Who: Asa and Zach
When: Late Afternoon
Where: Near the Fresh Food Pavilion
What: Zach's been imp'd!

Asa glanced over at the Fresh Food Pavilion casually before she passed the scolding eye of one of the workers. Moments before Hewie had caused a fuss and knocked over a few fruits and vegetables. Of course, this was all her doing. In the meantime she set in some tomatoes she painted over with red paint and hot sauce, placed in some oranges she painted over with orange paint and took out some regular apples and placed them with ceramic ones. The difference was hard to tell by looking and now she had herself some delicious apples. Never underestimate a dog for an accomplice.

The imp walked away from the Pavilion and bit into an apple but stayed close wondering if someone would either fall victim to tasting a tomato or orange or be dense enough to try out the ceramic apple. On the plus side, the ceramic apple was a free gift. They looked nice if she could say so herself. On the negative side, if someone amused her by giving into her prank and they caught sight of her, she would have to make a dash for it.

Zach was out picking up a few things at the fresh food pavilion for the kitchen since the cupboards and stuff were getting kind of bare. He and Nico didn't cook much, not being much of cooks, but Zach liked to think he could at least shop for food. He actually wasn't so bad at it. He was especially good at picking out things that didn't need preparation, like many of the fruits currently on display. He wondered how long they would have fruits in Elysium since it was fall season, and winter was soon coming. These were definitely the last of the fruits.

He had accidentally picked up some of the ceramic apples and oranges, not really feeling them as he should since he just snagged a bunch in his hands and dropped them in the basket. However, the weight dropped from his hands into the basket caused the ceramic apples he'd snagged up to break and shatter in the basket. Zach jumped back, surprised at the sound he heard. "What the . . . "

Glancing down, Zach examined the basket and noticed the ceramic apples now broken at the bottom. Frowning, he stood up and looked around. Someone had just pulled a fast one, Zach knew it. After all, he used to pull pranks himself back in the day. All he need to see was if someone started running or was looking right at him. He'd show them a thing or two.

When Asa had saw someone had fallen for her trick she smiled and made a soft giggling noise. She would have let her brain judge that he was a typical stupid human that had easily been tricked often, but she let herself sway a little from the thought. But she still thought he was stupid. If only he could find that missing screw in his brain. Maybe it was inside that ceramic apple he cracked.

The imp tried to pull off the ‘casual walk away’ escape. She gripped tightly on Hewie’s leash to signal him to walk with her slowly, casually as if she just happened to be there and was walking away. When she thought she was a free imp, she started to jog towards the ceramics shop with a smile on her face.

“Come on Hewie!” She whispered, moving faster towards her destination. She tried not to grin, but she was smiling ear to ear.

As he glanced around his surroundings, he spotted a smiling girl with wings walking away and tugging at her dog's leash. The suspicious behavior prompted Zach to start walking towards her. Before he could call out to her to get her attention, she started hurrying away in a jog. Zach couldn't help but suspect her as a guilty party with that move, and he began to quickly jog after her. Forget the basket of broken ceramic apples, he was going after the prankster woman who thought she could get a one up on somebody!

Of course, he didn't really know it was her, but that didn't stop him from chasing after her to find out. "Hey, you!" he hollered out. "You with the dog! Stop!" He was definitely running after her now in an attempt to catch up. She had been pretty far enough away from the stands of fresh food for her to get a head start in front of him.

While he didn't know for sure that it was her, he was pretty convinced since no one else was looking suspicious at the moment he glanced around and she took off. Man, he was going to catch up with her. What he was going to do when he got there, he didn't rightly know.

Oh, it wasn’t going to end with her getting caught. Or so the imp claimed so in her mind. If Asa did get caught though, it wasn’t going to be without a memorable challenge. Along the way she knocked over various objects such as brooms and other objects of the sorts that the stranger could trip on. It would give her more distance between her and the stranger.

Of course she could sick the dog on him but then she could possibly lose Hewie because the dog’s leash could get caught around the stranger. So, running and making him play Crash Bandicoot looked like the best option.

When She ran into the ceramics shop , she quickly hid into a very discreet cabinet. All that could be seen was Hewie in the middle of the room looking innocent and uninvolved. If Asa heard the stranger in the room, she would give him the scare of a lifetime by sicking the dog on him. That would either cause her to stay and laugh, or run again.

