Who: Chris and Charlie
When: Morning
Where: Market place, on the way to the bakery
What: The green-eyed monster attacks Chris
"Hurry up, Charlie," Chris yelled back to her brother as they walked down the path from the café. Her brother was carrying two hot chocolates, one for himself and one for her. He rolled his eyes at his sister as he hurried toward her.
"You know," he said when he reached her side. "You could've waited for me outside the café liked I asked."
Chris scoffed as she took the hot chocolate from him. "You know how long it takes me to pick stuff out at the bakery," she said. "I wanted to get a head start so we wouldn't be in there forever."
Charlie laughed. "Even with a head start you still wouldn't know what you wanted."
Chris couldn't help but laugh, extending her leg out to playfully kick her brother. Charlie laughed, too, and returned the gesture. "Fights" between the twins never lasted long, sometimes it was over just as quickly as it began. This was one of those times, and now they were walking side-by-side toward the bakery.
"So after the bakery, you're going to walk me to Hayate's place, right?" Chris didn't keep it a secret from her brother that she enjoyed spending time with the vampire; she just didn't tell him all the details of what they did together.
"Yeah, and don't forget you have to be home by 8."
"I hate curfew," she said with a sigh. "But yeah, I'll be home by then. I just want to tell him that we moved, y'know?"
Charlie nodded, and just as they reached the Fresh Food Pavilion the therianthrope noticed a familiar person outside of the bakery. "Hey, isn't that Hayate?" He nudged his sister with his elbow and nodded his head toward the bakery.
"Huh?" She looked forward, a smile on her face just from hearing his name. She was about to call out his name and run up to him when she noticed that he wasn't alone. In fact, he was with another girl. Chris narrowed her eyes, her feet slowing down to a complete stop. Her mouth gaped open in shock when she saw that he was holding her hand.
Chris suddenly felt her chest grow tight as a wave of hot anger flowed over her. He was holding her hand... HE WAS HOLDING HER HAND!! Chris's breath quickened, and her jaw clenched. "We're going home," she said angrily. She turned around and began stomping away in the opposite direction. Jealousy raged through the young girl that she couldn't even think straight. How could he be holding another girl's hand!
She let out a girlish growl and threw her hot chocolate at a nearby trash can, missing it completely and causing the contents to spill on the ground. Charlie looked on, dumbfounded. He had no idea why his sister was acting the way that she was, and all he could do was follow her as she marched away in anger.
