Wednesday: October 3, 2007
Who: Sascha, Daiyu and Jia
When: Early evening
Where: Helicharis
What: Talk about a mental overload! (Can we say fainting spell?)

Sascha was, to put it bluntly, a little terrified.

Throughout the last week or so, and especially over the last few days, Sascha had been experiencing a disturbing kind of mental fogginess that prevented him from being able to concentrate and, at times, even to think at all. The fogginess was generally accompanied by a strange sort of pounding in his skull, although he hesitated to call it a migraine because it didn't usually result in any intense pain. It felt as though all his thoughts had been squeezed into a vice-like grip and then wrapped up in a heavy wet blanket, and the pressure and thickness inside his head kept him from being able to function effectively.

He'd also encountered a few dizzy spells during his more severe bouts of brain mushiness (as the fogginess tended to come and go at random intervals), and even some of the library aides had taken him aside to make sure he wouldn't pass out on any unwitting patrons. Fortunately for him, Rowan had been helping him carry a stack of books down from the second floor when one of the spells hit and had prevented him from tumbling down the stairs with a firm hand on his shoulder.

Sascha had waved off the elf's concern and his suggestion to seek out a doctor at the medical pavillion in favor of taking a cigarette break, and after having a few smokes and a little time to wander outside, most of the mental confusion had cleared up. He'd noticed that tended to happen whenever he took the time to do a little impromptu meditation, or as close as he could get to meditation without actually contemplating anything for very long. All of that "clearing of the mind" stuff basically escaped him, so he tended to mentally recite lines (and sometimes chapters) of text from his favorite novels to make the process go faster- when he could remember them, of course. It was getting harder and harder every day.

But even his half-hearted attempts at meditation weren't cutting it right now. "Fuck, I can't be losing it this soon. I'm only thirty, that's not even middle-aged!" Frustrated didn't even begin to describe how Sascha felt as he stalked through the streets of Helicharis, the thrumming in his ears growing louder as he passed various people along the way. The training session with Irei and Emily the previous night had yielded some strange results, mentally-speaking, and Sascha could feel a knot of dread and panic begin to form in his chest as sudden snippets of voices and conversations began to seep into his mind.

The problem was, nobody around him was talking- out loud, anyway.

"This isn't happening, this can't be happening," he said to himself as he paused at the junction of pathways next to the town hall that led toward the marketplace. He rubbed ferociously at his temples and practically growled in irritation, startling a few passers-by who glanced back at him before continuing on their way. "I talk to dogs, to dogs, not to people. What the hell is happening to me?"

Then another wave of dizziness crashed down on him abruptly, catching him so offguard that he staggered back a few steps and nearly plowed into the person coming up the path in the opposite direction. "Shit," he muttered aloud before a sudden burst of white flared up in his vision and momentarily blinded him. All of the voices suddenly stopped, and there was nothing but darkness as Sascha's knees buckled and he collapsed in the middle of the path, unconscious.

"Dude. Chewbacca is in Star Wars, not Star Trek, Jia. You should stick to watching the Notebook and other movies with storylines only meant to make you cry and believe in true love. Oh yeah, that's right. You'll just have to bury your pretty little nose in romance novels since we're fucked and don't have any television." Her condescending tone was harsh enough to actually leave a mark on her sister. Jia looked over to her bitter half. "You're such a bitch." She stated through a sigh and walked ahead of Daiyu.

Daiyu had no idea why she even bothered to take a walk with her sister. She guessed she had her moments where she wanted to try and get to 'know' the mirror of herself she had grown to dislike when there were more reasons not to hate her. Right now though, she was seeing more of the cons than the pros. In time maybe they could go five minutes without arguing.

"You know, Dante doesn't think so low of me and he barely knows me!" Jia spat out. "AND he's cute!" Daiyu snorted. "Is that some guy you just met? He sounds like a serial killer. Good luck with that one." Seriously? Dante? She thought to herself. It was a bad ass name..But the name Jia and Dante didn't mingle well. Serial killer was overdoing it, but she was trying to prove a point.

