"I'll tell you what I told Rogue when she said the same thing to me. You don't always have to agree with my decisions, Logan. But you do have to accept they are my decisions. I've been running this place by myself for the past seven years and now suddenly everyone shows up and wants to tell me how to do a better job. Can you understand how that can get under my skin? Just a little bit?" Sometimes she appreciate the fact that certain people never held back from her and spoke what was on their minds plain and simple. This was not one of those times. "Thank you," she said when he agreed to come. "You don't have to stay, but I would appreciate you being here."
The fact that he knew X-23's name came as a bit of a surprise. "That's what I was told her name is. All she usually gives people is her codename. X-23. She left before I could ever really find out who she was. And now she's coming back with information about who was behind the attack and what that means for all of us."
She didn't want to go there with him about Rogue. He'd always been a little overprotective of her and she was already in the middle of a battle she'd never win with him. Instead, she pushed the subject onto the meeting itself. "You'll know just about everyone here." She almost told him about Scott but stopped herself. It wasn't something she could do over the phone. He had to see for himself, and he would if he came.
