Tuesday: October 30th, 2007
Who: Jin-Sang, Adair
When: Mid-day/1PM
Where: Helicharis
What: With such a nice day once it warmed up, Jin-Sang is out and about

The morning of the 30th Jin-Sang had been pretty skeptical about the weather. He had assumed earlier on when he woke up that it would be chilly and not the kind of day one wanted to go out in. Living in New England left him out of the know with weather when it came to places closer to the equator. When he stepped outside for a bit of fresh air around eleven he changed his mind. It was nice out, how wonderful! Smirking to himself he showered and dressed, figuring a walk would do him good. They were all he did as of late, but he enjoyed his little treks out in to the real world. Sometimes he saw mischief about, people together having fun. He felt a little sore when he watched them, but tried to keep positive.

Why had he reverted in to such a quiet state, he wondered?

Taking off, the door slamming behind him naturally, Jin-Sang shook his head. Fingers ran through the long, black strands, pushing them back out of his face or across his forehead. He always looked pretty good, so he thought, and tried to appear as clean as possible. It was nice to take such good care of oneself, to take pride in ones own appearance. Sunglasses were slipped on over his eyes, hands then fitting in to his slimming sweater, Jin-Sang made his way over to Helicharis. He'd check on a jacket he'd asked for a few days passed, but when he found it wasn't done he stepped out of the store. Hm. Well. Time to browse.

Beginning to hum again, trying to keep a cap on his gift, his shoulders moved with the song suddenly stuck in his head. The words were in English though occasionally some Korean would slip in there. He chuckled when he realized someone had been watching him dance around. What a goof. Stopping, he turned his back on his small audience to look at something in a shop window. That was certainly a great way to be noticed, he thought. Make a fool out of himself.

“It’s a miracle, for once I’m not freezing my balls off.” Adair mumbled, his mouth occupied with a cigarette. He probably had about thirty hoodies and even in the twenty degree range he “forgot” to wear one. So it was his fault, but he would blame it on Mother Nature for being such a bitch and having seasons. Today she was holding back on the colder weather and it felt a bit like the beginnings of Spring. There was no way he was going to coop himself inside.

Adair usually threw on clothes that looked clean and had some sort of band name on it, typically the Ramones. Since his hair was pretty damn short, he usually never did anything to it. Some of his jeans were ripped from falling and he figured they just looked naturally ripped like it was in style. Just get Adair to wear your pants. In about ten minutes or so he would fall and create some killer jeans.

When he got to Helicharis he figured he would look around and maybe see if Sanura or Daiyu were working. They probably were enjoying the nice weather as well. It would probably be one of the last warmer days of the seasons. While he was contemplating what to do-that’s when he saw a dancing Asian man..hmm, that was something new. He shouldn’t be embarrassed; he was caught playing air drums once.

“Going through iPod withdrawal?”

Chuckling, Jin-Sang gave a nod and a small grin. "Yeah," he replied. He had one of those old iPods, the ones that had all of the battery issues that people tried to sue over. His had never acted up, not once, and he was quite sure if he had to part with her he would never be the same. Even his name was engraved in to the back--not that he was the only person to do this. It seemed many of his classmates had various Apple technology with their names carved smoothly in to the back. JC really liked his jumbo MP3 player, though. She was heavy in his hand, but not weighted and tiresome to carry. That left a secure feeling that, should it even drop, it would not break the first time round.

"You ever feel that way?" he figured he may as well ask. One didn't come up with such things unless they had experienced some kind of withdrawal as well. Vaguely he tried to peg this guy for what his vice would be. When a breeze blew on by and he caught the scent of cigarette, he decided it was smoking. In the window reflection JC even decided the guy looked like a smoker. Not in a bad way, just a smoking type of person. Some people looked it, some didn't. Nothing to be ashamed of. But Jin-Sang finally turned around to face Adair. What astonishing eyes, he thought, but that was the end of it.

