Who: Mitsuko (Narrative)
When: Night
Where: Medical Pavilion
What: Thievery and other dastardly plots...

The tiny, white fox slipped silently through the night, moving quickly to avoid detection by any law enforcement that was out enforcing curfew. Mitsuko couldn't afford to be caught. Not with what she was trying to do. This was worse than just a break in. This was breaking in with the intent of poisoning someone.

This was hardly the most difficult job Mitsuko had pulled. As a public building, there were very few locked doors. Mitsuko wasn't going to be walking right in though. There were guards around, especially with a killer running lose in town. With the curfew, she would be escorted right out if she didn't have an explanation for her presence.

She half-considered waiting until the curfew was lifted. But she doubted that would happen any time soon. Kaiya's ghostly words made her even more determined. This had to be done.

The drugs were all kept in a locked room. Mitsuko had seen it during her few visits. She picked a window to a room close by. Better to limit her time inside the building.

Once outside the window, Mitsuko transformed into her human form. She was dressed in a simple pair of leggings and a t-shirt. It was good for maneuverability, but normal enough that if she was caught, she could pass herself off as coming into the Medical Pavilion to see a doctor. Her long, dark hair was in a braided bun, so not to leave behind any stray strands.

Pausing for a moment to slip on gloves, she pulled herself up on the window and peered inside. The room appeared to be empty. Biting her lower lip, Mitsuko opened the window and pulled herself up through it. She held her breath when she noticed someone asleep in bed. It had been a while since she had broken in anywhere. She must have lost a few steps in that time. Normally, she would never make such a mistake. Thankfully, the occupant of the bed seemed to be in a deep sleep. Mitsuko always wore ballet shoes when she was working for this very reason, so she could make her way to the door without making any unnecessary sound.

Opening the door a crack, she peered out into the hallway. Seeing no one there, she slipped out. The drug storage was a down the corridor a bit. Quickly and quietly, she made her way down. Mitsuko crouched down and studied the lock on the knob for a few minutes. It looked to be fairly straightforward. She lifted the edge of her t-shirt to reveal a pouch on her waist. Inside was here locking-picking kit. She drew out a torsion wrench and a hook pick. She gently turned the torsion wrench, tongue sticking out and pressed to her upper lip in deep concentration. She then slipped in the pick and began to feel the pins. Her fox ears twiched, concentrating on the sound. She also paid close attention to the feel of the wrench and pick in her hand, how they reacted to the lock. She had always been good at picking locks. It had been this skill that most impressed Yamada-Sempai and Sho when they first taught her about burglary.

Mitsuko felt her back stiffen at the sound of footsteps. She pulled out the wrench and pick, careful not to damage the lock. The footsteps were coming closer and closer. She scrambled across the hall, into the nearest room. The lights were out and there was no sound. There was no one inside. Remaining on the ground, Mitsuko watched as the guard came down the hallway. He came closer and closer to the room she was in. Thinking quickly, she slid across floor, rolling under the unoccupied bed and transforming into fox form. It was a lot harder to spot a small fox than it was a human-shaped girl.

Thankfully, the guard didn't enter the room, but just glanced in. With the lights out, she went unspotted.

Waiting a few moments for the guard to continue down the hall, Mitsuko went back to the door. She peered out, just in time to see him go around the corner. Letting out a quiet sigh of relief, she went back to the door to the drug storage and went back to work. Maybe now that this hallway had been patrolled, she would have some time to work freely.

It had been a while since she had picked a lock, but she had not lost her touch. The lock gave way and Mitsuko opened the door with gloved hands. She let out a slight shiver. The drug storage was refrigerated to keep the drugs fresh. She looked around the shelves, searching for what she needed. She'd looked it up at the library and everything was well-labelled for the doctors.

Soon enough, she'd discovered the vials in a neat row. Blood-thinners. She drew one out, examining it to make sure it was the right drug. She couldn't afford to risk coming back in again. Satisfied she was correct in her choice, she slipped the vial into her pouch along with her lock-picking tools. She couldn't take more than that. One could be chalked up to a miscount... Anymore and they might realize there had been a robbery.

Locking the door, Mitsuko closed it and went back into the room she'd entered from. The occupant was still deep in sleep. She slipped out the window and closed it behind her. As she hit the ground, she transformed into fox form and made a mad dash towards her home. Her heart was racing, the adrenaline pumping. It had been far too long since she had the opportunity to steal anything. The job pulled successfully, she was in an immensely good mood. She needed to celebrate. Curfew or no, she would take her bounty home, change and go find someone to celebrate with.
