She grinned, feeling giddy and lighter than she had for a few days now. "What do you mean about time?" she asked playfully, pulling back just enough to be able to look Logan in the eyes. "You sayin' you knew before I did?" The acceptance of her feelings for him, being bale to say it out loud and not fear rejection was amazingly freeing. She felt like a weight that she didn't even realize had been there was lifted from her shoulders. He looked different to her now, like she could finally see him through the red tape she'd always had around him. Seeing and feeling how he responded to her had her laughing huskily. This was definitely a side of him she never thought she'd see.
Rogue raked her hand through his hair, unable to stop smiling. In this moment it felt like everything she'd been worrying about was so far away that it didn't even belong to her. "Tell me this isn't a dream," she said at last. "Tell me I'm really awake, that it ain't someone else's memory I'm in an' that it's really me here with you." She needed that assurance. "I got all the freedom I need right now."
She started to pull back, to make sure this contact didn't last too long, but stopped herself halfway there. Logan knew what it felt like when there was too much contact. He knew better than anyone and she knew it was time to start trusting him a little bit more. He would know when it was too much, even more so than she did. Though she didn't move away from him she did remove her arms from around his neck. The idea of waking up to him was almost too normal sounding to take and she shook her head, trying to be humorous. "Well, I am better lookin' than you." He was right though. She knew it deep down. He knew her so much better than anyone, her own parents included. Even Bobby to a certain extent. And she'd shared a lot with Bobby.
"Course I worry about it." She frowned, looking away toward the window. As much as she knew Logan was going to be the one who would help her get a grip on all that she was and was quickly becoming, she knew she had to be careful not to put him in the position of savior. That was a lot of pressure to put on someone and it would undoubtedly effect their relationship with one another. When she finally looked back at him, she made herself smile. "But I don't wanna think about that anymore tonight. I just wanna savor this."
