Monday: October 29, 2007
Who: Zach, Nico, Adrienne, and Umeko!
When: Begins late afternoon, and lasts all through the night.
Where: The path between Helicharis and the Ancient Elven Ruins.
What: Camping trip!

The four of them left together from the initial house of meeting, which was Zach and Nico's cottage, and started on their journey through Elysium towards the south. Heading north would only bring them straight into much colder air, and none of them were quite up for that. They wanted to keep as warm as possible, and the forests in the south were nice and sparse, easy to travel through, and they could set up shop near the Ancient Elven Ruins. Maybe another time when it wasn't so cold they could travel to the palace for the night.

They had to bring a horse with them to help them carry all of their supplies, which wasn't all that much. It made the trip easier with a horse to help them along the way, so they brought Nico's horse from the stables to carry the two bags with the tent folded inside of them and another bag full of extra supplies. Everyone carried their own backpack with personal stuff in it, like clothing and whatnot. Blankets and pillows were also on the back of Nico's horse. They probably helped keep the fellow warm, so Zach doubted he minded it.

Zach and Nico were also leading the troupe of four simply because they had declared themselves group leaders. Adrienne insisted they carry lanterns, but Zach could barely see anything ahead of him in the fading light with just a lit wick shielded behind some unclean glass. This camping trip would require some heavy duty lighting props if they were going to find their way in the dark.

"Okay, this lantern isn't lighting up anything," Zach said, hooking the lantern onto his backpack and letting it hang. A moment later, he whipped out a flashlight from his backpack and clicked the bright light on, turning around to face the others. He held the flashlight under his chin as he walked backwards. "Toniiight," he said, using an ultra-fake Translyvanian accent, "we are taking 'ee road less traveiled." He turned around to watch where he was going again, shining the flashlight around their surroundings. "Hey, Nico, does this look familiar to you?" Zach aimed his flashlight at a big tree to their right. "Why does everything always look different at night?"

Nico had been looking forward to this camping trip since he and Zach planned it. It was a bonus that the girls were with them, and Nico was especially happy that Umeko had agreed to come along. But he didn't hike alongside her; he was one of the leaders with Zach, and the girls were just behind them.

"These lanterns suck," he said as he pulled out his own flashlight. He hooked his lantern to Zach's backpack as well, laughing a little at the fact that it looked like back lights on a car as he walked ahead. Nico turned on his flashlight and scanned the landscape ahead of them as Zach did his Transylvanian tour guide impersonation. He rolled his eyes but joined in on the fun as he sidled next to Zach.

The light was under his chin, too, but he spoke without a cheesy accent. "The less traveled road has lots of holes so watch out!" He laughed out loud, and turned around to continue on their path. His light scanned left, then right, and he stopped only when Zach asked his question.

"How the hell am I supposed to know?" He scratched the back of his head and then looked around for anything familiar. "I think we're just West of the ruins," he said with a nod. "Yeah, so we should go that way." He pointed somewhere to the right, not really knowing which way was East since he didn't bring a compass.

Umeko figured it was typical for boys to want to navigate the trip so she shook her head in amusement and left that task to them. It gave her time to sneak in conversation with Adrienne. “Hey you.” She spoke in a soft, introductory tone. “It’s about time some people went and did this huh? Though it's a bit chilly, this is going to be so fun!” It was really nice to see Adrienne up close and get to know her better. “I mean..I know you know I am Umeko, but I thought I would better introduce myself.”

She turned her gaze towards the boys. “And let’s seriously hope these boys don’t lead us into a pack of hungry wolves or something.” She teased. “Not that navigating around here is necessarily easy. This place is huge! I am sure I haven’t seen even fifty percent of this place!” The therianthrope shivered a little and moved on her tip toes to try and see the land ahead of her. “But I mean it looks good so far. I think our boys are doing quite well.”

Adrienne trusted Zach's sense of direction, but Nico's? Well that was another story. She shook her head when he pointed to the right, and sighed. "If you're going to lead us," she began with a smirk. "You might need this." She handed her compass to Zach knowing that he would be able to lead them to the camp site they had picked out a few weeks ago. She laughed a little at their 'fearless' leaders, and then leaned in toward Umeko.

"I'm glad you decided to come along, Umeko," Adrienne said as she linked arms with the other girl. "I've been wanting to hang out with you ever since Nico mentioned you. I remember seeing you at Nathaniel's party. You were sitting next to Zach, but we didn't get a chance to talk that night." Adrienne wanted to make Umeko feel welcome during their group outing, and she was finding the girl to be an absolute doll. She was nice and cute, and the kind of girl Adrienne thought she could be friends with.

The lycan nodded in agreement with Umeko's statement. "Seriously, just because I'm a werewolf doesn't mean I can protect us against wolves," she said with a chuckle. The weather wasn't too bad out that night, but Adrienne could tell that it would just get colder as the night wore on. The sooner they reached the camp site and set up a camp fire, the better! "I think our boys are going to get us lost," Adrienne said to Umeko in a false whisper. She had spoken loud enough for the boys to hear her words. It was Adrienne's way of teasing them, and they both knew her well enough to not take her words seriously.

