Who: Yolanda & Kazuki
When: Afternoon
Where: Helicharis (im)proper.
What: Sugar-Rush Vampire Brigade, Take One: WTF? Why are you following me?

That whole curfew thing? Yeah, it sucked, even with the buddy system. Still, Yolanda was determined to make the best out of it, which is why she was out in the day. She wanted to get while the getting was good. Okay, so maybe she was slightly grumpy, but being out in the day did that to her sometimes. She'd been under the sun for a while now, wandering through the shops -- particularly any that provided shade -- and making conversation with some of the people who worked in them. As she walked a flyer caught her eye.

ATTENTION: All patrons of the arts.

Since Yola liked to think she fit the bill, she read on. A theater? Here? She smiled widely, and bounced on her heels a little. "Nice!" Looking at the name, she committed it to memory. Duncan Boyard. She'd send a him note about that. The vampire couldn't act for shit, unless you counted the sort of two-faced behavior that was required to get food sometimes. Which, by the way, she hated doing, because she wasn't into the whole duplicity deal. But that was a whole other issue. So, she wasn't going to be in any starring roles anytime soon. Still, she could paint the sets, or maybe they needed an in-house band. There had to be some way she could help out, right?

As Yolanda considered this, she noticed a familiar shock of bright hair reflected on the glass. The fuck? Was she being followed? Now, Yolanda didn't spend most of her life in places like NYC and Philly without learning how to look at someone without making it obvious. So, she didn't turn around, or anything like that. She just moved her eyes over the image on the glass, pretending she was still reading the note. The over-sized shades that she always wore during the day helped the effect, by hiding the shift in her focus. Yola stared at the figure's reflection, and arched an eyebrow. Okay so that was definitely the same guy she'd seen before.

Alright, she was a vampire. She could do sneaky. Still acting casual, she wandered into the thick of a nearby crowd. Once she was pretty certain she was not visible anymore, she knelt down, making like she was going to tie her shoelaces, and pulled the hood of her sweater over her brightly colored hair. In a smooth motion, she stood, turned, and ducked into an alley. Okay, so maybe it wasn't the smoothest job she'd ever done, especially when she almost walked right into an old fae lady, but it looked like it was good enough. She didn't see him yet, anyway.

Yolanda grinned to herself. His hair, although not quite as multicolored as her own, would still stand out like a sore thumb. "See how you like it," she murmured under her breath, as she waited to turn the tables on her new stalker. Well, if she wasn't being paranoid. Oh wait, no she wasn't, because she could see him up ahead. He was scanning the crowd, probably looking for her. Once his back was turned, she stepped out from the alleyway. Walking swiftly, and with a smug grin, she caught up.

"Hi!" the vampire said, using her best talk-over-other-bar-patrons voice. It was kind of loud, but not a shout. When he turned around, she flashed a bright smile that wasn't entirely friendly, but not entirely unfriendly either. They were in public, and she figured she could handle herself pretty well anyway. So she didn't think there was a huge risk here. She was mostly just amused, at his expense of course. Okay, and a little weirded out. "Any particular reason you're following me?"

Kazuki was in a better mood today. He figured it was because he didn’t talk to his Tailor mate. He just walked in and got to work. He simply ruffled his hair and began his walk through the shops, shoving his hands with a bored sigh. He needed something to do though. He was sure he would get bored if he had nothing to do. The vampire liked to meet new people, go out on small adventures and…

“Oh..hello..”

He saw a girl with somewhat similar hair to him. Her hair was loaded with colors and she seemed interesting to stalk and perhaps scare for a moment. He gave a mischievous smile before he began to duck into various bushes along her journey watching her until she stopped somewhere. Hmm, he had seen the thing about the theatre. He wanted to do the event as well but wasn’t sure if he would be any good or not!

He ducked out of the bushes and was going to scare her but discovered she was gone. What? Where did she go? “Hey..” he muttered with a pout. “That’s no fair.” He walked swiftly, trying to see where she could have went when she suddenly scared all the blood he had in his system out of him.

“Blahslalas!” he flailed about then brought his hands to his chest. “Jeez!! Don’t do that! You shouldn’t go around scaring people!” He scolded.

The boy jumped, and Yolanda couldn't help but double over with laughter, not hiding her amusement in the least. Okay, she was probably having way too much fun with this. In a way, she kind of felt bad, considering how he'd responded. But still! When she finally caught her breath, she waved her hand to him in what was supposed to be a reassuring, or maybe even apologetic gesture. Except the vampire had just enough coordination to flap it meaninglessly, and not much else. "It's okay, I'm not going to bite you or anything." She snickered, covering her mouth a little too late to hide her fangs. She hadn't meant to make a vampire joke, it just came out that way.

