So, yes, hallo. I never know exactly what to say in these things, but here goes. I am Dante. Recently arrived here in New Orleans. I seek employment. Anything in the performing arts would be quite super. I can sign and dance. Love to act the most. But, I can wait tables or wash dishes if need be. And, let us not forget about entertainment. What's fun around here to do?

Mardi Gras was a blast! I don't think I've ever had so much fun! It's a shame it had to end! I think I could happily live the rest of my life exactly like that.
I've been thinking about getting a part-time job. School keeps me fairly busy, but it would be nice to earn a little extra money. Is anyone hiring? I can work after 4PM. I need to be home early enough to get a little sleep before school, but I'm alright with 4-6 hours of sleep.
Anyway, if you know of anything, let me know! Or if you just want to chat!

Good evening, New Orleans!
My name is Vergil and I'm new in town. I'm currently seeking gainful employment, preferably something that does not involve me taking my clothes off. Otherwise I'm not too picky. I can tend bar, fix your plumbing, carry heavy stuff. You name it. If you need someone to translate German or Swedish documents, I can do that too. Or if anyone owns a carnival, I can do a great fire breathing act for you! Will consider seasonal work too, so long as I get to stay put. I'd like to lay down roots here, so I prefer not moving around too much. I know, long shot, but can't hurt to try! Someone told me to put that out there, and here I am.

The week after Mardi Gras is totally boring. It's like the city is crying dirty glitter and hung over itself. Hope you guys had fun. NoLa is kinda boring this time of year. I wish it would warm up so I could go do some hiking. And so I don't have to be in school. That would be nice, too. Anyway, sitting here working at the pharmacy, procrastinating stocking. I'm going to go get some work done before I have to head home to hell on earth.

Hey everybody, did you hear the news? I broke my arm! (she broke her arm!) Actually, my arms are perfectly fine. Anywho, I'm Cera. I'm new to town, and I'm looking for some great places to meet new people and make new friends. My favorite movie is Breakfast at Tiffany's, and my favorite book is The Giver by Lois Lowry. I don't know what else to say, so... Bye! :)

Well howdy there, La Nouvelle-Orléans! I'm quite pleased to find myself here. I am overly eager I believe to check out the French Quarter and Bourbon Street area. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should check out first?

I'm back again. Guess it is kind of nice to be home, but ask me again in a few days and I'm sure I'll know better how to feel about it. I'm a bit jet lagged right now so things aren't making all that much sense. Stopped by to visit Nan at the hospital and now I got to get myself squared away.
Coffee anyone? No? How about some strong soul to help me stow away all the crap I've collected over the past years? Oh, sorry. Name's Kara by the way, and it is good to be back home again.

Aaah, good evening, New Orleans! It's a beautiful, clear evening, and I've just woken up from a nap, refreshed and ready to take on the world! What is going on tonight? Does anyone want to hang out and do something fun?
Oh, I'm Nieve, by the way! My ID says Araceli Salazar, but to be honest with you, I don't answer to that name at all, only Nieve. It means 'snow'! I don't know why I'm so attached to that name, but someone started calling me that a long time ago, and it's stuck. I hope to meet some of you new people soon! ♥

Ah, good to be back in New Orleans again. I love my family but a week straight is a bit much and I need to get back to work making music. Anybody who loves to dance to music with a cajun flavor should check out my band and I this weekend, you won't be disappointed. I'm GW Robichaux and my band is the Cajun Devildogs. Later y'all!

Just got all of my bags unpacked in my new house. It feels so good to be back in The Big Easy, though things are a lot different from the last time I was here. Regardless, I'm ready to get out and have a good time, who's with me?
[Private to Demons} Hello, my darlings. Miss me?

So where's the best place for a girl to go have fun on a Saturday night? I just moved here and I want to hear some good music and dance my feet off.

Living in New Orleans reminds me of Boston in the 30s with the girls in the speak easys. Skirts too short, alcohol lubricating the mind, and hormones raging. Everything and everyone was up for grabs, and frankly I wouldn't mind finding something to take. Sometimes you just need a break from your family and your day to day. Sometimes you need to play with fire. And right now, I could use a little heat.

Ah, New Orleans. Finally done traveling and I happened to land where I have family. The name is Akelika, pronounced Ah-key-lee-kah. Call me Ake (Ah-key) for short.
Wanna meet me, find me at The Drunken Lime.
Peace.

The worst part about moving? Finding a place to live. One of the best parts? My family isn't here to drive me absolutely mad. I'm actually looking quite forward to this. I start my new job the week after next and so this coming week will be entirely devoted to finding a place to live. Does anyone know of any decent places that aren't outrageously priced? I'd like to start out this new life here without being broke and desperate.

I was right to move to New Orleans! This place is AWESOME. Though this store clerk gave me an odd look when I bought a pint of mint chocolate chip ice cream and a box of spoons and started eating it right when I walked out the door. Though maybe the odd look was because I gave the other pint, cookie dough, to a stranger on the street... Or maybe it was the lack of a coat? Dunno.
ANYWAY! HELLO EVERYONE!

And I'm back from my Bible Study Retreat. It was great! I got to meet a lot of new people this time around. And while I'm not overly religious where I'll cram it down your throat, I do fully believe in God and the goodness in people.
Birthday is in two weeks, so yay for that. Kaya, I think we need to plan a little something something.
What have I missed while I was away?

Alright New Orleans. I'm Ryan and it's my birthday. I could look at more apartment listings... Or I could find a place to celebrate. Which one's it gonna be?

Moving in the middle of the school year was SO not a good idea. I can't find half of my really cute clothes, because they're still in boxes and I have a mountain of homework already. Thank goodness it's the weekend, at least!
BTW, I'm Lora! I'm new to he area, in case you couldn't tell. Hopefully, I get get my unpacking done quickly so I can do some exploring this weekend. New Orleans is a beautiful city, from what I've seen so far!
