Hi, I'm Allison Mack, and I'm an award-winning sidekick! You know, some people look down on the whole being-a-sidekick thing, but really, the gig is pretty awesome. You get the credit, you get at least a few fans, and in my case, you get to hang out with a hunky superhero or two almost 24/7. Hello all,
Thank you SO much for being patient, and also helping out wherever you can in regards to getting everybody over here. So far, we're doing okay as far as the list goes. I'm hoping that everybody that was over at GJ will be here by Wednesday, this way I can start opening up holds and applications as soon as then. Here's a few things that I'd just like to get out there now since I'm sure there's going to be questions left and right.
1. Old members are still guaranteed their hold on their celebrity for a week. Their holds will expire on January 19th, 11:59pm EST. Failure to comment the login post, or the mod journal in general in the week timeline will result in their celebrity being up for grabs.
2. Old members do NOT have to re-apply. All I need is their old GJ journal name and that's it. I will add them to the friends button and to the main community. Please be sure to request membership to newline.
3. As long as you have requested membership to the main community, please re-post an introduction with your AIM screen name and whatever else you'd like. I need to rebuilt the buddy list with the usernames from ij since they're all built with gj usernames in the comments. You have one week to post an introduction, and failure to do so will result in removal from the community thus leaving your celebrity open.
4. The same rules apply to this version of newline as it did the other. Consider the slate CLEAN for you old members. You have six weeks FROM TODAY to update. Mark your calendars, February 24th is your next due update. If you just updated on GJ, this still applies since it IS six weeks from then. If you updated more than six weeks ago, consider this your get out of jail free card. We still have the same update topic, which I will post in the moderator journal by the end of the day. YOU MUST HAVE A FRIENDS ONLY POST IN YOUR JOURNAL with a link to ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) bobshaye somehow. It must be dated as of the day you posted it, not years from now or backdated. This is super important and will help us out as far as keeping track of activity goes.
5. Do not forget to make sure you have joined all of our subcommunities. crypnotics and postsecreting are still optional to join. kevinsmith is still in charge of secrets, and we'll start asking for submissions soon. Please be patient, as this is going to be one heck of a transition for everybody involved with the Newline Staff.
6. And finally, you may resume game play. Post in the sub-comms, get online, do whatever you've got to do. I now consider this game up and running, so let's get back to having fun again and bidding adieu to a server that went out with quite the 'eff you' to those of us who kept that place as jumping as it was!
