Izaic stepped emerged topside, head bobbing to the music from his head phones while hsi fingers were busy punching away a text, yet somehow he didn't miss a step, casually maing his way through the crowds of people without so much as bumping shoulders witht them. He glanced up, blue fading from his eyes as he caught sight of Mr. Seemevil himself. "Hey, found ya. Where are those margarittas you promised?" he asked with a smirk, pulling the headphones from his head.

The winds from the water snaked through buildings, just the tallest crowns red now with the last strike of sunlight and their bases already lit by alternating stark, flashing neon and warm, constant lamplight. Levi huddled, exhausted of this easy 180 of temperatures in this season, sticking close to the wall for shelter and craning his neck to watch the last blaze of the day's colour slide off of the reflective glass and commit him and the city to the night's chill. He pulled his toque protectively over his ears and regretted his casual rejection of a jacket.

Regret was a thing easy to forget for Levi, though, and this one was forgotten as he was addressed by a voice not completely familiar-- without the filter of radio and tinny speakers, Izaic was startlingly real. Taller, even, than Levi expected. Well, Levi wasn't sure what he expected. Some sort of electric gremlin, really.

His greeting wasn't immediately vocal, but a sudden flash of a camera which was gone as quickly as it came out. "Eager, eager," he accused, smiling and tugging at the toque again, belatedly wondering what it was doing to his hair. "To my lair, where I will inebriate you and you will learn the dangers of meeting people from the Internet."

"What, you need proof you met me?" he asked, blinking spots from his eyes and giving a small laugh. He'd seen Levi from time to time in te real world, never spoken to him of course, but he was easy to recognise from his pictures. Izaic had, in the past, pointedly avoid putting a picture to his face, though he'd change that with today's self portrait. Today was a day for breaking rules it seemed, for here he was, standing before Levi, whom he tormented on a near daily bases as PluG, and then chatted with as Izaic.

"What you think I came for your sparkling personality? Can get that at home, where it's nice and warm. I'm after your booze, good sir," he said with a wink, "And what fun would life be without a little danger." Besides which if he did go missing no doubt Kyle would be knocking down his door.

With a grand and fluid beckoning with one hand, Levi started them off down the sidewalk, backs to the winds with purpose in his stride only spurned by this chill. Any other time this walk would be a casual meander.

"Just making sure you weren't a vampire," he said. The picture would likely be lost amongst unsorted folders of much of the same. The first one of anyone was never any good. They all looked the same as the first one of anyone else.

"I would appreciate it if you kept the conversation honest. I am obviously irrisistable, there is no need to hide it. My ignorance of age limits is just a single facet of my dazzling charm." The hand that waved to enunciate this statement dropped to tuck into Levi's pocket as the other and his head cocked to the side to watch Izaic out of the corner of his eye, his confident saunter uninterupted by the flow of pedestrian traffic around him-- they could fucking well get out of his way, as far as Levi was concerned.

"Twenty is the new twenty-one," he said with a shrug, hurrying to keep pase with him, "Besides, I could change my brithcertifate again, that ones always a riot when they try to look it up; or just change the damn law. The wonders of the internet, gateway to all the world. Though you are irrestiable, I have to admitt, the promise of alcohol was only an added bonus. Imagine what kind of trouble I can get up to with you in the flesh. Your fun enough online, your real life persona better measure up."

"I will admit, I do take my clothes off a little less in real life. It's a bit colder out here. Not quite as insulated," Levi replied. He wasn't sure how he felt at the moment about that 'change the law' business. It wasn't the sort of power a kid like this should have been able to handle, he was sure, without the gentle guidance of a far more maturely devious mind. But that was quite convoluted trouble, and Levi was a man of instant gratification. The kind of trouble they could be getting up to this night of nights would be a bit more tumultuous.

A couple of blocks, some zigging and some zagging brought the pair to a street of low rise, semi-durable stucco buildings broken up about the middle of the street by a pair of larger lots facing and mirroring each other, but only one had new paint and a fleet of identical trucks guarding it. It was towards the other that they headed, bouncing up a graffitied loading ramp for Levi to slap his palm against a tin garage door, making it shiver and the metallic crash disturb the relative quiet of the twilight on this commercial street. This was merely an announcement. It was through a man door nearby that Levi invited Izaic, without apology for the noise that spilled out of it with the fluorescent light.

Izaic was unsurprised by the factory style living, it seemed to suit Levi's fast, down and dirty, streetwise attitude. The flurry of activity and people within was unsurprising as well. People like Levi needed attention, the more the better, there was no such thing as too much.

