Nathan was trying his damnedest not to panic as he slammed through the sound barrier and saw the cliffs ahead of him. He could see the small dot that was his lover as he angled in for a landing. He hit the ground running. "Peter," he called out panting finally sliding to a stop in front of the younger man. "Tell me what's wrong, how sick do you feel right now?"
The young man was crouched on the ground, waiting. It had taken a bit longer to get up here than he'd anticipated, and he was getting a little antsy. This HAD to work, dammit; it had to work or things would definitely only get worse. The borrowed face was a familiar one, if only because of the scarred man he'd been taunting earlier. Peter was going to pay for what he'd done to Petra; that was all that mattered to Caden . . . starting with Nathan. He remained crouched there, feining illness, his arms wrapped around his stomach. "I feel like everything's on fire . . ."
Nathan knelt down and wrapped his arms around Peter in a gentle hug. He had no idea that he was in for a shitload of trouble. All he cared about was helping Peter. "Breathe, Peter. I'm here now; I promise it will be okay. I won't let you fall."
A shudder coursed through his body as the other man held on to him, and 'Peter' closed his eyes, shaking a little for emphasis. He was supposed to be sick, after all, right? Shuddering again, the younger man coughed and gagged, acting like he really was going to get sick. Nina hadn't been specific on what exactly he was supposed to be doing to play this right, but he was trying at least. "I can't stop it . . . I can't make it stop . . ." Now if only Nina would show up, things would be much better and they could get things rolling. He had another appointment, one that he was probably going to be late for, at this rate.
Nathan turned Peter to face him and froze...Peter's eyes they seemed off now that he had a good look. But before he could do anything a hand was at the back of his next and a voice in his head commanded.
Freeze.
Suddenly Nathan couldn't move and for the first time since he got to the island he was frightened. "Who...are..you," he forced out, as Nina dug her nails into his skin harder and hissed.
"Isn't he lovely, Caden? Too bad we can't have any fun with him this time around."
The eyes were off, yes, because he had never been able to tell the right color in the viewings he'd gotten of Peter. As of right then, he had green eyes, when Peter's were actually brown. Well, it was too late to go back and fix that, now wasn't it? Oh well. Smirking to himself when Nathan suddenly went stock-still and froze, he stood up, acting as if nothing was wrong. "You made that way too easy, Nathan," he answered with a smirk, easily melting into his own appearance once again. "Damn, next time I've gotta get the eyes right if I'm gonna convince someone." He glanced at Nina, his smirk growing as he moved over to her, ruffling Nathan's hair playfully. "Maybe next time."
Nina laughed in delight and leaned over Nathan to peck Canden's cheek. "Oh yes, just because we can't play with the fun stuff doesn't mean you can't jerk the man's chain a little, dear boy." She flashed a few images of Nathan's dirtier secrets into Caden's mind as Nathan stuggled helplessly to get free. Nina then looked at Nathan. "Do you think we should give him a pill or two just to be safe?"
The soft peck brought a smirk to Caden's face, and he lightly tugged at Nathan's hair just for the hell of it. Why not, right? It wasn't like the man was going to fight back. A snicker escaped his lips as Nina projected all of these naughty thoughts into his head, and he smirked a little wider before letting his appearance shimmer, turning once more into Peter. His eyes were the correct color this time, and he was naked and bloody, kneeling in front of Nathan. "You failed, Nathan . . . Why didn't you protect me, like you promised?"
Nina watched in delight as Nathan's eyes hardened to dark pools of anger.
He hated feeling helpless, he couldn't contact the Peters or Jess because Nina would know. Instead he spat at Caden only to get his head yanked back by Nina as she hauled him to his feet. "Fuck . . . off," he ground out and the young woman reached into her pocket and pulled out a pair of red and white pills.
"Oooo naughty Nathan. No powers for you right now," she said, working the man's mouth open and telling him firmly by thought to </i>Swallow</i>, which he did with a glare.
Of course he hated feeling helpless. Who didn't hate feeling like they could do nothing to fix what was happening? Caden wasn't about to stop what he was doing, the blood oozing from his illusionary wounds making it look like he, as Peter, was slowly bleeding out. "You didn't save me . . . You promised, and then left me to die . . . I thought you loved me, Nathan."
Nathan tried to close his eyes but Nina wouldn't let him giving the man a hard slap to the back of the head.
"Look remember what could have happened to him," she hissed in Nathan's ear and he couldn't help the soft whimper that escaped.
"I.....helped him," he managed knowing it wasn't a good answer at least not for these two nutcases.
"You let me die, Nathan. You let them kill me, over and over . . . You let them destroy me." Caden knew exactly what he was doing, and that was what mattered. He knew Nina was enjoying this as much as he was, and he had to fight to keep a smirk off his face. "You never loved me. You only told me that to make me trust you. I trusted you, and you let me die . . . I hate you, Nathan."
Nathan swallowed again, wishing that they would start hurting him or even raping him. Those things he could handle, but this? Fuck . . . . It was getting harder and harder not to at least let a tear slip down his cheek. "Love him . . . you're . . . not him . . . ass . . . hole," he snarled while Nina laughed.
"Ooo puppy wants to bite you, Caden," she said with a smirk plan on her face as well. "Maybe we should put him to sleep."
Caden gripped Nathan's jaw in his 'bloody' hands, forcing him to look at him now, his face a mirror of Peter's when he ws angry and upset. It was a sight NAthan was probably familiar with, except for the blood all over his skin. He leaned in, whispering in Nathan's now. "He never loved you. He only went along with it to make you happy." With that he nipped at Nathan's ear before pulling back, smirking at Petra as he melted into his normal appearance. "At least for now. He's getting a little boring, with all his spitting and struggling."
Nina smiled. "Oh I'll work on that. When you bring the blonde back, he'll be begging you to fuck him and make the pain go away," she said pulling out a pair of handcuffs and snapping them on Nathan's wrists, smirking again as he yelped. "The mental pain that is . . . His mind has so many lovely surprises . . . . Did you know he kissed his sister once? . . . Still blames himself for her death."
Nathan hung his head in shame at the mention of Ama.
"He just represses things like you would not believe."
"Speaking of which . . . I'm late." Caden smirked and moved over, watching Nina handle Nathan with the handcuffs. She always did know how to use those to the fullest . . . He remembered that from experience. Most of the time it was pretty damn fun, too. "Don't have too much fun while I'm gone." With that he smirked and shifted again, turning into the image of Gabriel Gray before he headed off. He had a blonde to catch.
Nina smiled and called after him. "As long as you leave some blonde for me, I'll leave some fly boy for you." She roughly manhandled her charge off the cliff toward a lovely little underground cove she'd discovered while planning this little caper . . . Oh, this was going to be fun indeed.
