Kitty leaned into Paige's arm and rested her head on the blonde's shoulder, a watery smile on her face. She'd be able to speak in a minute, but for now she just had to absorb. it was a lot to take in all at once. The building, the rent to own, warren knowing about her checklist and the desire to adopt June. It was all so much to take in. "I'm okay," she said after a minute, thankful for Paige's naturally protective nature. Everyone here was family to Kitty, but sometimes she could almost imagine she and Paige were real sisters. It was a relationship she cherished.
"He didn't turn me down," she said, composing herself once more. "But I think he was just trying to make me stop crying." It was an awkward position to be in; Kitty knew about the crush Paige had had on Warren for the longest time, and while she knew herself that she and Warren would never work out or be right, it was hard not to feel like she was dangerously close to flirting with her friend's boyfriend. Because of this she put real effort into sobering and getting down to business. She handed Paige the file Warren had handed her just a few minutes ago. "Warren's helping me get my own studio up and running." On the paper was the lease agreement, the amount of rent she would pay, and how long she would be paying until it would be hers free and clear.
"I'm glad you'll make money on it," she said honestly. "I would feel weird if you lost money or even broke even. You should make money. How much did you buy it for? I didn't look at the papers closely enough."
As Warren asked his question of Paige, Kitty went back to looking at the websites he'd pulled up for her and started making a list. A lot of work was going to need to be put into this and she wasn't planning on skimping on the details, especially with Warren's generosity."
