"You should have been where you were," Kitty supplied. Warren had felt the same way when she told him the details of the attack. In truth, she was glad there hadn't been anyone else there. All she could think about was the possibility of someone else getting hurt the way she had. That night turned out the way it did for a reason. Did she know that reason? Not even close, but she was okay with that for now. It was done and there was no way to change any of it. "How did it go with that, anyway? You guys were gone for a long time. This must not have been the simple 'meet with the mutant' deal Ro led us to believe it was."
Talking about owning her own studio was enough to make Kitty glow any time she talked about it or even thought about it. "Yeah. It's still in the works, nothing is written in stone yet. I gave Warren my presentation last week and he still hasn't mentioned anything about it. Which would make me really nervous if I didn't know how busy he was. Really, with all that he's got his hands in right now, I wouldn't be offended if it was the last thing on his mind." She grinned at the idea of teaching Jean-Paul to dance, eyes laughing. "Well it won't be just ballet that will be offered, and even if it was, something tells me I've taught a lot worse than you. You've always sort of hand this natural elegance about you I've always envied."
He had missed a lot indeed. But knowing Jean-Paul as she did, Kitty knew it would take him no time at all to get caught up on what was going on. She turned to look in the direction of the mansion, trying to remember anything else that would be important to relay. "Sean and Theresa went back to Ireland and I asked Ro to consider me for her second." Thinking about it now, remembering how she'd just come out with it, was enough to make her shake her head. "There's a girl, she calls herself X-23. She left a little while ago to try and get an idea of who set up the attack." Here her expression darkened. "She found out there's a whole underground organization of anti-mutant cells. One of them was downtown and she destroyed it. Not exactly the way we envisioned her mission going, but..." She scratched her head. "She's a lot like Logan in that she really doesn't care about anyone else's opinion." Actually, the two were a lot alike. It was a little weird.
"I think that's it. Your room is still there, nothing has been touched. Except you now have Wade Wilson in the room next to yours." She rolled her eyes. "I'll tell you right now, the man is a pain in the ass. He...ugh!" Just the thought of Wade frustrated her enough to be left speechless. No small feat indeed. "You'll see," she promised darkly. "He's a special kind of different."