"Nice set up," he said with a grin, looking about, "You'll have to show me your comp setup. It's always exciting to see it from the other end."

Amongst the scattered, random, eclectic selection of furniture and not-really furniture that covered much of the floor of the uninterupted space sat and meandered and existed an array of humans, mutants and whatever business came with their living. Today, it seemed, was a sort of internal garage sale; the winter over, the spring cleaning begun, the money to be made from ones bunkmate. Always a profitable and raucous season. "Hey-" Levi called sharply as a boy, maybe 15, attempted to whiz by with something under his arm. He was stopped, snapped back by a quick grab around the shoulders by his landlord. "Who said you could have that?"

"Lyndon! Five bucks, I paid!" the boy insisted, face screwed up, squirming to escape the tight hold against Levi's chest. Levi didn't consider for long, shit he thought was Etienne's could very easily be Lyndon's. Too easily. Etienne probably didn't have much of his own shit, really. Just his gloves, and Levi stole a pair of those today in fact.

He left the kid with a warning- 'Don't run, you'll break something'- and a very unwelcome sloppy kiss to the crown of his head before he was released to continue whizzing as he was advised against.

"Now, now, I don't think we're that intimate yet," Levi said to Izaic, abruptly jerking the hat off and scrubbing a hand through his flattened hair. "At least let me get you a drink first."

"Busy place," Izaic muttered with a small smile, "S'like the inside of a computer." They were like a big...jumbled, mismatched family, he concluded with a smile. A big, chaotic, insane family.

"I've seen you practically naked and yet your computer is your area of modesty. I like it," he said with a laugh, "Lead on," he said with a wave of his hand, and soon they had found their way into the kitchen.

"Practically," Levi echoed, incredulous. His online antics were never practically anything, they just were, hook, line and sinker. In his most pompous, badly affected English accent, he continued, "I assure you, sir, I am not the sort to commit myself to such devilry. Your accusations wound me and my commitment to full nudity."

In the kitchen, an industrial looking space divided from the rest of the room only by a bank of counters, Levi pushed himself up to sit on just this bank and kick his legs restlessly. Next to him, the blender, and around him, people trying to go about their lives and toast and peanut butter to command into retrieving necessary margarita-making accoutrements. Mostly he got what he wanted with little trouble, a bit of whining here and there which got someone sweared at and then brightly (often physically) thanked once they gave in.

"So where are all your real friends?" Levi asked as he carelessly went about assembling their beverage. He watched Izaic closely, certain that real, physical, reality-based friends were a rarity in the boy's world.

"I'm behind a screen so often, I tend to forgot who my real life friends are," he said with a laugh, "There's Kyle, childhood friend; don't think he's too happy that I'm here actually. But hey, drinks. Plus you're fabulous. I've been dying to meet you in person. I follow your stuff. Don't comment much, but ya know." He shrugged, brushing back his bangs. "So how many of you live here then? This legal? Follow health code...fire codes," he asked with a laugh.

He took the time to be baffled at the fact that Kyle seemed to surround him and seep into his relationships in his own dastardly way, not to mention the idea that anyone could handle Kyle long enough to consider him a friend, but that wasn't nearly as interesting as how fabulous Levi was himself. "I am," he agreed, glancing away from the blender to flash Izaic a grin. "It's okay, I know you're there."

He didn't bother to attempt to answer over the grind of the blender, the sound drowning out the clatter in the kitchen but facing healthy competition from a nearby stereo. Blended to satisfaction, as he poured Levi said, "We are above codes here. There isn't much that goes on that is legal, living-wise. The city pretty well leaves us alone as long as we're not selling crack, 'cause otherwise these kids would be all over their park benches and scaring the respectable people." He shrugged and handed off a mug full of margarita and took a drink straight from the blender himself.

No you don't, he thought with a grin, thinking of all the fun he had with him as PluG.

He gripped the mug, arching an eyebrow in amusement and taking a large swig. He gave a small cough, laughing and eying the cup. "Interesting mix," he teased, but he tipped back the drink again. Alcohol was alcohol. His eyes gave a small flicker, and his lips curled into a small grin. "So what all do you guys do for fun around here, hmm?"

The noise Levi made might have been agreeance, but it was lost somewhere in the blender as he tipped more of the drink into his mouth. Izaic was bold enough to ask a very open question then, so Levi didn't have to defend his haphazard mixology.