From the moment Adrienne began to speak, Umeko could see why Zach could like a girl like Adrienne . She was so nice! It wasn’t a-“Oh we are camping together, so I have to be nice to you” kind of thing. But she was genuinely incredibly nice. Umeko truly believed that nice girls were hard to find nowadays. Many girls Adrienne’s age were hardly as nice as her. They were the secretly catty kind, or the type of girls who were just plain bitchy. Umeko was nice, but she was the hyper nice of sorts. Adrienne was just sweet and outgoing. She could tell they were going to get along great.

“I’m glad you guys invited me.” Umeko immediately felt color come to her cheeks. “Nico..talked about me?” She laughed it off. “Oh, like just said my name and all? Yeah, I..ran into him awhile back and then we went out for lunch!” She leaned into her to whisper. “It was the cutest thing ever. He can be really sweet.” She couldn’t help but smirk. “Speaking of sweet, I’ve met Zach before! He is so sweet! I’ve heard you guys have been together for quite some time now. You guys could use a trip like this.”

She was a werewolf? She shot her eyes towards her. “You can turn into a wolf thingie!?” She puffed out her chest. “Well, I can turn into a panda. Not as cool I know. But still.” She then gazed at the boys. “Get us lost-and no marshmallows for yoouuuu!”

Zach pretended the weight of both lanterns on his backpack were going to make him tip over backwards, stumbling falsely after Nico put his on Zach's backpack, too. "What the hell, Nico?" Zach said, laughing. "Not manly enough to carry your own lantern?" Thankfully, they weren't huge lanterns but small ones. Otherwise, they'd bang up against the back of Zach's legs with each step. He thought his accent was fitting for the occasion, especially since it was so close to Halloween.

"Because I'm asking you," Zach retorted back to Nico. It looked different right now, but Zach was sure they were heading in the general correct direction. Those lanterns hadn't been helping him with figuring out their exact location, though. When Adrienne passed a compass to him, Zach smiled and took it. "Aha," he said in victory, facing forward again and gazing down at the little arrows to see what it would say. "Oh wait," Zach said. "Wrong way, Nico. We have to go this way." Zach pointed to the left since they were West and they needed to go East. Zach packed the compass into his pocket and continued to march forward.

"I heard that!" Zach hollered back at Adrienne, smiling but trying to fight it off. "We are not getting lost. We are right on track. Isn't that right, Nico? Which means I'm getting my fair share of marshmellows or someone's gonna be in big trouble!" What that big trouble was, Zach hadn't figured out yet. But the second he needed to figure out what sort of payback to introduce into the mix, he'd come up with something really good.

"That's what I said," said Nico as he tried to cover up his mistake. "That way." He pointed East this time as if that was what he meant all along. "I was just testing you guys. You passed." He nodded and then headed down the path to the left. He shined his light along the ground with Zach by his side. The girls were still behind them, giggling and talking the way girls normally did. He was glad that Umeko got along with his friends since their opinion of any girl that he liked (seriously) meant a lot to him.

He overheard their conversation, knowing that the girls were deliberately teasing them. "Hey Zach, if we lost the girls on purpose we could keep all the marshmallows for ourselves," Nico retorted loud enough for Umeko and Adrienne to hear. "We could just dart ahead, duck behind some trees, and leave them in the dust." Nico let out a riotous laugh, and then turned off his flashlight. He began to rustle the branches of the trees that lined the path in an attempt to scare the girls.

"You guys better watch out! The boogeyman is going to get you!"

Nico turned to Zach and cocked his head to the side quickly. "Hey bro," he said in a whisper. "Let's hide over there. We can jump out at them as they pass."

Adrienne couldn't help but laugh at both Zach and Nico. Anyone could tell that they were best friends with the way they bantered and played around with one another. Adrienne continued talking with Umeko, getting to know more about the girl that had caught Nico's genuine interest. It was rare (at least in Adrienne's experience) that Nico found a girl that kept his attention for more than a day or two, and one that he was willing to introduce to his friends.

"Nico said more than just your name," Adrienne told Umeko with a grin. "I mean, he didn't tell me directly since he was talking to Zach, but hello, werewolf hearing. Anyway, he told Zach that he liked this girl named Umeko. Then I confronted him about it, and then he told me." Adrienne laughed a little and smiled. "But he was right, you are an awesome girl." The werewolf bumped shoulders playfully with Umeko as they walked down the path. The boys were still in the lead, and still talking trash.

"Ha ha ha." Adrienne laughed sarcastically and rolled her eyes. "You guys realize that all the food is on the horse, and me and Umeko are the ones with the horse. So, if anyone gets marshmallows, it'll be us." Adrienne laughed heartily this time, wondering what the boys would do or say after their realization that it was the girls who had the upper hand in this situation. Her answer came shortly thereafter when Nico turned off his flashlight and started to make spooky sounds with his voice. "Oh we're so scared." Adrienne's sarcasm returned as she shook her head in disbelief.