When someone almost ran into Daiyu she spun towards their direction and was about to bark a very foul remark. That's when she noticed they suddenly were on the ground. It didn't look like they would be getting up in the next few seconds. "There goes a good insult." She replied with a pout. She then gave a twisted smile. "You think I can scare him?" Jia was already crouched by the stranger,a saddened and curious expression on her face. Daiyu was already rolling her eyes. "Oh god, I can see the trail coming from your bleeding heart. How easy to follow."

The two knelt before what they discovered to be a fairly young man. " He's really cute." Daiyu stated bluntly. "Not so much knocked out cold though." She then proceeded to yell in his ears. "HEY! HEY YOU! YOU'RE ON FIRE!!!" Jia hit her sister to silence her. "Quiet! You're such a brute." Daiyu hit her sister back. "Don't hit me."

Jia calmly reached into her bag to get out some water. "Maybe he is exhausted." She ripped a piece of her skirt off and dampened it with water, placing it on his forehead. "Oh, so for a cute guy, you'll ruin your clothes?" The younger of the two gave an irritated expression.

"Look. You can either be the annoying commentary, or you can lift him up a bit. He shouldn't be just lying here in the middle of the road." So much for her sister saying she wasn't so good at survival skills.

The two for starters moved him to the side of the road and on a patch of grass. "Jia reapplied water to the cloth and put it back on his forehead. "I don't mind slapping him for you if he doesn't wake up." Daiyu stated in an offering tone. Rolling her eyes, Jia sat patiently.

Voices, he could hear voices again. The pounding in his head had only partially subsided, however, and his vision still swam with black as Sascha slowly regained consciousness. He could feel something cool and moist against his forehead, and he groaned as he reached up with one hand to secure the soothing source against his skin, his fingers blindly latching onto Jia's hand in the process. The movement jarred the strand of colorful plastic beads around his wrist- Bella's beads- and he squeezed her hand for reassurance.

"Holy....fuck, my head is exploding," he whined, clenching his eyes shut tighter and slowly rolling onto his side as he tried to will the suffocating pressure away with only minimal success. His shoulder met with something solid, and he gingerly laid his head down on the comfortable surface, oblivious to the fact that it was actually Jia's thigh. Sascha couldn't be bothered to figure that out at the moment, though, as his attention was mainly focused on blazing through the foggy recesses of his mind enough to be able to open his eyes again.

Somehow his mind latched onto an obscure folk song he'd remembered hearing live at a coffee shop or some such place back in Manhattan, and he fervently tried to recite the lyrics in his mind to focus himself. The words wouldn't come without the accompanying tune, though, and he vaguely wondered what kind of a picture he must have made: lying sprawled out on the ground in the middle of Helicharis, humming brokenly (if on-key) and looking either totally strung-out or certifiably insane. He wasn't sure which he would have preferred, honestly, although either option would have been better than this.

Bit by bit, the fog that had settled around his thoughts began to dissipate until only a subtle, smoky haze remained. A strange kind of clarity came over Sascha then, as if he'd had some kind of miraculous awakening or revelation, and he blinked up at his saviors with sleepy brown eyes, his vision partially obscured by the fall of his long, wavy bangs over his forehead. A random slice of previous conversation- if it had been an actual conversation and not something else- came to mind, and he gave a small smile to the faces hovering above him.

"...did I hear something about a fire?"

When the stranger had moved his head to Jia’s thigh, Daiyu couldn’t help but to let her lips form into a sly grin even though the moment wasn’t exactly appropriate. “See? When a man happens to be slightly unconscious, you stand a chance of getting past first base!” The younger of the twins looked away with a heavy blush to her fair skin. All that mattered was he was showing signs of awakening and that alone could drown out any insults her sister could handle to her. Jia gave him a few moments to come back to full consciousness before she asked him if he was alright. It was a fairly dumb question in her mind because if you fell in the middle of the road, clearly there was something wrong.

It was hard to believe the temperaturenwas the culprit because the weather was beginning to show clear signs of autumn. Then again he could be settling into a fever. But if she continued to get so into wanting to know what was wrong, she would never find out by not asking.

“Are you-“

She still couldn’t find it in her to ask. Should she wait a little longer? Daiyu finally was the one to speak up, hovering over him with a grin. “So you heard us a bit eh?” She patted the stranger’s shoulder. “When you almost ran into me, I was about to rip you a new one.” The Asian chuckled. “But I figured passing out wasn’t a usual escape route for avoiding confrontation.” Daiyu made herself comfortable in the grass. “Are you alright? You look like shit.” Jia nudged her sister’s shoulder.

