Who: Aveira and Sascha!
When: Afternoon
Where: Weapons Shop
What: Aveira gets caught making an ass out of herself and meets someone new. (not to mention pimps them out ;D )

Aveira looked out the doorway of the Weaponsmith’s shop and bit her lip. “Fuck it. Don’t people want to chop up shit these days?” In truth it was a relief that she didn’t really have to do anything. Well, she did-just not as much. After the harpy attack, she just kind of mellowed out a little and mourned the death of some of her most precious babies. It was sad to know that her best relationships were with her swords. Did she need to get out more? Yes indeed. But she was a working woman.

After she waited a long moment she broke out into one of her favorite songs of all time.

Once I had a love and it was a gas
Soon turned out had a heart of glass
Seemed like the real thing, only to find
Mucho mistrust, love's gone behind
Once I had a love and it was divine
Soon found out I was losing my mind
It seemed like the real thing but I was so blind
Mucho mistrust, love's gone behind.

She tapped on the counter in front of her and moved her feet to her rendition, which of course was more badass than Blondie since there was no music and she was yelling out the words like she didn’t give a rats ass.

She got up and started to straighten up some of the items in the shop while continuing to sing and somewhat danced around. Apparently she couldn’t sit for very long.

In between
What I find is pleasing and I'm feeling fine
Love is so confusing there's no peace of mind.

And then she realized there was someone in the shop and the whole not giving a rats ass turned into her putting her hands behind her back while clearing her throat. “Ho-How may I help you?” She asked quietly. She then began to fumble her fingers. "I-I was just fixing the place up."

Truth be told, Sascha hadn't ventured out much in the days immediately following the harpy attack aside from tending to his shifts at the library. It wasn't that he was paranoid, far be it from that; he was just...concerned about his and Sweeney's well-being in the aftermath of such a vicious attack. Never in his life would he have anticipated anything like those terrifying creatures swooping out of the sky and nearly shredding his dog to ribbons, and all he'd had as a means of defense was his razor. He wasn't about to be caught so offguard again, and that was why he'd decided to make a trip to the Weaponsmith's Shop.

Sweeney followed along at his heel, just as she had every day since the attack. Sascha was comforted by her presence, even moreso than usual; he'd come much too close to losing his furry little girl to let her out of his sight just yet. He winced a little as he leaned against the outside of the building, absently rubbing at his right thigh. Even though Theora had managed to almost completely heal his and Sweeney's injuries with her Elven magic, he'd still been experiencing a lingering soreness in the leg where the harpy had sunk in its talons during the encounter- which had been right across the terrace, in fact. He could practically see the spot from here.

His morning jog had been a strangely uncomfortable experience as the cold weather had done nothing but aggravate the recently healed wound; by the time he'd made it into Helicharis that morning, he had a slight limp in his walk. Hopefully he'd be able to find something here to help with his current affliction. Sascha pushed open the door and stepped inside the shop, only to be instantaneously accosted by the sound of a woman singing- and loudly at that.

He blinked a few times in confusion and searched the inside of the store for the source of the singing before his gaze settled on a lanky brunette dancing past the display cases and straightening the weapons as she went. It took several moments for her to realize he was there, but once she had, an adorably sheepish expression settled over her face. Oh, she was definitely a cute one. Sascha smiled widely and motioned with his hand for her to continue. "Don't stop on my account. Debbie Harry's got nothin' on you."

Aveira gripped on to her sheepish expression for a moment, but let it go when she got a feel of the good looking man. He seemed very casual, very laid back and his greeting hardly suggested that her rendition of the classic would be held against her. He even looked familiar and it wasn’t because everyone may have caught sight of each other during the harpy attack, but it was because the vampire went to various places in the town and perhaps he worked in one of the locations. She would believe that theory before the silence went on for too long.