It was a long run through the market place from the fresh food pavilion to the Ceramics Shop, which was her final destination. Zach kept calling out to her, but with no avail. The girl wouldn't answer him! Zach saw her dash into the Ceramics Shop and quickly followed suit, nearly skidding inside past the open doors. Her dog was sitting in the middle of the store, looking up at Zach and trying to act innocent. Zach gazed around the shop and didn't see anyone. "I know she's in here," he said to himself with assurance. "I saw her come in."

He turned around and saw the mess made on the inside of the shop. Someone working here certainly wasn't going to be happy about the mess to clean up. Of course, Zach didn't know the girl worked here herself and that she would be the one cleaning up the mess.

Considering himself pretty good with cute furry animals, Zach crouched down and tried to look at the dog near eye level. "How are ya, big guy?" He held up his hand at a certain level, which was very short, and began to ask the dog questions. "Did you see a girl about this high run in here with black hair? I'm looking for her. I think I owe her some apples back at the food pavilion. Whaddya say, buddy?" Zach was a harmless looking guy himself. Surely, the dog wouldn't bark at him or think he was trouble.

Asa opened the cabinet cautiously. The last thing she wanted was the sound of the creaking wood to give her away. No, so far her plan was going perfectly. However, she couldn’t help but turn her head slightly with a smile as she watched the stranger treat Hewie so kindly. Though the back of her mind screamed for her to have Hewie knock him over, she decided she would spook him from the cabinets instead. There was no need for Hewie to act unkindly to the mans generosity. Plus, Hewie was the kind of dog that wasn’t nice to everybody.

The imp held her breath for a long moment before she threw open the cabinets and let out a loud BOO! She usually was good at scaring people and she wasn’t sure how this would turn out. She had Hewie, tame as the ocean to distract her attempt so she might have been successful in further making the strangers day..well quite a day!

Zach definitely liked animals, so it was no surprise he was so nice to Hewie. No doubt he would have been surprised if the dog tackled him down or went after him, though. Unless Hewie had been growling from the very beginning at Zach. Yeah, that wouldn't have been a good sign. Luckily, Hewie didn't barrel anyone over without a command and Zach got off easy this time as the owner decided not to give one.

However, that didn't mean she didn't decide something else. The sudden loud clamor of the cabinets flying open scared the crap out of Zach, and he fell back onto his ass and palms at the startling sound. He blinked widely, looking around for the source of the noise that nearly gave him a heart attack, and spotted the girl with wings lurking in the cabinet itself. Zach stared at her like she was crazy. He wanted so badly to ask what was wrong with her, but tried to settle for something less harsh.

His mouth opened and closed a few times in a row like a fish out of water, and finally, he found something to say. "What the hell?" There was a brief pause from Zach. "Is this something you do on a regular basis or something?"

Okay, so it worked! She felt relieved and happy that she prevailed in still scaring others. In truth, she guessed it was all she had to do since she didn’t have all too many friends in the sanctuary. The imp tilted her head in curiosity before she smiled. “You should have seen your face.” She stated calmly. “It was worth it.” She stood several feet away from the stranger to ‘check’ him out. The young man was indeed cute and he seemed a little different than human so she guessed he was tolerable.

“I am sorry” sort of "If I scared you. But believe me at least you didn’t bite into the ceramic apples or anything. People have actually taken a bite of one. Or they have eaten some oranges I have painted over. It’s quite funny.” A smirk arouse from her thick lips. “At least on my end.”

Continuing like nothing happened she walked just a little closer to Zach. “What is your name?” She gave a sigh when she propped herself on a nearby table. "You work in the marketplace?"

Zach sighed and shook his head, pushing himself up to his feet and brushing off the back of his pants. "My face," he said, in a very macho fashion, while pointing at it, "had no look on it." It was just like him to pretend he hadn't just been scared over backwards onto the floor by a girl in a cabinet. That only happened to five-year-olds, yep.

He looked around at his surroundings, taking in the shop. He knew ceramics were make here since it was the ceramics shop, but it didn't look like anybody was cooking anything up right now. He didn't see anyone around but her and the dog. "Sooo," he drawled, "you get a kick out of spooking people." Zach turned to look at her again. He narrowed his eyes. She looked harmless enough, especially with the wings. "You have wings on your back," he suddenly stated, as if he had never seen it before. Actually, he had, but the woman was naked and walking around in the middle of the night and it kind of creeped him out. And he was straight. It wasn't often a naked woman could creep him out.

"Ah, really," Zach said. He wasn't too convinced at the apology, but he didn't really care either. A prank was a prank, and it wasn't a big deal. "Painted oranges? Painted how? I've never heard of that before."

