( who ) Sean Madrox-Rourke & OPEN
( when ) Evening
( where ) Manhattan Bar 'Tonic'
( what ) Drowning multiple sorrows with hopes of company
( rating ) TBD

Nothing really seemed to be going right. Work was slow, since no one but Max Summers bared to pay Sean any attention, school papers were weighing him down, and living so near his folks was just annoying. So right now Sean, Sean, and Sean sat at the Tonic bar, drumming their fingers on the bar top.

Sean sighed as he took another drink of his beer. The dupe to his right rested his head on his arm on the bar as he took a handful of peanuts, and the third dupe to that dupe's right drummed his fingers on the bar while nodding his head along to the music in the background. It was a little trick Sean used. When he split into three he could buy three different with split money he could just reabsorb them and become more drunk with only buying one drink....so to speak. But to the bartender, the Seans were just a set of triplets. The second dupe looked up from his peanuts to the original Sean on the end. "This is a drag."

Sean sighed and took another drink. "I know."

She was never much of a drinker, nor one to go bar hopping late in the evening, with four or five others. She didn't realize what she was doing, and in fact completely questioned herself about it. However, her roommate did not wish to attend meeting new males alone, and so Cheyenne got dragged into the mix. The two girls entered Tonic, and immediately her friend Amelie began to head over to a large group of boys which to her eyes, seemed to be a birthday party. Already having her ties severed, she slowly made her way to the bar area.

Her hand held the ripped metal stool, dragging the legs against the stained carpeting, trying not to disturb what looked to her like a drunken Sean. She had experience with males in bars and clubs before, so she made no haste getting on top of the stool. Once she was a good 16 or 24 inches away from Sean, Cheyenne exhaled a deep sigh of boredom as well, before directing the attention of the bartender over to her.

"Hey, thanks.." She said, when he asked her what he could give her this evening. "Just a soda, please. Spritez? or Sierra Mist? Something clear." Cheyenne's head fell against the bridge of her palm, as the bartender complied and headed over to their soda fountain. "Thank you." She said softly, as he walked away.

She couldn't help but look back to where Amelie was, and seemingly enjoying herself. Now, all that she could think about was just how big of a mistake it was to get dragged into this. She would probably end up finishing her soda, and walking home by herself. Doesn't that sound fun?

Two of the Sean's didn't seem to notice Cheyenne at all. One still had his head down on his arm, the other taking a drink and looking off at the rest of the bar, but one of Sean's dupe did indeed spot Cheyenne and smirked. It was one of Sean's less-charming duplicates. Dupe #3 climbed off his stool and crossed over the bar towards Cheyenne. Sean watched his dupe, just assuming he was going to the restroom, then went back to his drinking and chatting with his other dupe.

Dupe Sean smoothly slid onto the stool beside Cheyenne and set his drink down. "Hey there pretty thing." He flasher he a charming smile. "Someone like you should be drinking something stronger."

With nothing else to do but watch her friend bumping up on some random guy, it was only natural that while Sean passed in front of her, he caught her gaze. She too thought the guy was going to go to the restroom, but in fact her surprise got the best of her as she felt the presence of the male beside her. "Uhm... Hi..." Cheyenne said, nervously looking at him from the corner of her eyes. "Is there something I can help you with?" She asked, before he made his statement.

Within the few second time frame, the bartender came back over and set her drink down in front of her. A nice, clear, carbonated soda. The comment made by Sean wasn't something she was expecting, and so she gave him an awkward grin. Cheyenne's fingers aided the white star to the edge of her lips, drinking the sprite before setting it back down to reply.

"Oh yeah? If I had the money, maybe I would. Being a college student usually helps me limit my dispendable cash. That's probably a good thing, though... Some people in these places just don't realize when no means no, you know?" She suspected him of being one of those. Someone looking for an ass to tap, already having 4 or 5 beers.

The dupe rolled his eyes and gave Cheyenne a 'pffft' sound. He took a drink from his own beer and set it on the bar before pointing a finger at the stranger in front of him that he was very poorly trying to seduce. "Why do ya gotta be such a fun sucker, girl? No fun at all!"

At once the dupe seemed to make a pop sound followed by a sudden rush and it was gone, being sucked up and reabsorbed into the body of the original Sean who happened to be sitting behind the dupe who had been hitting on Cheyenne. Sean looked far more shy and sheepish than the other version of him who had been hitting on Cheyenne and he meekly lifted his hand.
"I'm so sorry about that. I shouldn't have let him talk to anyone."

