At the first sign that she had company, Carol was back on her feet, arms clasped behind her back, assuming that it was a superior officer, or the like. She hadn't expected the military to call in any civilian experts to consult with, which was the reason for the surprised/confused expression that settled on her face. Regardless, she was on her feet and on her best behavior.
"Its a pleasure to met you... Dr. Richards? Dr. Storm...?" Now why did that sound familiar? It only took her a few more moments for her to realize that they were with the Fantastic Four, hence the outfits. She gave them both a dubious look. "Begging your pardon, but do you have the proper clearance to be in here?" They weren't wearing the typical protective gear, which caused Carol reason to be concerned. She looked through the glass window at her superiors before turning her attention to the Fantastic Four... Two. Whatever.
"Alright, sure," she agreed easily to Reed's first inquiry. She wasn't very optimistic, to be fair, of what they'd find. Reversed-engineer alien technology wasn't exactly stable in terms of nuclear fall out. She could only imagine what her body had suffered in the blast. And every moment that questions weren't being answered put Carol more on edge.
