There was nothing more enjoyable, than performing and singing in public. Although her family is quite known in the galaxy, and she does have that star quality, Aeva really hasn't done anything to allow herself to be noticed in Earth's eye, let alone the United States. Aeva was focused primarily on school, as anyone should. However, today her classes got done early and it was quite beautiful outside. Something she wasn't used to seeing, up until this point. The UV rays beating against her pale white skin, felt her body leviate into complete ecstasy. She was energized, just like the rabbit. Her body quickened with movement, taking this time to pack all of her equipment herself. Usually she got someone to do it for her. Western societies seem to fall for the 'damsel in distress' moreso than others. And, up until this point is proved to have a very nice success rates.

Aeva held her two speakers and microphone, nestled inside a large sterilite container under her arm. The other arm carried the needed necessities to make everything "click." It wasn't a long walk, maybe 8 or so blocks. However, with the added weight and annoyance of holding two large containers seemed as if the landing zone wouldn't show up anytime soon! Still, her confidence and energy remained a factor in her progress. When she finally made it to the small plaza, in the middle of a street strip mall, Aeva-Lynn immediately began setting up her equipment. She was like an oddity, in the middle of the street. A normal looking girl, putting out speakers, and writing 'donations' on the smaller container, tended to gather a crowd.

A quick toss of her jacket, and a buttoning down of her shirt, aided to the female's look, as the last cord was plugged in; giving life to the microphone. "TESTIIIINNNGGGG. TESSTTTIIINNNGG." She sang, rather annoyingly to tell how loud the speakers were. A few more adjustments, and adding tempo with her CD player of MIDI files, she pressed play. The beat softly rolled out into the crowd. A familiar jingle that's the anthem to girls everywhere! You guessed it. Aeva's limited advancements on pop culture and american music was really limited to her mother's era, and what she had. She was like a walking tribute to the 80's. An era that happened nearly 50 years ago, half a century for most.

The beat lasted for a good 10 to 15 seconds, before Aeva finally turned around, releasing her singing voice onto the world, for all to hear. "The phone rings in the middle of the night... My fathhaa yells 'what you gonna do with your life!?!'Oh daddy dear, you know you're still number one!!!! But, these girls just want-to-have-fun-unnnn!" She swayed to the beat, and although having no real dance moves, she began to waddle around in a large circle, continually swaying. "Come on!" She yelled at random people going by, before finally she reached the part where everyone usually participates in.

"Thats all they reallly wannnnntttt. Sommmeee fuunnnnnnn! Wheeenn the working day has gone, oh girls. Just want to. Have Fuh-uhn." Things seemed to be going smooth. A small group of 12 year old girls were singing along, and a few older men and women had gathered just to watch Aeva's crazy dance moves. However, things got increasingly heated when a store employee unplugged the extension cord to her CD player, killing not only the beat, but her singing as well!

It was hours before Felix had to be at the station. Oh, sure, he could have gone in and done some paperwork - built lessons for the shows a week out, but the weather was much too nice to do anything like that. All the work would still be there when he got in, and after the show. He'd buckle down and make his boss all proud of him! Maybe not, since he was slacking right now, but Felix wasn't worried about getting into any trouble.

He pulled out his water bottle, taking a bit of a breath as he tried desperately to find something to do with his time. Hearing the shrill pitch of someone working out the business of a microphone, Felix decided that whatever was going on was better than him doing nothing. He wasn't all that surprised to see Aeva. Well, there was surprise there, but not any more than seeing any other mutant/whatever offspring hanging around. They really were coming out of the woodwork, lately!

When she started singing, Felix moved in a little closer, taking another sip from his bottle. He smiled, a melancholy sort of expression. His mom had loved that song when she was younger. Or so she had said. It was one of the few songs t hat Felix refused to mix, simply because it would wreck the smell his mom had put on it during his own childhood.