"I'm pretty glad they got this generator thing coming up," he mused. Usually he wasn't the talk-to-stranger kind of guy, yet he was feeling talkative today. How unusual. It must have been the nice weather and tomorrow being Halloween. The Connors had never fully participated in the Americanized event aside from trick-or-treating when Jin-Sang was small and giving out candy when he was old. Once he'd gone to a pretty wild party at college, just in 2006 actually, but it had been his last. Parties like that were not his style. Too much drug usage and alcohol. While he could enjoy a drink now and then, he really didn't make it a habit like those kids had.

“Hell yeah, are you kidding me?” Adair replied. “Dude, sometimes I gave to hum a song just to get to sleep I can’t stand not having some sort of tune to make me relax or something. I miss not having some remix to get me through the day. I hate like the stuff that was on the radio so I would load like Muse, Radiohead, Something Corporate, The Ramones, Pink Floyd stuff like that on my iPod. But I am a very diverse person. Just the country shite killed me!” He admitted. “But I try to memorize my playlists and sometimes play it on my guitar. Of course I have to try and remember it by ear.”

Adair would probably talked to just about anyone unless they read ‘holy shit totally will kill you”, then he would steer clear. This person seemed like they were pretty cool to talk with. Not boring or anything like some could be. “Yeah the generator thing seems badass. “

Halloween came to him naturally because he was thinking about it almost all month since it was his favorite holiday. “Aye? You celebrating Halloween? There is like some party going on.” He knew he would be among the trashed.

This guy. . .Jin-Sang felt a surge of approval for him. They had similar musical tastes, for everything was pretty good to Jin-Sang aside from emo, and country. He smiled and nodded at Adair. "I like Radiohead," he said with a wave of his hand. And then Adair said he played the guitar. Nodding again, he completely understood what the guy was talking about. "It's not so hard," he mused in return. "Though some songs are hard to play by ear if you're not careful. Riffs." Riffs, JC thought, could throw anyone off. "I play, too."

At the mention of Halloween, he tried not to snicker. How ironic, he'd only just been thinking of it and here the topic was! Giving another wave of his hand, he shrugged. "I dunno," he said while taking a minute to think it over. Then he shook his head, a turn of his lower lip downward. "Probably not. I might swing by to see what's happening, that's about it." Jin-Sang might not like parties, but he was also trained not to get out much. His schedules in the past had been so packed he couldn't have attended many events if he wanted to. Swimming, practice, guitar, practice, rehearsal, practice, training. . .There was hardly time for homework and sleep some days!

In fact, he probably would have liked the party. No one said he had to drink, only that he could. He was legal, 22-year even, he could down as much as he wanted. But he most likely would not. There was something about drunkards that made him a wee bit uncomfortable--nothing he couldn't deal with, yet easily avoidable. "You going? I guess I'm still thinking about it."

Adair knew the guitar riffs on Radiohead’s behalf playing were wicked. They seriously would be impossible to play by ear unless you sung out the notes out loud and plucked out the notes one by one until you had the song figured out. Most people figured it worked out like the movies where the song just fell into place. His favorite was the movie Once where the chemisty between the guy and girl was so good that they figured out a made up song by ear together and even harmonized perfectly. Hey, off topic but the creators won an Oscar for the song and it was one of his favorite songs to play. Pretty easy to learn. Glen Hansard was both very easy to figure out on the guitar yet incredibly impossible.

“I agree on the Riffs. Especially on Dave Matthews. That guy is king of the Riffs. I’ve tried for quite some time to play a song called Ants Marching and the riffs are quite difficult to learn without actually hearing the song. The guys a genius on acoustic guitar. Most people like the hardcore stuff on the electric guitar. But he’s one talented man on the acoustic strings. Not to mention Santana.” Adair figured anyone could ‘play’ the guitar, but those men had a reputation.

He wasn’t going!? Damn he sure seemed like the partying type for some reason. He could get the girls, play the music. There would be music and girls so it was perfect. “Yeah, I am going. But damn, you're not!? Best holiday of them all so I may as well just relax while one of the finer Holiday’s passes by. Not to mention the weather will begin to get colder. You should give it a shot!”

