Thread: Malory & Brax
Who: Malory and Brax Where: Brax's apartment When: Saturday Evening What: Shedding light on the truth can be a bitch but distraction can help
it really wasn't entirely sure how exactly the conversation had come up. She had been having lunch with both Brax and Arlo when the conversation of Brax's soon to be ex-wife came up. Probably because her boyfirend was currently all over the news with his latest editorial causing controversy and Raven was all over social media running to his defense. However it managed to come up, Malory had not been able to keep her thoughts off her face. She knew that Brax knew Raven had cheated on him. But she was quickly realizing that there was more than he knew.
Arlo had been quick to confirm that announcing that Brax might hear it better from Malory than he ever did from him. Raven's jealousy gave her away to someone who could actually read her behavior. for damn near a year before Brax found out she had been assuming he was cheating... because she was. Worse, Anyone that shot with her photographer boyfriend knew he had a girlfriend. He wouldn't tell anyone her name or confirm anything but he wasn't shy about the fact that she existed. And as more came out the angrier Brax was getting, rightfully so. As much as Malory had a serious crush on Brax it was the fact that he hadn't actually reached a good place yet that made her hesitate. She had learned the lesson of dating the guy right out of a serious breakup. it didn't go well.
Still, when he actually left, Mal went after him. After Arlo made it clear that he wasn't. He knew his best friend didn't want to hear a word he had to say. She was a few minutes behind him having had to put on shoes make sure her short dress didn't catch the wind too much. Less being stopped by fans every 5 seconds did mean there were fewer photos of every time she walked down a street. He had left the door unlocked and she didn't hesitate to let her self in. Another good move since as she came around the corner she found him with his wedding album attempting to get his lighter to work.
"Nope," she told him reaching to take the album from his hands, "You can burn it when you are sure you won't regret it." Malory glanced around the room looking for something he could damage instead. "Here break things," she prompted moving a number of photo frames to a table where he could break them. To be fair she hadn't actually looked at the content of the photos she grabbed. she just figured broken frames could be replaced easier than burnt photo albums.