What do they do for fun in the Factory? Well, that depended entirely on the mood, the crowd, the amount of money floating around and the type of snack food. It wasn't often that they came together for a community effort of entertainment, and more often bizarre things happened in scattered pockets of established cliques-- each with individual and growing cultures of their own. Levi could vouch for at least one inhabiting posse that might have their own language. So how to answer?

Any fucking way he liked. The question made him entirely in control of their evening. How far could he take it?

Well, that was easy, really. What was it that let him keep on pushing? A game of dares.

"Reckless endangerment," he answered first, which very well could have been true. It certainly was said straight faced. "Truth or dare is cheap thrills. And how this place has been furnished mostly." He stayed casual, eyeing the blender and sipping again, taking on an air of pondering, either remembering old games fondly or thinking of better ways the Factory has kept amused. But his eye wandered back to Izaic, and around the edge of the blender his smirk could be spotted.

After the last thunk of impact from Izaic hitting the dumpster, the street was alarmingly quiet-- the only sound was that leaked between the buildings from the busy city around them as other people went about their business, laughing and crying and fucking and whatever else New York did out of sight. The smell here on this quiet street was burnt rubber, sour to Levi and tinged with the coppery taste of blood from the corner of his mouth. He waited for a beat, trying to get a sense of his injuries, afraid of interupting the quiet in case it got him proper dead, breathing the dust on the road with his eyes closed.

As far as he knew, he had just gotten his friend killed. The disconnect of the tire screech and the ultimate sound of impact hadn't caught up with him yet. But then there was the slam of a car door, and Levi held his breath, listening; usually someone had some vocal expression of dismay once they've hit a poor innocent boy in a wheelchair. None came.

Slowly, he lifted his head and propped himself up carefully without his weight on his scraped elbow but his forearm, debris digging into his tender skin. Glancing back at the scene of the crime, he saw no wheelchair, just the car at an odd angle in the middle of the intersection and a man standing in front of it, holding his head like his brain might fall out trying to figure it all out. The shopping cart rested against the car's rear wheel on its side. When the man finally turned and caught Levi's eye, Levi decided it was about time to stop laying around and get moving.

He was on his feet and darting (not quite limping, just ginger) into an alleyway before the man could even shout his profanities.

Izaic groaned, half sitting up and holding a hand to his head, blinking slowly. He gave the small, nervous laugh of someone who has narrowly avoided death, wiping away blood that seemed to be coming from his tender nose, though really, his face could be a wreck, he couldn't tell with all the adrenaline coursing through him.

He looked back at the destruction he'd left behind him, ducking his head as he saw the driver emerge, and just catching of Levi ducking out of sight up the road. Chewing lightly on his lower he held out a hand to stop the clacking of the wheelchair as it continued to spin, toppled on its side.

He pushed himself to his feet, using the dumpster as a brace, and the just as the man caught sight of him another flash of blue had the alarm system screaming, and lights flashing, distracting him long enough for Izaic to dart out of sight, alarm shutting off only when he had found his way to Levi.

In the dark of the backstreets, Levi jumped at Izaic's appearance, startled and expecting the angry driver before his battered accomplice. With a hushed swear, hand on his thumping heart, Levi caught the boy up in both arms and dragged him into the shadow of a dumpster, shushing him though Levi was the one more guilty of insuppressible giggles.

He listened, Izaic still held tightly, trying to hear any sign of the driver over the muffled noise of someone's television from an open window across the street and the clatter of a curious cat on the fire escape above them, and for a long time there was nothing. With a tentative breath he pushed Izaic away enough to abruptly wipe away the blood from his lip with his thumb, only to find it was difficult to assess the damage in the dark and just had to giggle again and squeeze him.

Distantly, there was the sound of the car engine, and Levi dropped his head back against the wall behind him and let go of Izaic with a great sigh of relief.

Izaic had to hold his hands over his mouth to fight back the giggles that blossomed at seeing Levi. He didn't even know why he was laughing, maybe he'd hit his head harder then he'd thought. Heart racing, he lay his forehead against Levi's chest, gasping for breath.

"I can't...fuck-"he breathed, relapsing into giggles again.

"He is...gone? Aw fuck, that was...we need to rescue the wheelchair...Hell, I don't think I can top this," he said with a laugh.

With a hand on Izaic's shoulder, Levi gave him a nudge to encourage him back along the way he had come, still grinning ear to ear with the sheer excitment and success of the venture. Izaic was the clear winner of the race, but that was just a menial detail. "Fuck you, you can. You've got time to think about it, I'm not commiting to anything until I'm not bleeding anymore anyway," Levi said, kicking the shopping cart as they passed it, bent now and not really much use. It clattered and shivered but had no other protest.