"Can you believe these guys," she asked Umeko. "Do they think we're twelve or something?"

She stopped the horse from going any further as she peered down the pathway. The lamps on Zach's backpack were still visible so at least she and Umeko could see where they were going. "I think they're going to try to scare us," Adrienne said to Umeko in a whisper. "We should try to get the jump on them first!"

Umeko felt a sly smile coming over her face along with a cheeky lift of the shoulder when she was informed that Nico talked about her in detail to Zach. "Well only the non-perverted stuff is true." She stated in playful defense. But in truth she was flattered that she fit in so well. There was no weird tension of feeling like she was the "odd man out" or anything.

When she heard the boys teasing them, Umeko turned to face them and stuck out her tongue. "Oh boogeyman my left butt cheek!" Umeko shot at the boys. "Plus, us ladies are too pretty for the big bad ghost to want to do harm to us." Umeko pointed out, then looked back in Adrienne's direction, knowing it would probably be true. "If anything were to really happen like that, we would handle it better. I just know it." Umeko faked giving off some serious muscle arms. "Girls rule boys drool am I right Adrienne?"

A thought then came to her and she leaned into Adrienne, making sure the boys would not hear it. Man, this night could be full of pranks! "We should try and spook them. It would be hilarious to get them running around and screaming like girls."

Zach leaned in towards Nico in order for them to talk where Adrienne and Umeko couldn't hear them. "Man, I'm not so sure about that," Zach said. "I mean, I have two lanterns practically hanging from my ass and clanking around. It's a dead giveaway, and I can't creep up on anyone." Even if he put them out, they would still be making noise. He would have to remove them and walk back to the girls to hook them onto the bags with the horse. In fact, he considered doing that just now to save himself the trouble of having to carry them himself.

"But, hey," Zach continued with a smirk on his face, "if you wanna run into the bushes to hide, I can act like you just vanished. That'd scare them real good, don't ya think?" Zach thought the idea he pitched was pretty good, and he nodded his own head at it. Of course, he couldn't ignore the girls' claims and had to answer them.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," he called out. "I've heard it all before!" Turning to Nico, Zach made his eyes really wide and motioned with his head for Nico to make a run for it. He spoke the next words loud enough for the girls to hear, and his voice was completely normal and calm. "Hey, man, hold this for me while I go put these lanterns on the horse, 'kay?" Zach pretended to give Nico something and turned around to head back towards the girls. Putting away his flashlight temporarily, he unhooked the lanterns from his backpack and carried them in his hands.

Hopefully, Nico would take his cue and dash as soon as possible.

"Shit, the lanterns!" Nico snarled in annoyance. "Damn..." He rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "What can we do then?" There was a reason that Nico and Zach were best friends, not only did they get along great together, but they were partners in crime. Nico pulled Zach into playing pranks when they first met, and the sprite found that Zach - though quiet - was as mischievous as he. He could prank with the best of them, and he had brilliant ideas. He smirked when Zach mentioned his plan, and gave him a thumbs up. It was all the answer Zach would need to know that Nico thought his idea was great!

He went along with farce, 'taking' what Zach pretended to give him. "Yeah yeah, I'll hold it. But I'm not waiting for your ass." It was all part of the act they were putting on for the girls before he made a mad dash toward a cluster of bushes. Nico made sure to hide quietly amongst the evergreen needles, and he made sure that he didn't step on any dry twigs that would give away his position. He was right alongside the path that would lead to the camp ground for the night, and the girls would definitely pass by his spot. When they did he would strike, and it would be the funniest thing ever!

Adrienne laughed along with Umeko, smirking when she repeated her new friend. "Hell yeah girls rule!" It was a throwback to her days in middle school, but she loved it. She was having more fun than she imagined which was saying a lot since camping was one of Adrienne's most favorite activities. It just proved that Umeko added to the overall fun atmosphere, and Adrienne had no problem dragging her along for all of their outings.

She saw Zach making his way back toward them after he handed Nico something in the darkness. The lycan was suspicious, knowing the boys all to well to trust the scene presented to them. "I think they're playing a trick on us," Adrienne whispered to Umeko. "Let's play along for now, but be on the lookout for Nico. He might try to jump out at us at any minute."

Adrienne put on a bright, smiling face for Zach as he approached acting as if nothing was wrong in the least. "Got tired of carrying the lanterns, huh?" She grinned a little and shook her head. "Here, I'll hook them up for you. You go on ahead fearless boyfriend of mine." She leaned in and planted a peck on his cheek before she shooed him ahead. "Don't worry, we'll catch up." She stole at glance over at Umeko, winking at the girl to indicate that this was all a part of their plan to prank the boys.

Umeko was dying to see what trick the boys had scammed up for her and Adrienne, so there was no way in hell she was going to let them know she wasn’t going to buy into it. She would easily oblige to Adrienne’s comment about them playing dumb. It was better to see what Zach and Nico did. Then she could laugh because she was sure she could come up with a prank ten times better. She was Umeko after all. In fact, Umeko was sure she was going to pull off something of her own during this camping trip. It just wouldn’t be the same if an epic prank wasn’t pulled off. But for now, she would take the part of the victim of a prank. It would give her a reason for payback.