The psychic scratched the back of his head. “Oh! I might not have introduced myself. My name is Adair.”

Having never seen Once it was probably best that Adair had not mentioned it. But he knew of the plot. The plot was the same in all of those movies. Jin-Sang preferred to stay away from music-related movies for that reason. Unless they were biographical or historically accurate, the fictional shows seemed to be so. . .

Fake.

They reminded him of himself. He didn't like that.

"Dave Matthews, ugh. Tell me about it," the Asian laughed. Adair was dead on with his comment. JC preferred Santana over Dave Matthews, if he had to pick from the two, though they both received gold stars in his book. Legendary, man. Legendary. It was then that he opened his mouth to ask if Santana had a new album coming out. He had heard rumors early on in the year, but then he realized that that feat was no longer possible. Shame they didn't have a recording studio here. Jin-Sang knew of a few people around Elysium who had lovely voices.

"I'll think about it," he said with a small smile. "We didn't really do Halloween. We did, but college Halloween parties are not the same." Laughing, because he felt Adair was the kind to know exactly what he was talking about, he shrugged, too. "C'est la vie." No, he didn't know French. He only knew the phrase and could use it relatively appropriately.

"I don't actually know a lot of people here, I haven't put the effort." At that Jin-Sang sounded a little bitter toward himself for being such a coward and shying away from the other creatures. While he found it amazing to be surrounded by those like him, he was afraid he would revert back to his old ways. Therefore it was just easier to pretend he didn't exist, but he thrust his hand out to shake Adair's anyway. Maybe he needed to stop being so frightened of the past.

"Jin-Sang. Nice to meet you." And it was.

Adair gave a genuine smile towards Jin-Sang who he might end up calling Jin because even his mouth was lazy. “You know what. Don’t feel bad about not knowing people.” The psychic scratched the back of his head sheepishly. “You know I was here for over a month before I even got out of the house to even walk around?” he laughed at the thought. “Most of the time I just sat on the grass.” smoking grass “Relaxing and expecting to be rescued. Finally I decided to get to know people.”

The people he had encountered were very nice. Diverse as well. Zane was hilarious and Adrienne had quickly become a best friend. He even had best friends in the sanctuary, which raised another question. “You have any family here? I mean I have heard mixed comments that it is rare but common. I only have friends here from back home.”

He hoped he wasn’t sounding too intrusive. But his new acquaintance seemed quite interesting. He didn’t always meet someone that was as interested in music like he was.

It was good to know that he wasn't the only one to have been staying inside for quite a while. Jin-Sang had been nervous and a little frightened, aside from lonely. Feeling comforted, he gave a smile at his new friend, Adair. He could read between the lines, too. A lot of his friends, outside of the sports teams, had smoked a little of This a little of That. He chose not to but hung around with them enough to get second-hand-high, if that were truly possible.

"Ah, no. My mothers died during the virus outbreak," he said without much of a stress on the plural for his moms. Yes, he had two. A lot of people found that really weird when they first met him. A lot of people also had judged him because of it, thinking he might have turned out to be gay, too. Jin-Sang, in fact, was as straight as straight could be. He did the same things all the other straight men out there did.

"I never met anyone else like myself," JC explained. "So this is all very new anyway. Wish I had, though. Would've been good." He gave a smirk and a shrug to show no hard feelings.

Giving a saddened face towards Jin-Sang Adair thought about what it might have been like to have two mothers. People gave others a lot of shit for that sort of thing, but Adair didn’t see the big deal in it. People always thought he was gay, especially since he lived with two other guys. That and he just didn’t click well with girls on a dating level. Maybe he was still in the ‘eww cooties’ stage. Whatever, he was still young.

“I’m sorry to hear that.” Adair stated slowly. “That’s cool though that you had two mothers.” The tone in his voice showed that he was not at all weired out by it. “My father died before the virus struck of lung cancer. Shows how dumb I am to keep on with the cancer happy habit. My mother died of the virus and I don’t really know about my other family. I left them in Melbourne and moved to Sydney before this whole PV virus because they didn’t accept me for who I was. The whole psychic thing made them a little uneasy.”