“You were actually in the middle of the road. You just fell. We moved you to the side of the road.” The more delicate of the two smiled shyly. “It’s not like there are cars here to run you over or anything. But we figured we could be of better help here.”

"...I look that good, do I?" Sascha winced a little as he pushed himself into a sitting position, trying to work the kinks out of his neck and finally getting a good look at his saviors. He vaguely remembered nearly running into someone else on the path, but his mind had conveniently blanked out after he'd collapsed into unconsciousness. He'd overheard a few snatches of conversation before regaining full consciousness, that was true, but he was focused more on recovering from the episode than revisiting any particular remarks.

"Sorry about that, ladies," he said with an apologetic smile. "That was kind of a first for me. Not sure I've ever hit the ground that hard before- hope it didn't leave a mark." Sascha had to smooth a few wayward bangs out of his eyes in order to properly see the two women, and despite the strange occurrence that had landed them in the situation (and the fact that he had a few streaks of dirt on his face), he smiled as charmingly as he could manage at them.

"So I see," he said, nodding at Jia's explanation and pressing a hand to his chest in a display of gratitude. "You've got my thanks, believe me. Maybe you two are my guardian angels." He winked at Jia and reached over to pat her knee gingerly. "You make a nice pillow, by the way."

He was about to add another thought when a sudden bark caught their attention, and as if by some sort of illusionary magic, Sweeney suddenly appeared out of a break in the trees. She'd been out visiting her usual haunts in Helicharis for most of the day while Sascha had been working, and although she'd missed his departure from the library at the end of his shift, she'd followed his scent along the usual trails and pathways they took through the town- until a squirrel had distracted her and she'd chased it up a tree in the woods, of course. Tail wagging anxiously, she approached her daddy's prone figure and immediately set to licking his face, a bit of a whine catching in the back of her throat as she sensed the strange mental energy patterns coming from his direction.

For his part, Sascha accepted the kisses with a laugh and an affectionate rub behind her ears. He was definitely still concerned about what had just happened- how could he not be when he'd just passed out in the middle of the road?!- but the mental fog seemed to have passed, and he'd use any available excuse to justify not visiting the Medical Pavilion. He'd just....go tomorrow. Probably. If he had time. Or maybe all of this was just stress-induced and would go away on its own eventually.

"How's that for a hello?" he chuckled as Sweeney turned her attention to their two companions (both of whom were, upon actual inspection, quite pretty, actually), seating herself primly on the ground between them and waiting for attention. "Miss Sweeney's very happy to meet you ladies, as am I." He extended a hand in offering, fully intending to give each woman one of his patented kiss-to-the-knuckles greeting. "Sascha Connolly, certified librarian and dog whisperer. Pleasure's all mine."

Jia was careful to look Sascha over for a moment, and gave her sister a look of warning as she did so. The younger twin of just a few minutes aided the man in brushing his hair aside just to notice what she believed was a bruise. "I..I think I see a bruise near your temple. Head injures can be pretty serious. You should get that checked out." Jia spoke softly, worrying she may be sounding like she was telling the man what to do. "Especially since I am sure we didn't do the best job as far as moving you."

Now that she was real close, she may as well have checked other places since he obviously wasn't the type of man to mind an inspection of the face. "You have some other bruises. Maybe some were from my sister. She may look small. But since you had the misfortune of running into her, I bet you have some memorable marks from your encounter." She may have seemed like she was kidding, but her sister was like a small linebacker. Daiyu didn't even seem to take offense from it. "What can I say. Never underestimate people's appearance."

Jia blushed at Sascha's comment about them being his guardian angels and Daiyu was surprised that she had no witty comeback. She was on a few minutes hiatus, something else would come up later.