The vampire wasn’t one for being shy for all too long so she laughed a little. “Yeah, I don’t know about Skye Sweetnam though. I heard she did a killer rocked out rendition. I’ll have to watch my back for her.” She gave out teasingly. “I don’t think I can continue now. Not unless you sit down because I think you are putting more weight on one side of your body and dear god that dog is a cutie.” She had a weakness for dogs and she gave a light hearted expression but turned it back towards Sascha because she meant serious business for him to sit down. Her comrades sometimes got some good bumps to the legs and things while on duty and a stand off meant a stand off so they had to rest their asses where they were.

“Were you in the harpy attack? Unless your are clumsy that is the only reason why I can take a guess as to why you might be having trouble with you leg. But I could be altogether wrong and be finding excuses to wear off my embarrassment.” She leaned down slightly and ruffled Sweeney’s fur a bit before she escorted Sascha to sit down.

Sascha blinked at the no-nonsense expression on the woman's face and carefully lowered himself onto one of the chairs near the counter- not too quickly, of course, because he didn't want to seem completely cowed by a veritable stranger. He knew from firsthand experience, though, that when a woman had a certain look, it would be downright stupid to try and disobey her, even if she hadn't technically said anything. As it was, he'd already been struggling a bit to follow her train of thought- and who the hell was Skye Sweetnam? Gah, sometimes he felt completely out of touch with pop culture.

"Ah, yeah...had a bit of a showdown with those nasty buzzards just across the way from here," he motioned over his shoulder with his thumb, "over on the Training Terrace. I wasn't too keen on the thought of Miss Sweeney turning into some kind of appetizer." At the mention of her name, Sweeney glanced over at Sascha and wagged her tail, edging closer to him in a protective sort of stance. She was so distracted by her master that when the woman reached down and rubbed at the scruff of her neck, she jumped and whirled around, a growl catching low in her throat. Sascha was taken aback at the mutt's reaction and instinctively reached for her collar to restrain her.

"Sorry about that," he apologized a little confusedly as he tugged the dog closer to his side. What the hell was all that about? Sweeney was generally an easy-going creature with a sweet temperament, but ever since they'd set foot in the store, she'd been a little tense. "She doesn't usually act like that around strangers, but it may have something to do with the attack. She's practically been glued to my side ever since." Yes, that was one possible explanation, but even Sascha didn't completely buy it. The only time he'd ever seen her react with such suspicion toward another person had been during his first meeting with Danukas...hm, maybe that was a better explanation.

Sweeney had mostly grown accustomed to the various energies of the other supernatural inhabitants of the haven, but there had been something off-setting about the older vampire that had evoked a naturally fearful response in her. He couldn't tell just from looking at the woman (not that he minded having a chance to look, anyway), but he began to suspect there may have been something different about her. Hell, he'd been living with Irei for three years now and Sweeney was only just beginning to warm up to the necromancer. It had something to do with the "otherwordly" element of their respective beings; dogs were especially sensitive to those sorts of vibes, and Danukas and Irei had them in spades. Maybe this woman did, too, and Sascha realized that he'd have to find a way of asking her without seeming too offensive.

"Just give her a little time, Miss...?" he said with a reassuring smile, holding out his hand and fully intending to drop a kiss to her knuckles by way of a greeting. If he stayed relaxed enough in the woman's presence, maybe Sweeney would drop some of her defensive hackles. "Certain kinds of people just have energies that make her a little nervous. Trust me, she likes everybody." Well, enough about that. Sascha briefly glanced around the various displays in the shop before returning his attention to his new companion. "I've only been here once before, and I'm not all that knowledgeable about most weapons, so...I'm definitely gonna need some help." He patted his thigh for emphasis.

"The cold's really done a number on my leg even though the injury's pretty much healed. Do you have anything this side of the nineteenth century to help with that, like some kind of cane? And...I'm also in the market for some sort of blade. Just for defensive purposes, y'know. I don't like to be caught offguard."

Yo yo, I know you're sort of back in action now...still interested in playing out this thread? I understand if it takes awhile, believe me, so don't feel rushed to reply. I'm just poking to make sure you don't forget about it all the way back here. XD
