CARMINE & MARTY | THREAD
WHO: Carmine & Marty WHEN: Saturday afternoon WHERE: Marty's dorm WHAT: Carmine goes to try to apologize and explain some things to Marty. RATING: I'm only putting this here to annoy Heather
Truth be told, Carmine had probably waited too long to go talk to Marty since that amazing night of the Supermoon, when Dae and Marty had helped him deal with a heat he'd never felt before. Even now, thinking about that night, the way he had felt, the intensity of the heat, his feelings and all the things the three of them had done together in the sanctuary of Marty's lamp, made him feel things he had been trying not to. Despite the fact that Dae had clearly not had any hang ups about being with both of them, and neither of the men had minded at all sharing her or each other with all involved, Carmine was still having complicated feelings.
This wasn't to say he regretted any of what happened and in fact dreamed of both of them, together and apart most nights in some way. He had not gone back to see Marty, even though Dae had, something Carmine encouraged her to do. He had just told the little blonde that he needed some time, that he was sorry but he couldn't do this right now. She had clearly not understood why, but had given him his space to figure out whatever he had to figure out.
Was there some thoughts that he might lose the girl he was in love with to the genie? Of course. Especially since Carmine didn't truly think that he deserved such a beautiful soul as Dae and Marty was obviously a better person than he was. But he had encouraged her to spend more time with Marty. It was actually something Dae said that made him go seek out Marty on his own. Something about how Marty thought that Carmine was upset about that night and he was sorry about making him uncomfortable. Or something like that. It had sent a pang of guilt through Carmine, as he realized he was making the genie feel like this was his fault and not about how fucked up and broken Carmine was.
Which was how Carmine had ended up outside Marty's dorm, knocking on the door with loud sure knocks, hoping Marty was actually home. When the door opened, Carmine had a moment to be hit with just how gorgeous of a person Marty was, as he stood in the doorway clearly surprised that the witch had showed up, alone.
"Hi," he started, slightly awkwardly as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other for a long moment. "I was hoping we could talk?" There was a look on Marty's face that Carmine couldn't quite read, but he tried to reassure him. "I just want to explain some things, clear the air, I hope."
