Notes: OMG THIS IS ALL ROSE'S FAULT I SWEAR. (I was going to wait and post this when I knew she was around, but maybe this will lure her back. Or scare her away forever. hahaha omg I'M SORRY.) She asked me specifically for bad stick figure art, but I can't remember if she requested this pairing or if it just came from my twisted brain. Probably the latter. The ficlet is unbeta'd and I just whipped it out because I thought the picture might need additional explanation. Also, I haven't watched AWZ for a really long time ok, so I have no idea if Richard and Simone are still together or if he's still lost out on his island or whatever, so just pretend this takes place at a time in canon when it would have made sense. And now my header is longer than the ficlet so I'll stop.

While Richard is Away…
Simone sits at her dressing table, dabbing dots of white cream under her eyes. She wears nothing except a dark pink satin robe, one she only pulls out for special occasions. The silk caresses her skin in a cool embrace. It only serves to heighten her anticipation.
Finally.
Click, click, click. She hears the sound of dulled heels coming down the hallway and approaching her bedroom door. Simone frowns. Frau Scholz will have to be punished. Again.
Her bedroom door opens, and Simone catches the strong aroma of coffee, but she doesn't need to look away from her mirror to know how Frau Scholz is dressed. She wears her typical uniform: sharply pressed trousers and a light pink button-down, secured all the way to her collar. And of course those same heels Frau Scholz has been wearing for years.
“Did you not get my note, Frau Scholz?” Simone glimpses a flash of an expression across Frau Scholz’s face through her reflection in the mirror but it's gone too quickly to identify. Frau Scholz is too well-trained to slip further.
“Richard left late last night. You should be in your...other uniform.”
“I’m so very sorry.” Frau Scholz’s voice is barely above a whisper. “I shall change right away, Frau Steinkamp.”
Simone raises a sharp eyebrow. A hint of pink colors Frau Scholz cheeks.
“Forgive me, my Mistress.”
“And bring me a fresh cup when you’ve returned. Now go.”
And like any good employee, the best Simone has trained since her very first housekeeper as a small girl, Frau Scholz arrives back to the bedroom by the time Simone has finished preparing for the day.
