting screams and they could see various short glimpses of bloodshed.

Though there was a bigger man seen in their vision who was tall, muscular, brown haired and indeed very intimidating looking. It was the blonde man that alarmed them the most.

Eventually, the two opened their eyes and set the necklace down almost like a hot potato. "I kept seeing the same face over and over." Jia began. She was talking like she was in some sort of trance. "This necklace belongs to him. It must. I saw him hurt Faye. Hurt Kaiya. I saw bloodshed relate to him."

Daiyu knew Jia wasn't as used to seeing such images, so she took the wheel. "I'm not sure if this is a good enough description. But this necklace has a lot of reference to a man who's got what appears to have bleached blonde hair, seems fairly short and is Asian. He strikes me as a guy who knows how to fit in so I don't know if that helps. But I can tell you that he's dangerous."

Theora watched the two girls with rapt attention. It was indeed a tense moment, but Theora made sure to keep her cool. She had hundreds of years of experience staying calm in heated situations; besides, the girls needed her relaxing aura to counter the graphic scenes they were seeing in their minds. The priestess leaned forward against the table, and waited patiently for one of the girls to speak.

Their eyes finally opened, and the necklace practically dropped from their hands. It was Jia who spoke first, and she mentioned Kaiya and Faye's names. Theora knew that the necklace belonged to whomever saw the two fae last; now all she needed from the two psychometrics was maybe a name, or a description. Daiyu took the reins after, and went on to describe the perpetrator. Theora listened carefully, and nodded her head to the guard in the room once the girl was done speaking.

The guard left the room, and returned a few minutes later with an elf that held a notebook, and a set of pencils. "This is Caloeys," Theora said. "She is going to draw your description for us, that is if you don't mind describing him once more. Please." It was important to have at least a photo of the man since they did not want to put the wrong man behind bars.

Jia and Daiyu both nodded . Though Daiyu could draw, she wasn’t sure she could draw a man that she saw as a murderous asshole. She might end up drawing someone with bloodstains all over them and make him look more like a monster from the outside appearance since she put a lot of emotion into her artwork.

“Okay. So he is short. Think like no more than 5’6. Or even 5'4. He is blonde and Asian. I don’t think there are many blonde Asians around here.” Jia suddenly chimed in. “OH!” She cleared her throat shortly thereafter. “He looks kind of feminine and young. If I didn’t know better, I would think he was younger than me, or my age. “

Daiyu gave her sister an impressed look before she turned back to both Theora and Caloeys. It was good that they had a bit of extra detail.

As Daiyu and Jia described the man in their vision Caloeys continued to draw in her notebook. Her hand moved rapidly along the paper, and her eyes stayed focused on the image that was forming on the page. Every so often Caloeys would ask a question, something that would give a little more detail. The length of the man's hair, the color of his eyes, even the type of teeth he had.

There was silence for a few moments, and then the Elven artist put down her pencil. She pulled the page from the notebook, and handed it to Theora. The priestess glanced at the image staring back at her. He was familiar, and Theora knew she had seen him around the haven before. She looked up at the two girls, and then slid the paper across the table for them.

The drawing revealed a man with blonde hair. "Is this the man in your vision," she asked. They were finally one step closer to finding the man responsible for the death of the two fae. Despite Daiyu and Jia's visions Theora was not ready to believe that the necklace belonged to the killer. He might have had a connection with the girls, but accusing someone of murder was something that took more evidence than usual. For all Theora knew the man could have been a witness, and had lost his necklace at the scene.

Still, it was a lead, and it was more than they had thirty minutes ago.

Jia's face displayed horror when she saw the picture and she knelt down to look at it. It was almost as if she didn't believe her eyes or her abilities. "You're a hell of a drawer." She told Caloeys. "That's the man in our vision. I'm positive. It's so spot on I have chills." Jia just had to touch it once to make sure it was real and after she did so, she felt satisfied. "That's him." She repeated.

Taking the reigns, Daiyu, shocked but less so than her sister spoke softly. "I agree with my sister. That's the man that we saw in our vision." Besides that she wish they could be of more help. "Is there anything else I can do?" She turned to her sister. "We can do. You have our word that we won't tell anyone about this. I understand that this situation is a very serious one and it isn't one to just talk about to anyone."

She tucked her hands into her pockets. "But if there is anything else we can do, please do not hesitate to ask."

Theora simply smiled at the two girls. They had helped much more than they realized, and Theora was not sure if there was any way she could properly thank them. Caloeys, too, smiled at the two girls before she left the room. Theora retrieved the drawing from the table, and glanced at it for a short while before she returned her gaze to Daiyu and Jia.

"We shall have to keep our eyes open for this man," Theora said softly. "You girls have been a tremendous help to the Council. I only wish I could give you more than just our gratitude," she said. "Your discretion is highly appreciated. Though I must ask you to not engage this man if you do happen to see him before we are able to bring him in for questioning." The priestess rose to her feet, and bowed her head respectfully toward the two girls. There was nothing else for them to do now except find the man in the drawing. He was indeed unique looking, and Theora did not think it would be a difficult task.

"I will contact you immediately if we need anything else. Thank you both again for all your assistance. May Elune bless you for all your days." Theora said a little prayer under her breath, and cast a small blessing on the girls. It would stay with them for the remainder of the day, granting them a sense of peace, and serenity. It was the least Theora could do for all of their help.

Did this woman read minds? Because Daiyu was thinking about whooping the vampire's ass if she saw him. She tried to contain it, but she would have loved to give him a garlic surprise. But Theora was right in telling them to be reasonable and though Daiyu hated it, she would obey it. "I got'cha. I promise. My sister and I will not say a peep." She made the zipper movement over her mouth.

"By the way? You're really pretty, girl. You need to wear less clothing and pretty that face up. Not to mention let those boobies show." Jia started to drag her sister away from Theora and the Town Hall scolding her along the way. Her sister was such a dumb ass sometimes. "You know not everyone dresses like you."

"Screw you."