She walked behind of the boys just as Adrienne did and winked at her in return. “Hmm..I wonder just how good they will be at this.” She questioned to Adrienne silently, putting her hands behind her back to further make her walk innocent. “I bet those boys would be so scared to walk in the dark if we weren’t along. I think their testosterone level hikes to high heaven when they know they have girls they need to so-called ‘protect’. But if they were alone with just each other..i think they would be shaking in their boots.”

"Yeah, I don't like lanterns hanging from my butt," Zach said, smiling at Adrienne as she offered to take them. He handed them over to her, blushing a little in the darkness as Adrienne kissed his cheek in front of Umeko. He leaned in to give Adrienne a quick kiss on the cheek as well. "Alright, I'll get back up there and keep an eye on Nico," he said, lifting an eyebrow. "You know how he is when he isn't give any guidance." Zach rolled his eyes and shook his head, waving at the two of them as he made his way back to the front. Zach took out his flashlight and turned it back on, shining it onto their surroundings. Yep, Nico had made a run for it. Zach grinned to himself and quickly removed the look from his face to replace it was false panic.

"Nico?" he called out loudly, moving his head around with the beam of the flashlight, as if he were trying to look for something and wasn't having much luck. "Nico, where'd you go, man?" The beam of Zach's flashlight swung around, continuing to cover more area. "Nico, man, c'mon and answer me! Where are you? I know you're out there!" Of course, it was all a part of the act to the scare the girls. Pretend Nico went missing when he was really just hiding. Zach couldn't help but think his little plan was going to be hilarious.

"Oh but you have such a cute butt!" Adrienne teased. It was fun being playful with Zach as it reminded her of the time when they first met. They always flirted with each other and that was one of the things that sometimes got thrown to the wayside when people became involved. She was glad that it hadn't 'gone out of style' with her and Zach, and that they weren't too shy to do it in front of other people.

She nodded when he mentioned keeping an eye on Nico, and watched with amusement as he walked back to the front. Adrienne knew that the boys were up to something, and her suspicions were confirmed when Zach called out for Nico. Apparently, he had gone missing. Adrienne rolled her eyes and moved to stand near Umeko.

"Do they think we're stupid?" She laughed under her breath and then whispered to her new friend. "Let's go along with it. Act like we don't suspect anything. Oh oh! I know..." She leaned in closer. "You should run up there like you're worried, and I'll sneak around behind those trees there to see if I can sniff Nico out." Adrienne couldn't help the giggles that were coming from her even though she tried her hardest to contain them.

"He's probably going to try to scare you, and when he does I'll totally come up from behind and scare them. Do you think that'll work? Or maybe I should get in front of the trail and jump out..." The lycan tapped her chin thoughtfully. "What do you think?"

Umeko could give herself credit for being good at convincing people she was being serious when panicked, worried, that sort of thing. So, she guessed she could have been a good actor. Too bad Elysium wasn’t going to have a theatre. It would have been fun. She could play the damsel in distress. NAH! She could be the one to cause the damsels to be in distress. But for right now, on to being worried! She winked towards Adrienne and bumped shoulders with her before she walked ahead of her cautiously.

“…Guys?” Umeko asked meekly. Oh, she couldn’t wait for Nico to get scared. “..You win okay? I sometimes HATE it when I don’t know where people are. Plus, we can play games when we find a good place to camp.” Umeko innocently suggested. She quickly looked over a rock where she thought Nico would be. He wasn’t there? Damn! It was a good place to hide too! Maybe he was there then retreated to another hiding spot.

“Nico? Come on! Come out, come out wherever you areee!” She kicked at various places ahead of her and tried to find where Nico just may be.

Nico thought he was oh so smart. He thought that the girls had actually fallen for the act that he and Zach had put on, and he thought for sure that he was going to be scaring them tonight. It was all too perfect with the way Zach went on, calling out for him while shining his flashlight around. He kept calling, too, as if he didn't know a damn thing about the plan to scare the girls. Nico would have to give Zach some major props later for putting on a good show.

He didn't have to wait long before Umeko appeared on the path. She sounded so scared, and she seemed so jittery from what he could tell. She didn't like this game, or so she said, and Nico couldn't help but grin evilly. This was too perfect, and his chest shook with silent laughter. Oh there was no way in hell that he was going to wait to play games when they reached the camp ground, he was going to have his fun now.

"Boo!" He yelled out loud just as he jumped out from his hiding spot on the left side of the trail. He landed a few steps behind Umeko, but he was still close enough to reach out his arms and grab her sides. "Haha! Gotcha!" The sprite said triumphantly before he pulled Umeko close to hug her from behind. "Zach, bro! Get over here!" He was laughing so hard that he could barely talk. "Oh man, did you see the look on her face? It was gold! I got her so good." Nico didn't even stop to wonder why Adrienne wasn't around, not suspecting in the least that the girls had something up their sleeves as well.