His brother and sister acted like he was a leper. He did cause a lot of trouble for the family, so he believed he was doing what was best.

Pasts seemed to be sad around here. Jin-Sang didn't really want to purposefully dwell on the fact that they had all lost someone or something important. Yet it was a topic of conversation that was bound to creep its way in almost all of the time. "How'd you get here?" "Oh, you know, trekked across the great sea alone. No big."

Definitely not the greatest exchange, so JC made quick work of the topic before moving on. "It's okay," he said with a small smile. It wasn't forced, but it wasn't real. Long since had the Siren learned to build himself a mask. Parts of him had hope that someone could crack it, tear it down, and find the real, fun boy behind it. But for the time that seemed hopeless. "Yeah. They were pretty cool themselves. Sorry about your parents." And he was, because he didn't feel like this was something people should have to suffer through.

"So where'd you come from? Sydney? I've never been to Australia. We didn't travel outside of the United States. Once I moved to Florida for college that was more or less my exodus." He smiled, more for real this time, and resisted a chuckle. "Is the Land Down Under really as stereotypical as the TV makes it?" So many moves were based in Australia and it just made the place look so. . .quirky in an unrealistic manner. JC would have liked to travel someday.

Adair made a face about how Australia was portrayed. “Fuck no.” He gave a long chuckle. “First of all, those dashing blondes you see get a little help from a little thing called hair dye. Many of us have medium blonde to brown hair and if we have the blonde hair it stems from people way out towards the National parks.” He shook his head, then continued. “Second of all, the food Americans eat from Outback Stakehouse..is utterly pathetic and an insult. Just like over exaggerated Australian accents on TV. Take for instance Chase on this show called House M.D.. He’s an Aussie..but due to American TV they push his voice just so he is saying “Hey! Make sure you can tell I am an Aussie compared to the damn Brits!”

He knew he was ranting, but he had one last point to make. “Did you know that Australians are just the ancestors of British prisoners?” he thought that was pretty cool that his ancestor could have been some mass murderer. Sadistic..but cool all in the same.

‘You must have dealt with some stereotypes as well. I know my Asian friends got a lot of shit.” He looked over at him with a deeply apologetic look. “Not to say all Asian people get shit.”

There was only one thing Jin-Sang could do from the moment to Adair opened his mouth, to a little after it, and that was laugh. From his profanity to pop cultural references, JC only found it funny. He knew it was all for show, or figured as much, and the Outback was just never a place he had liked to go anyway. Shaking his head, he held up a hand to excuse himself while he took a deep breath and found his sanity. "I'm sorry," he told Adair. Jin-Sang really was sorry, too, he usually didn't let go like that.

"First, they're not all that dashing. Sundyed hair is dead hair." Take it from a guy who lived in Florida and had a lot of strange friends. "Second, I hated the Outback anyway. And it's like the Longhorn. All for show and atmosphere. Though Longhorn has way better food." He smiled. "Third, it's TV. Creative differences?" The Asian-American looked away as he shook his head, rolling his eyes. "It's what makes TV fun. Though I didn't watch a lot." No time, really.

"Ah, that I did know. My Brit Lit teacher was kind of crazy about knowing and sharing weird things like that. But, ah, yeah. There were a lot of stereotypes, even in Mass where you saw every color out there." He crossed his arms and pondered it for a moment. Well, all was fine and dandy most times.

"It was hell to get a part in the school shows." And that, really, was that.

Adair laughed along with Jin-Sang when he laughed “No, really. Trust me, I wasn’t offended. We Australians get our revenge when American’s come to visit us. What we do is we rip them off. You know, tell them of all the wonderful places they will see and laugh our asses to the bank. It really is wonderful there though. In fact, we are among the number one place for tourist spots. That’s actually a big reason why our economy does so well. So while the American’s get the shit on our food and accents, we rip them off a little. “ He thought about the movie Open Water where the tourists strayed away from the boat and got eaten by sharks…sad way to go. But he still mentioned scuba diving. “We have some killer areas to scuba dive too.”