Both girls jumped lightly when a dog seemed to come from out of nowhere. Out of instinct, Jia seemed to want to pet the dog without asking. She put her hand out, but then pulled her hand away towards her chest. The last thing she wanted was a dog bite. She already had a moody cat that favored biting and scratching at times. Spike was a sweet cat, but due to what it endured before they found it..it sometimes got a little frantic. "She's beautiful..I love the name!" Jia complimented out loud. "Kick ass dog.." Daiyu confirmed. She was much more cool and collected when complimented things and people. Though she had to admit, she was growing to like Sascha and his dog. Okay.maybe the dog a little more.

Jia went ahead and pet Sweeney while Daiyu inspeced Sascha for a moment after he introduced himself. How the hell was he so charming? Her sister was pretty much lit up like a Christmas tree. If Daiyu stretched her imagination, she would be able to see sparkles and hearts animated around her sister. If Daiyu could psychically pop them, she would. Daiyu didn't even make a sound when Sascha had kissed her hand. Unknown to Sascha, but if it were anyone else, he'd have another bruise to worry about. In fact, he would look like a racoon.

"I'm Daiyu. This here is my sister Jia. We're twins...and..uhm..Psychometrics." She tilted her head. "Dog whisperer? Holy shit. I thought those people were fucken fake. Count on Elysium to reveal the truth." Jia in the meantime was petting Sweeney, adoring the beauty of the dog. Daiyu had a bad feeling that all she would be hearing about was this man and his damn dog.

Sascha felt fingers on his skin for the briefest of moments before one of the girls mentioned something about a bruise, and he raised a hand to press gingerly along the hairline until his own fingers came into contact with the tender flesh. He gave a pained hiss before moving to rub the tense, sore muscles in his neck. "Damn, looks like I did a real number on myself. I'll get it taken care of, don't worry." Meaning, of course, that he'd probably have Irei take a look at it before slapping a bandage over the spot.

The slighter girl seemed to be quite focused on his face, not that he minded; in fact, he was a little flattered at all the attention, and he smiled amusedly at her jab about her sister. "Oh, I'm pretty convinced she could kick my rear all over the place, no doubt about that. I'll be sure to stay on her good side."

Sascha winked playfully up at the other sister before returning his attention to the girl crouched beside him and the attractive flush spreading across her cheeks, unable to resist adding to her gorgeous embarrassment. "You're welcome to look, if you see something you like," he made a broad gesture toward his face for emphasis, "as long as the offer extends both ways." He grinned and made a point of examining her own delicate features for a few moments until Sweeney's unexpected appearance distracted him again.

Both of the girls seemed quite taken with the little mutt, and as she wiggled and squirmed excitedly at all the affection from Jia, Sascha glanced back over at the quieter Daiyu. She seemed to be watching him, although her eyes lacked the same doting, innocent spark her sister's had held only moments earlier. This girl was definitely sizing him up, and he took the opportunity to do the same. She was a tiny little thing, honestly, and had a rough sort of look that set her apart from her sister's softer, more traditionally feminine appearance, but she was still pretty nonetheless. She definitely seemed more defensive than the other girl, at any rate.

Sascha began to rise to his feet in hopes of addressing Daiyu more directly, but apparently the movement was too much for his temporarily weakened sense of balance. He stumbled a bit as another sharp jolt of pain resonated at his temples, throwing one hand out to steady himself as the other pressed firmly against the affected area while he tried to will the pain away. "That...probably wasn't a smart move," he said a little needlessly as he massaged his head, eventually looking up at Daiyu in delayed response.

"A lot of them are fake. I just happen to be the genuine article." He frowned a bit as her statement belatedly registered in his brain. "Psychometrics? Don't think I've met any of those just yet...what exactly does that mean?"

Daiyu pushed Sascha on his rear end, determine to get that man to rest. “You are a stubborn little fuc-“ Jia cut her off with a look begging respect and decided to rephrase the words her sister so unkindly almost used. “You did a good job trying to get up, but you should rest just a little bit longer. Can you tell me what happened?” Of course Daiyu was internally dialoging that it was a reason for them to converse.

The older of the two had to admit, he was her kind of guy. The long hair, bluntly flirtatious, vintage clothes type of dudes. She liked how he seemed to not give a damn about his clothes either. She was the same way. Jia in the meantime was the up close, blushing obvious types. But now really wasn’t the time to think about how hot he was. He was being so damn stubborn. Plus he was a telepath. Canine right? Fuck it..it sure as hell better have been canine.