Zach heard Nico when he bust out from the bushes and yelled 'boo' at one of the unsuspecting girls. Most likely, it was Umeko. Zach sometimes doubted Adrienne fell for their games anymore, especially since she knew that they did them all of the time. Adrienne knew how to sniff out their plans and put an end to them, which wasn't always fun but taught them to include her more often than to play the joke on her.

He burst out laughing silently, bending over slightly to grab his stomach. Man, if only he had been right there to actually see the look on her face. It would have been priceless. Zach made his way back over to the group, laughing out loud by this point, his flashlight waving all over the ground as it just dangled from his hand. "Oh, man," Zach said. "You fell for it!" He glanced around then, noticing Adrienne wasn't anywhere to be found. Zach swung his flashlight around a few times, looking for her without avail.

"Hey, guys, where's Adrienne?"

Nico was so caught up with jumping out and 'scaring' Umeko, that he didn't even notice that Adrienne wasn't around. The lycanthrope had purposefully stayed behind just so she could find a round-a-bout way to the rest of the group. Nico and Zach thought they were so good at this pranking stuff that they completely underestimated the girls.

Adrienne was careful as she stepped through the forest. She wasn't afraid to travel at night - she was used to it by now considering all of the camping trips she had been on. Not to mention heightened eyesight made it easier to see in the dark. The lycan was careful not to make a sound even though the sound of laughter from Zach, Nico, and Umeko would mask any rustling she made. The werewolf had traveled far enough to get around her friends and placing her in a spot that would allow her to jump out at both Nico and Zach.

And she did, with a very loud "Boo!", one that rivaled even Nico's. The sprite was the first to jump, letting out a loud yell of surprise. He squeezed Umeko a little bit, and then gave Adrienne a look of disgust. Adrienne beamed proudly, and moved to put her arms around Zach. "I think me and Umeko did good, don't you think?" She winked over at Umeko and smiled, loving that she got along so well with Nico's new girlfriend.

Umeko screamed so loud she probably got bats to come out of the caves. She gave Nico a scolding look that quickly faded before she punched his arm. “Meanie! You’re lucky that I won’t beat you up!” She stuck out her tongue playfully before she sighed to admit. “That was good though, if I was on the winning end I would probably be laughing so hard I would almost be peeing myself.” The therianthrope was a good sport and after her heart stopped thumping she even began to chuckle a bit.

It was a good distraction since Adrienne was able to avenge Umeko's scaring. Umeko then began to laugh hysterically before she gave Nico a comforting hug. “Aww come on! It was hilarious! Now you got to see what it was like for me.” She turned towards Adrienne with her hands on her hips. “Good job girl!”

Hooking her arm in Nico’s she walked ahead of Adrienne and Zach. “Psst, I say you and I have a truce. There is no way I can sleep in fear that you may stick a bug down my underpants.” She would have added “If I wear any at night” but instead she simply smirked brightly before turning towards Zach and Adrienne.

“Alright guys! Let’s get to camping!”

Setting Up Camp! Part Deux

Once they arrived at their final location, the group picked a place sheltered by the fallen rocks of ancient buildings to set up their tents. A nice fire was roaring outside of their tents. It was enclosed in a rock circle they set up around the burning logs. Everyone was bundled up in the warmest nightclothes they managed to bring along, having already switched into their pajamas for the night. They sat outside of the tents, wrapped up in blankets and roasting marshmallows over the fire.

Zach shared a blanket with Adrienne, considering he wasn't about to share one with Nico or Umeko. Sharing one with Nico was out of the question since he was a guy, and sharing one with Umeko would just be awkward. Besides, Nico and Umeko could share a blanket. Zach smirked to himself as he thought about forcing them to share a tent as well. He wasn't sure how close they were exactly yet, but surely the idea of sharing a tent this early had to make them nervous. Of course, no one knew yet who was sleeping in what tent. They hadn't decided that yet.

"Adrienne, it's cold," Zach pretended to whine. He looked over at her, making a puppy dog face at her. "I think you should sit in my lap. I'd be so much warmer." He liked to flirt with her and tease her as much as they used to do when they first met.

The spot that she and Zach had scouted seemed even more perfect now that they were actually camping there. The stable rubble of fallen buildings provided excellent shelter from the wind, and created a cozy atmosphere as the light of the camp fire danced along the partially intact walls. Adrienne was, as usual, sharing a blanket and tent with Zach. She wouldn't have minded sharing a tent with Umeko, but she really wanted some quality time with Zach; besides, Umeko and Nico were so cute together. Surely they wouldn't mind sharing especially since it was obvious that they liked each other.

The werewolf turned toward her boyfriend just in time to see his puppy dog face. She really didn't stand a chance when he used it on her - it was just so freaking adorable! She tried to resist, giving him doubtful looks as if she didn't believe him. "Admit it," she said with a smirk. "You just want to cop a feel." Despite Adrienne's words she still crawled into Zach's lap, pulling his arms over her middle so they could snuggle. "I'm just doing this to keep you warm," she joked. "So no funny business, got it?" Adrienne leaned to the left a little to look at Zach over her shoulder. She made a kissy face at him before she turned around again. The lycan was settled pretty comfortably in her boyfriend's lap, though she had to admit that being so close to him started to give her some interesting thoughts for what they could do later on.