Cheyenne didn't respond to Sean, after he made the comment that she was a fun sucker, simply because things weren't going the way he had planned. "..OK." She said, feeling as if she should just turn around on the stool and head home. She felt awkward, and out of place. Then suddenly, the sean look-alike was gone, only to get a response back from the original Sean, who looked exactly the same as the duplicated version. A completely new reason for the term "ganging up on."

"It's... fine? I don't trust people at these places, so I usually just bring a wall up. A lot of crazies, and stuff in these NY bars." She paused, remembering how life in Colorado was. Taverns over there were small, and usually consisted of locals. Everyone knew everyone, and no one even dared to mess with someone else's daughter, or sister. She really picked the wrong city to be cruising around in.

"Are you okay?" She said, getting the sense that Sean was somewhat depressed, or unhappy. After all, Cheyenne could perceive the colors of people's auras. His wasn't that bright at all, obviously a sign of alcohol in presence. The colors were translucent; soft shades of blues and browns. "It would probably be my better judgement, to say people like us don't usually come to places like these?" Cheyenne tried to laugh warm-heartedly, to lighten to mood, and to grow over the incident that just happened.

Sean gave a small shrug now that his dirty minded dupe was gone. He looked at Cheyenne with his same semi-shy look that always seemed to be on his face. "Well I dunno about you. I just come here because my place isn't far from here." He nodded off towards the entrance to the bar. "Not too far that way."

He glanced over to where Cheyenne was looking, watching her friends at their little birthday gathering. "Youre not going to celebrate with your friends?"

"Oh..." She said, in a state of guilt, and contemplation. So, maybe he was something that she originally thought he wasn't. Maybe he did come here all the time, because he loves to drink some hard liquor. I guess it isn't safe for anyone to assume that the reason someone is where they are, is because they're depressed. Some people just have no other, better, place to hang around. She accepted it for what it was, and disconnected herself a bit from Sean.

Cheyenne looked at Sean when he was looking back at the group. She couldn't help but laugh. If it wasn't apparent, it should be even more so now. Clearly she was not that type of a girl. "Actually, I don't know those people. I doubt my friend does, either. She wanted me to come with her for moral support, to hitch up with a guy, you know?" She looked down at her chest, as well as the bright purple laced undershirt she was wearing. A soft smile was the reaction to clearly organizing her thoughts, right before she said them fluently to Sean. "And look; she left me right at the door, and now.... I'm sitting here... talking with a guy that's probably 4 or so beers in, acting like he cares." She held that smile, snickering while she shook her head.

"It always happens... to me."

Sean held up his hand displaying three fingers. "Three beers. Im hardly even buzzed. The third isn't even in me yet. Its over there." Sean nodded to his right where his second duplicate still sat, eating peanuts. Sean looked back at Cheyenne.

"So your the wing-girl? Huh, weird. I didn't know chicks needed them too." He shrugged a little, finishing off his beer and setting the bottle down on the bar before turning back on the stool, facing the bar now and resting his elbows on it.

She acknowledged the other duplicate by a simple wave of two of her fingers. This was quite weird. She completely felt as if she was in the wrong place, at the wrong time. She was really counting the seconds before she would end up hopping off the stool, and dashing to the door. Strikingly enough, Cheyenne remained perched on the stool.

"Um... kind of/sort of? I mean, if I was, I'd probably be bumping on some random dude as well. Crystal is very much... in her element. She just wanted me to tag along... for reasons that I myself am even questioning. She probably just wanted to rub it into my face like this, or something. Leaving me... to sit here, with some weird guy." She looked at Sean, and immediately felt bad. "I mean, not that you're weird or anything... It's just... you know the type of people that frequent here..." She face palmed herself, leaving her elbow on the table.

"I think it would be best if I stopped talking."

Sean didn't look hurt by the comment about him being weird because even he would admit he was sort of weird at times. He shrugged his shoulders and scratched his head a little and glanced at Cheyenne again.
"Ah so you're the extra girl for her? Lame." He shrugged and went looked back at his empty glass, trailing his finger around it as he went back to being his uncomfortably quiet self.

He sighed a little to himself, glancing to his right to check on his dupe, which still sat there, well behaved as ever. He was happy when his dupes behaved themselves. He smiled just a little and glanced at Cheyenne again. "Its ok. Im weird."