“So when did you find out you could talk to dogs?” Daiyu asked casually, sitting across Sascha. “By the way, I will hook you to a tree if I have to in order for you to rest for a bit.”

On the topic of them being psychometrics, Jia spoke up. “Well you see, as far as out abilities..all we have to do is touch something that belongs to someone and we can know something personal about them. We don’t have to know them, or we can know a person and know things about them we never knew before. Secrets, things of the past. But they can not be on their body itself.”

Daiyu admitted a look of defeat. “May not be as cool as your power. But, it’s still pretty badass.”

Sascha hadn't quite been expecting the firm shove when it came, and he landed hard on his rear, right back on the ground where he'd started. He wasn't trying to be difficult, he really wasn't; he just wanted to brush off the whole incident and carry on with life, even though he knew this obviously wasn't something he should take lightly. It didn't seem that his lovely companions were going to let him forget it, either.

"Don't worry about me, Miss Jia," he returned as smoothly as he could manage with the light throbbing still in his temples. "I must have just gotten a little...overwhelmed. Lots of things on my mind right now." Well, it wasn't exactly a lie- there had been a lot of things on his mind recently. Of course, there always seemed to be a lot on his mind, and it had never landed him flat on his back before now; whatever was happening to him mentally was beginning to take a physical toll on the rest of his body as well. No sense in worrying these perfectly generous strangers about his odd condition, though.

"Never been leashed before- might as well not start now. I promise I won't move," he added with a reassuring smile as he looked over at Daiyu. "As for the whole talking to dogs mess...I've known since I was a kid, really. I'd always liked being around other people out walking their dogs, but I didn't know exactly what was going on until I started volunteering at an animal shelter. Took a while for me to figure out that not everyone had the same kind of link that I did to the animals; it was like we just naturally understood each other. Freaked the hell out of a few people, though." He smiled a little nostalgically at the memory and absent-mindedly stroked along Sweeney's coat. "Sweeney's the only dog that's ever been mine, ironically. I couldn't keep one on the campus while I was growing up."

Sascha glanced over at the sisters as they elaborated on the nature of their powers, his interest growing with each passing minute. Sure, his abilities were pretty damn awesome, but he was always amused to hear people think so little of their own powers when such things were, in fact, totally incredible. "I may need to see this in action to really appreciate it," he murmured, hesitating for just a moment before carefully removing the beaded bracelet from his wrist and offering it out to the pair. "Come on now, ladies. Show me what you've got."

Jia gave a hesitant stare towards Daiyu who without a second thought took the bracelet. “I..I have to warn you, we can’t control what we know.” The younger of the two warned. “If it is offensive, we mean no offense towards you.” Jia had more of a hard time dealing with what she saw than Daiyu. Long ago Daiyu found out about her abilities. It was Jia who panicked about her ability at an older age and begged Daiyu to teach her how to control it.

Both of them held on to each side of the bracelet and ran their hand across the beads to see if they could get anything. Jia was good at knowing personal things about someone, Daiyu was good at both, but could work on getting the past knowledge while Jia worked on personal things. The more spunky of the two could work with distractions, Jia got distracted easily.

There was a long amount of silence before Jia was the first to look down. She set her hands on her lap and fumbled her fingers. “You never go anywhere without it. I could be wrong, but sometimes it makes you very sad to look it. A lot of fond but painful memories come from something as simple as this bracelet.” She bit the side of her lip. “Because it was made by your daughter.”

Daiyu was able to finish the sentence with a little more ease. “..and she is dead, correct?” It was somewhat fuzzy on how she died but Daiyu could tell it was a tragedy that was highly publicized on the news. “Your wife as well?” It finally struck her how the two had died after a few moments of what felt like painful silence. “Six years ago this necklace meant a whole shitload more didn’t it?”

Jia carefully handed the bracelet back to Sascha and gave Daiyu a slight push of the shoulder. “Even after six years, it’s hard to forget the loss of a loved one. I’m really sorry.”

For the first several moments after they'd spoken, Sascha could only stare on in mute fascination. It seemed almost impossible that they could know such intimate details about his life from a simple string of plastic beads, but...there it was, just like they'd said. And he wasn't terribly sure how to respond to the situation, either.