The psychic agreed on creative TV. “True. We have shows with stupid Americans. Plus, many girls think the Australian thing is hot. What can I say? We just can’t help ourselves.” He stated with a teasing bat of the lashes.

He made a scoffing noise about Asians not getting parts in school plays. “That is so lame ass. I hate it when some white dude gets a part and he sounds like a dying duck. Yet if he fits the role it is considered okay.” He could go on and on about that. Brisbane kids that attended Melbourne schools were often African American and never got good parts because of ‘period piece’ musicals. But he was laughing his ass off when the play Ragtime was the next musical was picked. Caucasians finally were begging for a part. Hell yeah.

“Do you like plays and all? I think plays kick ass. Many people think I am weird for the whole liking plays thing, but I like them.”

This guy was pretty funny. Jin-Sang grinned and nodded. "Good thing I haven't gone to Australia, then," was all he could really say about it. Not that American's didn't rip tourists off, too. Those big, fun places like Disney and Busch Gardens, Six Flags. . .you paid a lot of money for a sunburn. Yet people, despite knowing this, return year after year. Jin-Sang had gone once to Disney after their high school won the state swimming championship. That had been a whole lot of fun, though very pricey.

"They think you're exotic," mused the Korean after that. "Don't let it go to your head. You have to work for your tan." He grinned and ran a hand through his black hair as if to "prove" a point. JC had a natural tan that he was very pleased with. He fit in in Florida and he never had to go outside, he fit in in Boston where everyone was of a different race. Should he have lived or gone anywhere else it may have been a different story. That, however, was beside the point by now.

"Ah, yes. I was a theatre performance major in college. I did it all. Plays, musicals, cabaret. Whatever I could get my hands on when I had spare time outside of swim practice."

Adair laughed about getting a tan. “Me, get a tan?” He looked over his pale completion. “You know, it’s really funny. Australian’s either are meant for the sun, or they need to watch out for it. I think I get what you American’s call a farmers tan. I hate it, but I sunburn a bit. If I am careful though, I might be able to pull of the kind of tan you can.” He teased. All of this talk about sun and tan was making him hate the fact that they were far from summer and heading towards the winter.

“And If I had just a plain accent, chicks wouldn’t give me the time of day. Come on now, I’m the height of a hobbit.” He stated with a bit of a chuckle. “It just means I can sneak through large groups of people and get away with it.”

The psychic had to admit he was impressed with what Jin-Sang did. “Dude, that’s awesome. I mean I did plays too, but I got a lot of the parts meant for small people. You need to perform sometime I woud love to hear you man.” When he spoke of swimming Adair gave a coy grin. The guy hadn’t spoke of any species yet and he had a feeling he wasn’t quite human. “..You a mer-man than?” He poked, trying to figure out if he had some sort of ability in a stealthy sort of way.

Okay, so maybe not everyone could get a tan. Jin-Sang grinned and shrugged with a fluidity of a real dancer. "Alright, you stay pale. I can't really see you with a tan anyway." He was only teasing, but some people just really didn't look good with any shade of tan. True fact. Take Jin-Sang for one. If he went out and got a tan, beyond that of his race, he'd probably look as though his parents were Asian and African. Not that that was a bad thing, he just would prefer not to look awkward or anything like that.

"Good thing you're not the silent type," said JC. If he were, he'd never get anyone to look at him. "But I don't think you're that short." The American-Korean was rather tall for an Asian, but he wasn't exceptionally tall, either. Just after. He liked being average, normal, not standing out. A bit of peace in his otherwise different mind.

"I play at the Wine Bar a few nights a week. Guitar." He shrugged and then looked at Adair quite strangely. Following the look he broke in to laughter that hurt his side. He didn't know why it was so funny, which was probably what made it that humorous to him. "No-no. I was one of my school's top three placing swimmers on the team." He liked to say top three so he didn't feel so Godly. Jin-Sang was sure he wouldn't have been that high ranking if he weren't a Siren and drawn naturally toward the water. "But I'm not human, I'll tell you that."