"God, get a room you two," Nico said jokingly as he tossed a small twig in Zach and Adrienne's direction. The sprite loved his friends dearly, but there were times when they were completely unbearable with all their lovey-dovey... stuff. This wasn't one of those times since he could tell they were being overly flirty with one another, but still, it made things just a little more awkward on his and Umeko's side of things. Sure, Nico wanted to cuddle up with her, or hold her hand if she didn't want to cuddle, but now it almost felt obligatory with the way Zach and Adrienne were going on.

He glanced over at the therianthrope, offering her a smile as he passed her the marshmallow he had been roasting. The only way Nico knew how to deal with the situation were through mocking jokes directed at Zach and Adrienne. Maybe Umeko would play along - knowing what he did know of her he was fairly certain she would.

"Hey Umeko," he said mimicking Zach's voice. "It's cooolllddd. I think you should come sit with me so we can be disgustingly cute. And if you're lucky, you can meet Little Nico - well, you could meet him if you sat in my lap." He waggled his eyebrows at her, and blew kisses in her direction. Nico tried to stifle the laughter growing in his chest, but it was futile. He chuckled as he spoke while his hand patted his knee to invite Umeko over toward him and his extra large blanket.

Boy Zach and Adrienne really were sugary sweet. If she put them in her mouth they would taste sweeter then the marshmallow she plucked from Nico. Man, that sounded so weird, even when she repeated it three times in her head. But she was sure there was some spice and everything nice involved in there too. “Hey, these marshmallows are pretty friggin good!”

When Nico invited Umeko to sit on his lap, she gave him a cheeky stare then a following look stating that she was hardly going to say no. “You know. Who says little Nico is necessary little?” She asked, sticking out her tongue. She made loud kissy noises back towards his direction before she hopped his way and had no problem sitting in Nico’s lap.

She drew the blanket over the two of them to ensure that both of them could get warmth. “You know. I don’t even want to know what they are thinking about doing once it’s time to sleep." Umeko looked towards Nico, her rosy face looking up at the half sprite.

"I can't promise I won't try to cop a feel," Zach said, holding his hand up as if he were pledging to something. He grinned as Adrienne sat down in his lap, turning to make a face at Nico as his best friend called out for them to get a room. "Oh, but I enjoy making you squirm uncomfortably!" Zach called back, wrapping his arms around Adrienne's waist. He laughed as he heard Nico talking loud enough for Zach to hear, mocking what Zach had only said just moments before. He heard what came out of Umeko's mouth next, though. It was so quiet out here, it was hard not to. "I heard that!" Zach said, sticking out his tongue at Umeko.

"If you guys are afraid of what we'll do, we can always switch tents. I mean, there's three ways we can pair up." Zach let out a little laugh. "Man, that sounds naughty. My mind is officially in the gutter thanks to my girlfriend." He laid his head against her back and stared forward at the fire. "Psst, Adrienne, pass me a marshmallow."

Adrienne held onto Zach's arms as they wrapped around her body. She snuggled into him, the warmth from his body was enough to fend off the chilled night air. The banter around the camp fire was something that Adrienne missed hearing, and she was glad that they were able to do so on this trip. "If you're gonna cop a feel, then make sure it's a good one." She turned to give him a quick peck on the lips before she turned her attention to Nico and Umeko.

"Ew, we don't need to hear any more about little Nico," Adrienne said with a laugh. "Keep that to yourselves." She stuck her tongue out at them as she turned her marshmallow over to roast the other side. She laughed at her boyfriend's words, nudging him in the tummy gently. "Hey, I'm not pairing up with anyone except you," she said to Zach. "Though..." she tapped her chin thoughtfully before she plucked the marshmallow from her stick to feed it to Zach. "I think me and Umeko could stay together in a tent. I mean, she is awfully cute."

Adrienne winked at Umeko, hoping that the girl would play along with her joke. "And I bet she's got really soft skin."

Nico was pleasantly surprised when Umeko hopped into his lap. He wasn't complaining though as he wrapped his arms around her middle. He leaned forward to rest his chin on her shoulder, blowing cool air against her neck and ear. He was happy that both Zach and Adrienne were getting along with Umeko. For the first time in a long time, Nico found someone that he honest to goodness liked. He wanted to get to know the therianthrope, and he wanted to spend time with her in order to do so.

"I know exactly what they're going to do tonight," Nico said as he looked at Umeko. She was so damn cute that he couldn't help but lean in to give her a quick kiss on the lips. "Don't let their innocent looks fool you," he said with a smirk. "Those two are a couple of hornballs. I swear I hear the squeaking of the bed frame every night in our cottage." He mimicked the sound of a squeaky bed before he burst out in laughter. Tonight was too much fun, and with Umeko on his side, he finally had a partner that could join in on the teasing.

