Paige squeezed Kitty's shoulder and shook her head. "You of all people should know by now that you don't need ta be defendin' yerself against me," she reminded her, shaking her head. Paige loved Kitty. And if it came down to it being her Warren chose, she'd bow out gracefully because that was just the kind of person she was. At least, that's the person she was when it came to Kitty. Because Kitty was a ton of things that Paige definitely was not. But that didn't mean she had to like it. It just meant she would have had to fake it really, really well. She did have to admit that hearing that there was no seriousness in any of it had her breathing an inner sigh of relief. For which she kind of felt bad about afterwards.
That prive tag that came with Kitty's dream though... it was still a hefty one in Paige's opinion. She wasn't sure how Warren figured Kitty was going to be able to afford it without killing herself, but maybe she'd have a talk with him about that later. See if she could talk him down and then have him give Kitty some speal about why the price was lowering that had nothing to do with Paige's chat. The little blond could be incredibly manipulative when she had to be, and in this situation, Paige figured she might have to turn it up a great deal. Kitty had enough to deal with without this whole thing laying on her shoulders, there were even things Paige seemed to not know about if what they were talking about were any indication.
Of course, before she could ask her question, Warren asked his and Kitty chimed in. And then there was the logo question. Most people got paid a good amount of cash for an original logo, but for Kitty, Paige would do it for free. "Um, yeah, sure. I can figure out a logo design, draw up the insides of the studio too if you want. Hell, I'll even go shoppin' with ya." She grimaced slightly as her accent made a reappearance and wished like hell she could get a better hold on that. It was starting to grate on her last nerve.
But just as quick as they were on the subject of her drawings, they were off of it again and back on the subject of her own questions. Application for what? Homestudy? Worried about staying a Xavier's? "I... apparently appear to be the one out of the loop here. What are we talking about with applications, homestudies and movine away from home?" Okay, maybe not their home, but enough of a place to be a second home to most of them here. At least, that was how Paige saw it. She couldn't imagine not living here or close to here if she wasn't living back at home.
"You know, I'd offer to marry you because I completely get that feeling, but I don't think you'd swing for me." It was mainly an effort to lighten the mood some, get at least someone smiling. In reality, Paige didn't even swing that way, but she got the little sister-slash-best friend zone feeling. She'd been there many times and it drove her just as nuts as she figured it drove Kitty. She just wanted the woman to freaking smile. After all, she was getting her dream... and once Paige talked to Warren, she'd be getting her dream at a lower price. Hopefully.
