It wasn't a high-end establishment, but neither was it one of the many seedy strip clubs that populated Gotham's declining neighborhoods, either. The lighting was at least bright enough to see that the place was clean, the bar food was decent, and the bartender - dressed in a bare-chested version of a costume very reminiscent of Booster Gold's - knew how to mix a good cocktail, all themed, all decorated with little capes. The music was not too loud, but the usual uninspired rock anthems, and bump and grind tunes that populated every strip club from one end of the country to another.
Babs had arranged a table in advance, and even an array of whatever they had on their limited menu - one of everything, and keep it coming as long as it was wanted. While she kept it a secret that this was a bridal shower, in respect of the fact that Dinah and Bruce's wedding hadn't made the papers yet, it was clear this was a special occasion, and the large group of women was catered to - not only by the wait staff, who looked suspiciously like certain sidekicks who were now of an older generation, but also by the strippers themselves, many of whom made their way over to their table to say hello in the middle of their striptease.
That each of them was dressed to resemble someone they knew was equal parts disturbing and hilarious.