Umeko made a pleasant sound when Nico kissed her and she scooted closer to him, letting the blanket grant them more warmth. “You know, if their squeaking bed is repetitive you should invite me over and we could bust a rhyme to their squeaking.” She leaned in close to him to whisper. “Or you know, we could jump on the bed and take their stuff and run as fast as we can. Any form of creative embarrassment would be quite amazing.”

She turned towards him so she could make pouty lips. “But you poor baby, you are stuck having to deal with two humpsters. My cottage is all lonely. Feel free to stop by. I’ll make you some hot cocoa and free you of having to find your own personal ear plugs.”

God, her cottage was a little embarrassing. It was Hello Kitty decked out too the extreme. But whatever, that kitty was her hero and Nico would have to learn how to love her. That and all her Final Fantasy shit. At least she didn’t have barbies or anything too embarrassing.

After some time had passed of equal chattering amongst the group, Zach finally decided to announce it was bedtime. He made a false yawn, bringing his fist to his face. "I think we should tuck in for the night," he said, patting Adrienne's leg to suggest for her to move over to the side or stand up to free him from the confines of her booty. Not that he minded, of course. Adrienne had a very nice booty. He ate his final marshmallow, and knelt towards the fire once Adrienne had gotten up. Zach began to put it out, since letting the fire burn overnight wouldn't be very smart. Besides, they had tents and blankets to keep warm.

Everyone helped clean up and put things away, dispersing to their tents for the night. Zach wasn't actually tired, but it put on a good rouse for Umeko and Nico to assume. Once night rolled around, Zach liked to spend quality time with his girlfriend, even if Nico and Umeko were nearby. It wasn't like they couldn't at least make out for a while! Zach didn't see anything wrong with that. He wasn't going to have sex with her way out here with the others listening in (that would be awkward beyond explanation), but there wasn't anything wrong with kissing.

"Goodnight, guys!" Zach called out to Nico and Umeko. He sneaked into his and Adrienne's tent, sliding into the single large sleeping bag they shared together. After all, they were both little enough to fit inside of it. He waited for Adrienne, eyes peeled on the tent's opening in the darkness.

The cold night air made Adrienne want to cuddle up with Zach within the confines of their tent. As much fun as she was having with Nico and Umeko, just talking and eating marshmallows, she was definitely ready to turn in when Zach made the suggestion. She nodded her head in approval, and moved off of Zach's leg so he could start cleaning up. She helped picked up their things, and made sure there weren't any stray embers that could start a fire.

And she couldn't help but have the same thoughts that Zach did. There wasn't anything wrong with making out and cuddling in the privacy of their own tent. "Goodnight!" She said with a mischievous little smile before she followed Zach into their tent. There was no question now about who would be sharing a tent with whom. It was paired up by couples: Zach and Adrienne, and Nico and Umeko. Adrienne wondered if Nico would make a move on Umeko, and if she and Zach would be hearing noises from their tent instead of the other way around.

She entered the tent, smiling when she saw that Zach had already slipped into the sleeping bag. Adrienne closed the zipper behind her, and then hurried over toward him. She slid into the bag, and zipped up her side before she cuddled close to the alchemist. Their faces were almost touching, and Adrienne pressed her forehead to Zach's. "So, Mr. Kitano - what are we going to do for the rest of the night, hm?"

Adrienne rubbed her nose against Zach's, and then kissed his lips chastely. She was being coy, but she knew he liked it.

Nico rolled his eyes at Zach's declaration that it was bedtime. He nudged Umeko lightly, and nodded his head toward the other couple. "You know you just want to make out with Adrienne!" He said out loud, snickering under his breath all the while. "At least out here I won't hear the squeaking of a bed while you two go at it." Nico started laughing harder, and patted Umeko's leg a little to get her to stand up. The sprite started cleaning up his area as well, preparing to settle down for the night with Umeko.

He leaned into the therianthrope after Zach disappeared into the tent, whispering into her ear. "I guarantee they're going to make out tonight," he said with a snicker. "We'll definitely hear it. And when we do, we'll mock them. Make noises of our own."

Nico wasn't really suggesting that he and Umeko make out. Sure, he wanted to, but he also didn't want to pressure the girl into doing something she didn't want to do. He liked her enough to respect her, which was something he wouldn't have done with a girl he just wanted to fuck. The sprite bounced his eyebrows at Umeko to show his playfulness, and then made his way to the tent.

"Goodnight, hornballs," he said to Zach and Adrienne before he disappeared into the tent. He and Umeko were not sharing a sleeping bag, and thankfully their tent was big enough for the both of them. But, Nico made sure that he had brought his big sleeping bag along, just in case she wanted to cuddle with him sometime during the night.

“NIGHT YOU BUNNIE BALLS!” Umeko shouted after Adrienne and Zach. She shook her head while she ran a hand through her slightly messy hair. She knew she didn’t have to impress Nico with the way she looked. Not to mention, her twig stained hair fit the whole nature look.