He crossed his arms, stepping forward a little himself. "Zach," he introduced himself. "And no, I don't exactly work here. Not yet, anyway." He nodded his head towards her. "What about you? What's your name?"

“Sure your face had a look to it!” Asa tried to mock it and she looked like a corpse or something. “It was close to that, but of course in a macho…I won’t admit I am scared later..which is..now kind of way.” She moved her hands about as she tried to explain herself.

When Zach spotted out her wings she blinked slowly and rolled her eyes. Eventually she gave Zach a deadpan look. “Gosh, are you the town genius? You know the fact that the wings spring out from my back may have been obvious enough to declare that I have a pair, but I guess not.” It was her way of saying no shit.

“How did I paint the oranges? Well easy really! I made the clay outline of them and then went to the art supply shop to get the paint then painted them the color orange! I set them in the marketplace usually during the night. But if I am feeling really brave, I sneak some in during the day. It’s a fun prank to play. Either people get pissed off or they laugh.”

Asa started playing a bit nicer and gave out her name with a smile. “My name is Asa. You have a cool name. Where do you work? How do you work? Are you always scared so easily with a funny face?”

Zach couldn't help but a laugh a little at her description. Well, she was right, anyway, so there wasn't much point in denying it. Denial would make him look like a big baby. He rolled his eyes a second later, though. "Well, obviously you have wings," he said, "but what are you? I don't remember which species have wings and all . . . " Well, Zach did remember one. He might as well give it a shot. "Are you fae?" he asked.

Aha, so she didn't paint real oranges. She made fake oranges and painted them. That was the impression Zach got from how she explained it to him. "That's really creative," Zach commended her. "I don't think I've ever heard of anyone doing that before. Usually, they toilet paper a house or egg a car."

Zach shook her hand. "Asa, huh? You have a cool name, too. I, uh, I don't work anywhere right now, but I've been thinking about working at The Glassblowers. It looks like a fun job. Something I could be interested in." How do you work was a confusing question, though, and Zach furrowed his brow. "I'm not so sure what you mean with your second question, but no, I am not always scared so easily." He nodded stoutly after announcing the fact.

Asa turned away a bit when she was asked about being a fae. The closest she was to being a fae was terrorizing them. It was quite pleasant thinking about ripping off those so called ‘beautiful wings’. They wouldn’t be so beautiful if there was an unfixable error or so. But on to answering the question in a nice manner with a harmless grin to her face. “I am an imp. We are..not quite the same.” She began. “Let’s just say..if we had a bitch fight, we’d kick their asses.” She stated ever so proudly.

The imp gave a guilty expression. Man, if she got money for every time she did the whole ‘egging the house’ thing she would be a very wealthy imp. Maybe she could take Elysium by storm. “Hey you know. I used to do that stuff all the time. But then I got bored and I wanted to take things to the next level.”

She smiled lightly that Zach liked her name. It was always good to have approval. “Thank you! I like your name too. It’s short and simple..but it fits you!” she complimented. Plus, she could see a cool guy like him working at the glassblowers.

“You should work there at the glassblowers! Believe me it passes the time. When you have been here for so long, you would pelt rocks for forever instead of just sitting around and doing nothing!”

Zach didn't know mentioning faes might strike a chord with her, and he was puzzled by her initial reaction. He kept quiet on the matter, though. Come to think of it, he was familiar with imps as well. He hadn't heard of them as much as fae, and he'd never met one, but he knew they were related somehow. He grinned nonetheless in return. "Well, that's cool. Faes are kind of weird, anyway."

Pranking seemed to be a hobby of hers, and Zach wondered if she'd ever run into Nico yet. The two of them would probably get along great. Nico loved pranking. Then again, so did Loki. "You should meet my friend, Nico.
He loves pulling pranks on people. I've done my fair share, too," he added. He'd orchestrated plenty of those himself.

"Haha, yeah," he said, shaking his head in amusement. "I am short and simple, so I guess it does suit me." Zach wasn't one without a sense of humor, and he could easily poke fun at himself.

It was true. After doing nothing for so long, Zach was beginning to get bored. He had to do something. He nodded his head in agreement, but realized he should probably be getting back now. "Well, you take care, yeah? And tone it down on the pranking, at least when you see me around!" he joked with a laugh.

Zach waved goodbye and headed out of the Ceramics Shop. After all, didn't he leave a basket unattended at the fresh food pavilion? He needed to get back with those ingredients before he was late, and Zach broke off into a run.