"I'd say it still means quite a bit," he said softly, his attention riveted to the bracelet as Jia handed it back to him. "Now the meaning is just...different." Sascha felt as though something were stuck in his throat, and he avoided eye contact with either of the women as he carefuly looped the bracelet back around his wrist. It had been six years, this was true, and even though he'd finally begun the slow healing process, the memories still had a distinct sting to them. He'd never really be over the loss of his wife and child, he was thoroughly convinced of this; hopefully, though, he could come to accept it enough that the pain wouldn't feel quite so sharp. Even now, it felt far less excruciating than it had on the anniversary of that fateful day only weeks prior.

The worst of the moments had passed, and when Sascha looked back up at the twins, there was a gentle smile on his face. "There's nothing to be sorry about, Miss Jia. It's not something you really can forget- just something you have to learn to live with." He jangled the bracelet on his wrist a bit. "I helped Bella make it since she was too small to do it on her own. It's amazing that you two could know that just from touching it. Color me impressed. That's actually how I met my roommate, you know. He's a necromancer who gave me the chance to say good-bye to my girls."

Sweeney chose that moment to intervene by letting out a pitiful-sounding whine and nosing at Daiyu's arm as though to say, Don't forget about me! Sascha laughed and shook his head. "Miss Sweeney obviously doesn't like being ignored. We're not keeping you ladies from anything, are we?"

Jia gave the beads a poke and smiled. “You see. With something filled with such memories such as that, you see the things that mean the most. I guess even though you are working on forgetting things that have caused hurt, what we have seen is fresh to us.” Daiyu had to admit, the man was a very strong for holding himself together. If it were her she would be wondering what her daughter looked like now, what she could have done differently. But for all she knew he went through that already and was far from that stage.

She couldn’t lie that it was awesome to see him have such a laid back personality. Brooding or not he was still hot. Of course she kept that to herself. She just saw a whole slew of unfortunate events for gods sakes. But still..he was hot.

Daiyu suddenly perked up when she heard of a necromancer. “I met a guy at the town area and spent the day with him. He could see dead people and his name was Irei. He was really nice and cute. Could he be your roommate? I don’t know how common necromancers are, but it is kick ass he got you to part with your wife. That must have helped quite a bit. “ Daiyu was sometimes horrible at wording helpful words, but she hoped Sascha knew that she was happy the telepath had a chance to part with her wife.

Jia knelt down to pet Sweeney and looked for a collar. “I could always check her collar for something. You and your dog seem to have a close bond so it would be insane if I didn’t get anything off a collar.” Daiyu then glanced over Sascha.

“You know one of these days you are going to owe us and are going to have to read our minds. Of course..you have to warn us first.”

Oh yes, Sascha had gone through the "what if" scenarios dozens of times over; practically torn himself mentally to shreds; and worked himself into countless fits of emotional hysteria, and all for what? His family was still dead, and there wasn't a damn thing he could do about it. He'd come to accept this conclusion long ago, but it was only recently that he'd really confronted the emotional trauma that had left him unwilling to involve himself with people on more than a fairly superficial level. He'd been that way for years now, and it was high time for a change.

In that respect, he'd been very fortunate to run into such kind and sympathetic people here- these girls, for one, along with a host of other individuals he'd come to know during his stay in Elysium. It would be a much easier transition if everyone were that nice. Sascha was drawn out of his thoughts at the mention of Irei's name, and he smiled in acknowledgement. "They're pretty damn rare, as far as I know- guess I just got lucky. Glad to hear he's gotten out to see the sights, though. Irei usually keeps to himself." He winked at Daiyu and then Jia before adding, "But it's all in the company you keep, right? Helps when the company's easy on the eyes."

Sweeney wriggled excitedly as Jia searched through the thick tufts of fur at her throat to find her collar, and Sascha leaned over to settle his hand on the antsy canine's back in a calming gesture. "Sure, check away. Might be interesting to see what sort of things you can come up with, isn't that right, sweets?" His pet name was, of course, directed at Sweeney, but he caught the slight shade of pink that blossomed in Jia's cheeks at his comment. Dear god, these girls were just too fucking cute.