Did one just out and say it? Jin-Sang hadn't ever been in this situation before. Michelle told him to not tell people, but everyone here was either some supernatural being or human immune to the virus. That meant he wasn't alone anymore. Running a hand through his hair he gave another shrug. "I'm a-a siren." It was then that he sighed.

That felt really good to say out loud. Not just really good, even. It felt superb.

A siren? Adair kind of looked at him dumbly. A siren? Shit what the hell was that? He knew it was something epically cool so he took a moment to think about it before he seemed like he thought it was freaky or he didn’t give a shit. He was dying to know what he could do but some people weren’t cool with his over eager approach to know things. His eyes hit the floor and scattered about to think of what sirens were. In Greek mythology they could be dangerous, but in his case he hardly saw the danger in Jin-Sang. So he had better keep thinking.

“OH! You can do something with your voice..right?” He then thought of the term “siren song” which always was a term used about something that was hard to resist, but in Greek mythology you paid a price if you resisted. Once again, he couldn’t see that being the case. “So..like can you sing..and like, cause people to be draw in by it?” He waved a hand. “I’m only guessing because I am a nerd for Greek Mythology. It’s tragic shit though. A guy drowned because he followed a woman’s voice and only knew where she was by the light she was by. But one night he was following her beautiful voice without the guidance of a light, and drowned. So, I doubt it’s that tragic. But I bet it is indeed beautiful.”

Man, that shit was awesome, if he was right that is. He could totally be wrong and Adair felt awful that he came off eager as he promised he wouldn’t. “Man, sorry for the fan girl approach. I just think that’s awesome.”

The siren indeed knew the lore. He'd read it many times to know what to avoid doing. He'd presented project in high school on the myth he knew so well. Jin-Sang wasn't a myth, however, he was quite real. Real enough to be able to make things up and get people to do a few things that he wanted. It wasn't as if he were a Jedi, that would be silly. Though sometimes his gift did come in handy.

Smiling and laughing, he gave a nod. "Yeah. Though I don't have to sing." He crossed his arms and looked Adair over. He did this to Michelle once and it had freaked the hell out of her, but he though Adair might find this amusing instead. "You can be as fangirly as you want," he said in his contained human voice. But he gave a grin and pointed down at Adair's left shoe. "I want your shoe. Please, give it to me? I want the shoe." His voice had taken on a difference that was easy to hear from a bystander. To Adair, who might hear the difference, he would only hear the desire to do what he was asked of. And at the moment he was being asked to take off his shoe and give it to Jin-Sang. It was a relatively easy task to have someone do and it wasn't nearly as embarrassing as some of the things he could have done.

"I need you to give me the shoe, Adair. Please, give me the shoe." He held out his hand, waiting for the shoe. Once the task was done Adair would have been released from the so called spell. Then Jin0Sang really would have had a laugh.

Adair looked at his shoe for a moment and thought Jin-Sang was trying to tell him he had something on his shoe like gum for a moment. But when he heard a voice slip into his ear it was kind of a voice that could make you stand there and feel a calm come over your body. He probably looked like a dumbass since he felt so eased by the voice.

It only took him a few moments to reach down to grab his left shoe. He always had kick ass shoes like vans, so Jin-Sang sure had some wicked abilities if he could get him to hand over his custom made shoe. Lucky for the Asian, Adair’s feet didn’t smell either.

Once the task was done, Adair looked at his shoeless left foot.

“What. The. Fuck?”

Holding the shoe out to Adair, he shrugged. "I think this is yours?" he replied with a smile. Okay, he was grinning. Jin-Sang didn't get to play tricks often, for he remembered while they were fun for him, they weren't really for the other person. He let his grin drop to a smile as he gave away the shoe and put his hands in his pockets.

"Does that answer your questions?" he asked teasingly. JC was a good kid by nature, now that he was cured of his problems. Swaying on his feet, he waited to hear what Adair had to say besides "what the fuck" and hoped it wasn't something bad. He didn't mean to make the guy angry, if that is what he had accomplished. In situations like this Jin-Sang thought it was just easier in the long run to show rather than try to tell.