Collecting the wheelchair and inviting Izaic to sit while he pushed back up the hill, Levi asked, "Did he stop like that on his own?" He wasn't sure the extent of Izaic's ability, but he could guess. And he suspected cheating. A winner, but a cheater; Levi smirked, the best kind.

"Well my dares don't generally involve bleeding or speeding cars, so I loose right there," he said with a small laugh, arching an eyebrow at the mangled shopping cart and wondering what state Levi would be in if he hadn't bailed.

A faint blush coloured his cheeks and he pointedly looked away, giving a small laugh. "Not...exactly," he admitted finally, feet dangling absently and he looked up at Levi with a cheeky grin. "Why don't we try a truth then, while we get all fixed up, and you can tell me...if had to give up your powers, irreversible, no trade-back decision, what would you want in return?"

Interesting question, Levi had to admit. If he had been asked in his explosive teenage years surrounding his emancipation, he would say his mutation was more of a curse than anything and he was happy to give it away for free. Now, though, he couldn't imagine getting on without it-- despite the constant threat of his immediate family leaking into his brain, Levi depended on his telepathy constantly in conversation without ever being aware of it. The only time he was aware was when someone put up a fuss.

Still, though, there were some things that would make that all right. He could adjust, Levi was sure. "Money, chicks, fame, I don't know," he mused as they meandered up the hill. "Of course, the only reason anyone wants to be famous is the money, and the only reason anyone wants money is to get more people to fuck them. So I guess I'll go with the chicks; some sort of 72 virgins deal, right?" he grinned. There wasn't really much that anyone could physically offer Levi in return for anything; he was a destructive creature, careless of the delicacy and impermanence of the material. The question posed problems.

Izaic laughed, "Well, we know which head controls your thought process," he teased, giving a small laugh, "Though I dunno why everyone gets so gun-ho over the virgin thing. Wouldn't you rather have 72 really kinky chicks?"

He wiggled his toes, poking at his nose gingerly. "I'll take truth as well."

Levi laughed, nudging the back of Izaic's head playfully, but knew neither of them needed to be reminded which of them had healthy, normal sexual urges. Levi had nothing to be ashamed of. Not that he knew shame well.

The boys and girls that had gathered to witness their death had scattered at the first sign of trouble, so it was quiet as they approached the factory doors. "As long as we're talking about mutations, what's the naughtiest thing you've done with yours? I mean, everything we do depends on technology, you could take over the world, easy," Levi pointed out, knowing just of exploits only hinted at online.

Izaic pursed his lips, giving a mischievous look. "Got into a spot of trouble with the FBI...a couple of times. Not my fault, they should make their websites harder to get into," he said with a small laugh, "And uh...there were a couple of cases of...some money moving from high profile accounts, but no one knows about that, so you'd best keep mum."

Of course, he had been looking to get in. And he knew far more then he thought they did. As it was it was lucky he hadn't been locked away. Being an X-baby had its advantages from time to time.

He grinned, giving a small wink, "You'd be surprised the amount of trouble I can get up to, curious mind, unlimited access to some of the biggest secrets...it's far too tempting."

"Oooh, this game could get interesting," Levi purred. Tempting indeed, he thought. Izaic must have learned by now that he had to cover his tracks, too-- they could be unstoppably mischievous. Now, though, they had other things to take care of.

He dumped the boy out of the wheelchair to fold it and leave it by the door, strolling through the factory and doing his best not to return the curious looks from their one-time spectators. They were quiet now; the news of the stunted race had spread fast, and they were all on edge wondering about the results. Of course, it would be bad form to just come out and ask after their cowardly retreat.

The only pause along Levi's path was to stretch over the counter and collect the blender full of margarita, watery now with melted ice, not that he cared much. He continued on to a door at the side of the room, painted the same colour as the wall, tucked away under an iron staircase. "K, truth," he reminded Izaic once they were both in the bathroom, industrial like the kitchen, with a bank of sinks and stalls and other doors. Levi pushed himself up to sit on the counter, inviting Izaic closer to take advantage of the fluorescent light.

"Ever been in love?" he asked absently, making a face at the state of his nose, peering into the mirror and gripping the bridge gingerly. He blinke, eyes narrowing under the bright lights, and rimmed with red, running a finger along the grazed flesh of his cheek with a wince.

"Know anybody with healing powers?" he asked with a small laugh, looking at the other man's injury and twisting a face.