He was a little taken aback at Daiyu's remark, and he blinked stupidly at her for several moments. Read their minds? Read human minds? The concept wasn't something he was terribly familiar with, or at least, he hadn't been up until his little fainting spell just a few short minutes ago. The fact of the matter, though, was that he obviously could do it- and that unnerved him for some reason. "Ah, I'll...see what I can do about that," he responded carefully, slightly uncomfortable with that direction of conversation even though he wasn't completely sure why; he was sure his reluctance probably showed on his face, though. Sascha could put up as good a front as anyone most of the time, but his eyes always gave him away. "I don't have a lot of experience in that area just yet, but...I promise I'll let you know once I do."

Well, that was enough of the awkwardness. A grin slowly resurfaced onto his lips as he regarded the girls. "In the meanwhile, I really do owe you for all your help. Sure there isn't something else I can do to make it up to you?"

Daiyu leaned towards Sascha in a manner that was hardly appropriate. “Wellll now that you mention it…” After she tried to bump shoulders with the telepath, Jia hit her sister’s back lightly to get her head out of the gutter. But that hardly did anything. Daiyu’s mind could stay filthy for quite awhile. “What? He asked for gods sakes. I was just weighing out my options. What else would he want..food?” Daiyu inquired with a rise of the lip. Her sister was a pretty mean cook when she pushed herself. But she would say that she was better.

“You know if you are hungry…for anything we could get you something. It wouldn't have helped your fainting if you haven’t eaten anything.” Jia made sure to chime in carefully before her sister went back to anything inappropriate. “We could at least escort you back to your home.”

Escort was a perfect word going along with what Daiyu was thinking. Some serious TLC may do Sascha some good. Of course if Irei was there wouldn’t it be a two for one special? Nothin’ wrong with that. “Yeah, we can at least escort you home. As long as your stubborn ass doesn’t try to out walk us.” The older of the twins teased.

Let's wrap it up, ladies! (Either Sascha or the thread, whichever works. XD)

Dear God, could his smile have been any bigger? Sascha was really starting to like this Daiyu. He liked Jia, too, of course, delicate little flower that she was; but Daiyu was playing his game, and he hated putting on half-assed performances. Apparently his mind was always in the gutter, and he nudged the older girl back with his shoulder even as her sister tried to reprimand her. "Believe me, ladies, nothing is out of bounds with me."

At the mention of food, Sascha visibly perked up. They were offering something to eat? "Food is always good," he chimed in, perhaps more enthusiastic than anybody had a right to be about the topic of edible goods. "I'll gladly take you up on that offer as long as you don't mind a few special requests. I don't really do red meat, after all."

Sloooowly and with much care, he once again pushed himself to his feet, swaying a little in place as he waited to see whether or not he'd become disoriented again. After several moments of dizzy-free standing, he deemed himself walkable and held out both of his arms to the girls in offering. "If it's not too much trouble, think you could be my temporary crutches? I've got two arms, and there are two of you..."

Sweeney trotted along beside the trio as they got themselves situated and headed off in the direction of the water bungalows, Sascha chatting amiably with his new acquaintances all the while. "Irei's a pretty decent cook, you know. He'd have to be, otherwise we'd both starve. Last time I tried cooking, I nearly burnt down the kitchen..." Daiyu's cheeky little remark didn't escape him, though, and he sent her a positively devilish smirk in return. "Somebody's awfully concerned about my ass, hm?"

Daiyu would roll on the grass with this man right now, but considering that he just fainted, she would kick his ass if he fainted again during sex. Hardly an impression. He was somewhat of a vegetarian? Oh come on, what a perfect match in that department. “I’m a vegetarian. Red meat always made me sick anyways. So no worries there.” There was a teasing smile in Jia’s direction. “And does it look like she eats much?” The younger of the twins frowned and then moved to walk towards one side of Sascha. “I eat! Just not like a pig..like a certain..someone.”

The older of the two walked on the other side of Sascha and though maybe her hand ‘accidentally’ slipped on Sascha’s ass, it found a rightful place around his elbow. “Oh, I am very concerned about you ass.” She smirked.

“I’m sure that is something Jia, Irei and me have in common.” Her grin was quite terrible as she began to walk them down the roadway.
