Who: Bucky and L.L.
When: July 3rd, 2017; late afternoon.
Where: L.L.'s new apartment, NYC.
What: It's moving day! Bucky helps L.L. move into her new apartment. Confessions are made and relationships change.
Rating: Low.
With a new apartment came getting all her crap out of the old one and into the new. The process of getting her things out of the apartment wasn't practically difficult thanks to a couple of men L.L. hired to bring the stuff down to a rented Uhaul, but moving the things in was another story. Oh, she could have easily had the men move them into the new apartment, but that wasn't an option and when asked, she politely declined and sent them on their way. Much like her phone number, she was limiting the amount of people that knew her new address. It was safer that way, even if it proved less convenient in the long run.
Luckily for her, Bucky agreed to help with her move. So when the day came, she sent him a text to let him know she would be porting in so she could bring him to the apartment. She gave him a wave when she stepped through, the portal swirling patiently behind her as they said their hellos and disappeared once they arrived at their final destination.
"So this is the new place," she said with a flourish of her hand. Her voice echoed in the empty room, bouncing off the hardwood floor and bland cream colored walls. She had already told her landlord that she would be painting the place once she was settled and he gave little resistance. She motioned for Bucky to follow her as she stepped around the apartment so he could get a good look at the place. The kitchen was a decent size with a large island in the middle separating it from the open living space. It was probably the most stylish part of the apartment with its gray cabinets, black appliances and granite counter tops. Several doors were open to reveal a bathroom and two bedrooms, one slightly bigger than the other and sporting a smaller master bath.
"I liked the studio loft layout, but with how often Loki stays over it just didn't seem very practical, you know? Besides, it'd be kinda nice to have a room I can lock up. Keeps the little brat from getting to my clothes." She paused, looking contemplative. "Well, it'd make it harder for him anyway." Because if Loki really wanted something, he would find a way to get it, locks be damned.
She stopped the brief tour in what would be the open concept living room/dining room and turned to face him with a smile. "So what do you think? Not so bad, huh? I'm definitely going to be painting the walls because they are crazy boring, but I probably should get myself settled first. Which is where you come in! I have the Uhaul with all the stuff out front whenever you want to start."