“OH MY GOD THAT IS SO COOL!!!” He took his shoe back and looked at it like it was a piece of gold. “Oh man, how do you like? I dunno, control it? Have you ever had moments where like the ability has just came out and you didn’t mean to!? You totally just made me give your shoe! That shit is insane!” Yeah okay, he was like a five year old who found out there were a new set of Tomagotchi’s coming out, but who the hell cared? His ability was awesome. He gave his shoe to Jin-Sang like he was a robot.

“Oh man. Are there a lot of Sirens? Do you know any other ones?” He put his shoe on and looked around him, making sure no one saw his incredibly uncool act of shoe giving. Man, his shoe size was so small. How embarrassing.

“Man, if there was like a choir of you? That would be batshit crazy. Who knows what you guys could do.” Okay, his theories would end there, Adair promised.

Well, you know what they say about men and their shoe size. But Jin-Sang was not about to judge. He watched Adair put his shoe back on in silence, only smiling in amusement. This guy had a lot of questions that he was very willing to answer, in time of course. After going for 22 long years without talking to people about his ability or what he was, he had to admit that this felt really good. And Adair was a perfect candidate. He was psyched about what just happened, not freaked out--which was what JC worried about the most. Even here, how weird was it that he could sing like some lady from an old myth?

"Sometimes, yeah," replied Jin-Sang with a half smile and a nod of his head. "I think it's more like something you have to control all the time, more than turn on and off." He wished it was the other way around, it made it so much easier. Sometimes when he got excited he would start talking in that animated manner. Fortunately he didn't really tell anyone to do anything when he was going off like that. But he didn't like when he lost control, either. In fact, it was about as bad as doing it on purpose.

"I've never met another one, actually," said JC. "My parents were, and we wrote letters, but I didn't meet them." At the other man's final comment he could only smile. Jin-Sang kind of thought they were an evil sort of creature, especially after all of the Greek and Roman myths happening in literature. He wished he could change a persons opinion, but the education system had been failing lately. Some people didn't even know what a siren was, he felt sure of it.

Adair thought it was quite interesting to learn that he had never met his parents. Obviously he was adopted when he learned he had two mothers, but he thought it was neat that he could write to his parents. “Did you write to them often?” He folded his arms and ran a foot across the ground. “Do you guys live longer than humans?

He finally looked at Jin-Sang and decided he may as well reveal his little secret. “I’m a psychic. Who knows, maybe I will see your future one time.” It wasn’t always a good thing, sometimes he saw some pretty freaky shit. Dead bodies, people running in places he couldn’t identify. Sometimes things looked all out of place which didn’t help others at all. “It doesn’t work like the movies unfortunately. “

It didn’t happen like he wanted it to either. It seemed like when he smoked or had headaches it helped trigger the visions. Weird stuff like that. He never took the time to pay real close attention.

"I wrote them enough, about once a month for a while. After that it got a little longer between each one. I got more busy as I got older. Didn't have the time for myself, let alone writing people." He shrugged it off, not really wanting to talk about it. Jin-Sang had no problem with his past, he just wasn't a big sharer when it came to actually discussion. "Eh, I guess maybe a little. I don't know, I don't remember." He knew he had been told at some point, but when he learned he hadn't really been keen to care. Who wanted to live more than the averaged 80 or 90 year span? Not him. That was too long.

"Psychic?" He sounded interested as he echoed back. "I look forward to it, whatever it is. Movies are liars anyway." Smiling, he took a few steps away and down the path when he glanced at the sky to see the time. "I should probably getting moving," said JC with a sad look. He really liked Adair and didn't want to go, though he didn't really have anywhere to be either. It was just that weird urge to move. "I'll see you at the party tomorrow night, yeah? It'll be fun." And it would. So he smiled and gave a light wave, feeling bad for just leaving. Jin-Sang was not good with small talk, or goodbyes. He hoped Adair didn't come to dislike him for it.