Yola was just about to apologize for scaring him. That is, until his words registered. Her jaw dropped. Oh no no no no no no. He was not putting this on her. "Wait, I shouldn't go around scaring people? What about you?" She pointed at him accusingly. "I saw you in the bushes. Windows reflect, you know." She didn't yell, not really, but her voice did get loud enough to attract the attention of some people nearby. She noticed, and clamped her mouth shut. Right, the last thing she needed to do was cause a scene while people were still all nervous about the recent deaths. Vampire has a spaz attack in the middle of Helicharis. Elven guards called. Film at eleven. Never mind that cameras didn't work anymore, someone would find a way to record her making a fool of herself. Maybe there was some sort of magical youtube with crystal balls or something.

Actually, when she thought about it that way, the idea was kind of funny. Funny enough to improve her mood. She crossed her arms and smirked at Kazuki. When she spoke again, the humor was back in her voice. "Lemme guess, you were trying to find your contacts?" She arched an eyebrow and waited for his answer.

Kazuki had a little bit of fire in him. He was underestimated. He grinned when she resorted to teasing him about his lost contacts. “No, I was looking for my other asscheek.” He turned to look towards her backside. “Clearly I found it and then some.” He raised his eyebrows and grinned. No one messed with Kazuki. If she wanted to bring the rain, she could bring it. Kazuki was a kind vampire, one that could chime in angelic music. But like Zane and the late Pryce knew, if he got a little irritated he was a little bitchy. He had a new tailor to deal with and he was hungry. Plus he met a vampire with a sense of humor he wasn’t sure he liked or not.

A thought chimed in to his defense about why he may have been stalking her, though a little late. “Maybe I was taking a leak in the bushes by the way. Plus!” he raised a finger. “If we are both in this situation that proves that we are epically bored. Go figure.” At the moment, Kazuki wasn’t afraid to stare her down. He would growl at her if he had to. He was champion at growling noises.

Yola broke out laughing. Damn straight, she had an ass. And? Still, "Good one." Then she noticed his teeth, and it clicked. Out in the daylight, and pissy, most likely because of that: check. Sneaky, or at least assuming he can be: check. Fangs: check. Yolanda's conclusion? Another vampire. It worked out as a point in his favor though -- vampires who weren't stuffy snobs tended to win points in her book. He might not have been sure he liked her, but she was pretty sure she liked the kid. He might not be a kid, she reminded herself. For all she knew, he was older than Greg. "All of them? What are you, a dog?" she asked with a snicker. She wanted to ruffle his hair or something, but she didn't want to come back with a bloody stump.

"Look at you," she smirked. "All tough now." She was egging him on, and she knew it. Just like how she returned the stare-down. She could give as good as she got. Her face became serious. It worked great, for all of 3 seconds. She tried, she really tried to keep a straight face, but a smile kept curling the corners of her mouth. Maybe she was underestimating him. Or maybe she got the feeling that he wasn't really creep, just a little weird. Whatever it was, she couldn't stay angry. "All right, I give up!" she said with an exaggerated sigh tossing both arms up in surrender.

She figured that neither of them really want to start anything anyway. "Besides, like you said, we really are in the same boat." She made a point of squinting up at the sky. Her eyes might not have shown past her shades, but the grimace on her face was apparent. Two bored vampires out during the day, what would Helicharis do?

Kazuki wanted to deny it, but with a sigh..he muffled it very, very lowly. “You’re hard not to like.” The vampire admitted. “I mean you have cool hair, you are funny..and I like your style.” He gave her a sly grin. “Don’t get too cocky now. My style is still better than yours. I bet you can’t make your clothes, now can you?” he wiggled his brows before he lightened up a little. “I’m not all that mean. I just have my moments, ya know? Maybe I have anti-vampire feelings at first. Then when you pass my test, I am nice.” He folded his arms and sighed when he was reminded of how bored he was.

“Sometimes I feel like causing trouble.” He whispered. “But-But not like murder trouble. Geez. I can’t believe people actually think they are going to get away with it here. How lame is that? I mean there are only so many of us here.” He dragged his feet across the ground. “Maybe we could like..spray paint stuff…or…or..I don’t know woman! Help me out here!”

The vampire would have gladly given his insight on causing some mischief, only thing is..the worst thing he had ever done was dump some paint on someone’s car. They were harassing people at the old store he worked at, so he went on the second floor and dumped black paint on their red car. No one suspected Kazuki..because he was too ‘cute’. Ah, the beauty of looking like an innocent androgynous human being.
