Who: Cissie King-Jones and Bart Allen When: Thursday, February 28, 2013, Afternoon Where:Neal's Coffee Shop, 961 Lexington Ave What: Hanging out, catching up Rating: PG at most
There were two sandwhiches on the table and one coffee. She didn't know if Bart drank coffee, it had never really come up before, not in the time they'd been friends. Of course most of that time she'd been in a different state, mostly texts and phone calls with her sitting in the passenger seat of Bonnie's red car/mobile headquarters. But now she didn't have to worry about that.
Instead she just had to wait. She held her phone in one hand, her physics text book leaning up against the container of napkins, her eyes skimming the words but she wasn't really reading it. Not really paying attention. She was too nervous. This was the first time she'd seen him in the longest time. But it said volumes about their friendship that he was happy to see her and after a few text messages had agreed to come and see her, to hang out, in a way that they really hadn't done in... how long had it been? She wasn't certain she'd consider their last time a hang out, not with the adults there. She wondered how Max was. She wanted to hear everything, and there was so much to tell Bart...
She just hoped that he understood. The last months hadn't been easy. And being here, doing all this, it would be easier with a friend. And she couldn't tell herself enough how much she wanted a friend! She had missed him! Closing the book and putting it into her bag, she fiddled with her phone, keeping an eye on the window. Wouldn't be long now...
