Who: Alex and Virginia When: Tuesday Night Where: Alex's dorm What: Couple Stuff
The thing about childhood in the Wyatt household was that it was almost never happy. Not even times that were intrinsicly supposed to be happy, like Christmas. As a child Virginia honestly dreaded the holidays. It meant her father worked even less and the unhappy home was even less happy when he was around. Even after everything had changed it was hard to lose the feeling of dread that came with the holidays.
Which was probably what made this holiday season so weird. Being with Alex, planning and traveling with him, brought a holiday excitement she had never felt. It was warm and bubbly and honestly just pure happy. They had spent a long weekend with his father in a pre holiday celebration. The blonde had been a bit nervous at first, since it was the first time she was meeting Alex's father, but it had been a great trip! There were family fun and traditions that completely eclipsed the fear and dread she had always felt. There had even been a moment of a door slamming from a gust of wind and Virginia actually didn't jump out of her skin.
She dropped her bag by the door as they came in to his room. It was on the later side that they were returning to school but it didn't really feel like it. Maybe it was the time difference but she was pretty sure it was just happiness that came from family holidays. Virginia kicked off her shoes before she turned to press a sweet kiss to Alex's lips.
"Your family is lovely!" she told him for the millionth time between kisses, "Best holiday weekend I have ever had."