No literal spell, of course, but one that was seen through a child's eyes. Felix was yanked out of his revelry when the music suddenly stopped. He looked around for the source, since Aeva's expression was one of confusion as well. Yanking his wallet out of his back pocket, Felix strode forward. Flashing the employee a smile, he flipped open his wallet, shutting it before he could actually read anything on the identification inside. "Look man, that's not cool. I'm Felix a card carrying member of the Federal Communications Commission. I know you may not like her takin' your power, but do you see the crowd she's drawing? Wouldn't your boss be pissed if you ruined all the potential customers? Just plug it back in and I'll be sure to buy something once she's done. But no pressure. Just hate to see you reported for aggravated assault on a peaceful gathering of persons..."

When Felix had to spin a story, he could.

She rushed over to the store, following the extension cord like a cartoon character to an explosive device. She held the bright orange corde, slipping her hand around every eleven or so inches until finally, she met almost face to face with Felix, and the employee. She remained quiet, unsure of what was going on. Being on Earth only every once and a while, didn't exactly let her catch the wave on laws and customs involving how things go. She watched in amazement, as Felix, this boy, was shuffling his own money to the person for her to continue. On her planet, that was a sign of proposal and dedication. She was floored!

When the employee angrily swiped at the idea, and grabbed the triple pronged cord out from her hands, Aeva went off light a bottle rocket. She ran at incredible speed, tackling Felix by jumping upon him, presenting her braveheart with hugs, and the occasional side-of-the-cheek kiss! "Oh! thank you! thank you!" She praised, remaining on top of him before she finally realized the attention they had drawn, clearly was being recorded and probably placed on the internet. After all, Felix and Aeva were children of infamous superheroes. Felix more than Aeva; and she was probably sure no one recognized the budding female. "I'm so so so so so so so sorrrryyy!" She yelled, throwing herself off of him, lending her hand afterwards."

She couldn't contain herself. The CD player started back up again, and it was all thanks to Felix. "Why.. How? You did that... that was so brave, and so incredibly..." She thought of what the word was, in English. Her culture had a very specific expression for the male gender of their kind who did something completely epic which went along the lines of: including rape, having babies, and vomiting up pools of chloroplasm. That probably would not only NOT be accepted here, but make her look like a complete idiot. She didn't know what to say. She wasn't sure what to do, but people were still watching.

She grabbed his apparell, pulling it close to her body. "Sexy." She yelled, shaking her hair loose, allowing these wild folicles to cascade against her face.

"Sing with me!"

Things were happening too fast. Felix was just trying to exercise the most basic (and gray area) of the First Amendment and offering to pay for what piddly electricity she'd be using. People obviously wanted to hear her sing and it wasn't like her voice was nails on a chalkboard. He'd gotten a little wiser in his time at the radio station, knew how to talk The Suave and bend rules, especially over something as simple as all this. That was it, just one guy liking what he was hearing and offering to lend a hand. He'd been on the receiving end of a simple act of kindness before, and figured it was his duty to try and pay some of it back.

Then Felix felt like he'd been tackled by a lineback from the Mutant Federation of American Football. The air left his lungs and his mouth with a whooshing sound, turning his body instinctively to the side so that when they fell, his back made contact with the ground, water bottle tinking away as it rolled a few feet to his right. Thank God they made those things resilient. "You're welcome!" he managed, a bit breathlessly, trying to see who his attacker was. Attacker was probably too strong a word - he was getting kisses and felt boobies against him, so it wasn't as bad as getting mugged.

Coming up onto his elbows once the raven-haired woman was off him, Felix offered a lopsided smile and took her hand, using his own strength to lift himself off the ground. He wasn't big, but thick, and he'd probably end up pulling the woman back down on the ground.

A rosy blush came into his face as she continued to assault him with compliments. "Really, it was nothing. The singing was good and people liked it. Too nice a day to walk around in silence, I think," he said, trying to not blabber or make his words too unsure. Felix was going to say more, but then their bodies were pressed together again, an arm slipping involuntarily around her waist.

The mood was ruined when she yelled at him from six inches apart. He tried not to wince, something was obviously off about this woman, but Felix remained amused, not bothering to look at the people who kept watching them. He heard them muttering, but it didn't really bother him.

"Oh no, no. I couldn't. I did it so you could sing, not me. I don't sing." It was probably the lamest statement to come out of him that day, but it was true.