“You know..” Umeko began, following after Nico into the tent. She began to set down her own sleeping bag and set her hands into her back pocket giving the water sprite a faux innocent smile. “Who says our noises have to be fake?” She wiggled her brows and sauntered to the other side of her sleeping bag to tidy it up. “But we better watch out. We don’t know what company we are keeping.” The Therianthrope pointed out teasingly. “The last thing we want to do is attract giants or something am I right?”

She quickly sauntered over to Nico to kiss him on the lips before she tip toed to her side of the tent. “Feel free to misbehave. Either way, goodnight Nico. Tonight has been fun.”

Zach returned the chaste kiss from Adrienne, smiling into it as he did so. She had rubbed her nose against his own, a common sign of affection between them, and Zach cuddled close to his girlfriend in the shelter of their tent. It was still kind of cold, but it wouldn't take long for them to warm up underneath the covers with each other huddled together in one sleeping bag. Zach wrapped his arms around Adrienne's waist and laid another chaste kiss upon her lips as he hummed in a thoughtful manner. "Maybe we should let the other two get to sleep before we do anything," he joked with Adrienne, mostly being teasing with her. "After all, you can get pretty . . . vocal."

Zach snickered at his own joke and entangled his legs comfortably with Adrienne's inside of the sleeping bag. He leaned in slowly this time, his soft chuckles fading off, as he placed a real kiss to her lips this time. Who wouldn't want to make out with their girlfriend if they were lying down together like this? Zach was just like any other normal guy, and even if he had to push other ideas out of his head, he wasn't going to forgo some kissing and touching with Adrienne tonight. Well, at least if they were quiet about it all. He couldn't imagine how awkward it would have been if Nico and Umeko heard them and made fun of them the next day and for weeks to come.

Their kissing grew a little more serious inside the shelter of their tent, and they had no idea of Nico and Umeko's possible plan to mock the two of them (or thoroughly embarrass them) sometime during the night.

Adrienne wasn't complaining about the close proximity between herself and her boyfriend. Their kisses, though playful at first, were becoming a little more heated as the moments passed. Her hands roamed over his body, enjoying the warmth that he emitted. Things were indeed getting more heated within their tent, and Adrienne couldn't help the small giggles that were passing over her lips.

"Zach," she said softly, though considering how quiet the wilderness was tonight their camp mates could probably hear them. "Mmm... come closer," she urged him in the darkness as her hands slipped beneath his shirt. Adrienne wasn't aware of what Nico and Umeko were planning, but she wouldn't have been surprised if they had. Still, it wasn't on the girl's mind as she got more and more into making out with her boyfriend.

She wound a leg around his body, pulling him closer until he was on top of her, kissing vigorously. Noises could probably be heard now, or at least the shuffling of their sleeping bag as they moved around within it.

Umeko's comment brought a smile to Nico's face. It wasn't often that the sprite met a girl who was cute, interesting, and was into making out as much as he was. He wouldn't mind making real noises with Umeko, if that's what she wanted. "If we're loud enough to bring giants out of the woodwork, then we did something right." He put an arm around her when she came up to kiss him, and returned her kiss.

"Tonight was fun," he said with a grin. "And it could be more fun later." He bounced his eyebrows at her before he moved to settle in his sleeping bag. He and Umeko weren't sharing one sleeping bag like Zach and Adrienne were, but at least he was pretty darn close to Umeko. "You know," he said to Umeko after she got into her sleeping bag. "We gotta keep an ear open for those hornballs over there."

It wasn't long afterwards that Nico heard a giggle coming from the other side of the campsite. He nudged Umeko gently, and decided to get her attention by leaning in to kiss her neck. "Hey, c'mon... we have to be louder!" Nico started making noises in the tent he shared with Umeko, fake noises for the moment.

"OH UMEKO! YES! RIGHT THERE! YOUR HANDS ARE SO SOFT!" He had to keep himself from laughing since it was just so damn funny to tease the other couple. He continued with his noises, over-exaggerated moans and groans and gasps, coupled with random shaking of the tent. It was enough to make anyone laugh, if they were there to witness the act.

“Tonight was really fun.” Umeko agreed. Meeting Nico has just gotten better and better. First she got to scare him as a panda, then there was the romantic lunch, then she got to camping with him and met his friends and now..

Umeko let out a snort. “Jesus. These two could have sex during a tornado if their hormones hit the right spot.” She teased all the while moving as close as she could to Nico while making over the top sex noises. “THAT’S IT!! OH GOD, OH GOD!! PLEASE DON’T STOP!!” She held Nico’s wrists seeing if she could fit her small fingers around the area and drew him towards her lips to silent their fake sex noises for a moment before she broke the kiss.

Bringing him to the ground with her she smirked. “Now come on and let’s make our own sex noises. Let’s show them who’s boss.” She turned to Zach and Adrienne’s tent then back towards Nico before she dragged the half Water Sprite on top of her with a giggle.

“IF THE TENTS-A ROCKIN’ DON’T COMA KNOCKIN!!”
