Who: Wally West, Bart Allen
What: Bart finds himself without a home and asks Wally if he can crash with him.
Where: Metropolis, Delaware
When: Monday, June 11th, after school [forward dated]
Rating: PG-13 at most
Jay said he could be there in a matter of seconds to help Bart pack. He would move him back to Keystone and Bart could live with him and Joan until Max returned from... wherever it was Max had gone. But Bart had made friends here, in Metropolis. He had a friend in New York and maybe even a girlfriend type in Metropolis... and though distance didn't mean much when you were a speedster, Bart was reticent to move half way across the country, again, away from all of his friends and a school he'd only just gotten used to.
That's when Jay suggested something that sounded so insane that it just might work. Bart was hesitant to try it-- but Jay seemed to think it was the best option for everyone right now.
He could ask to stay with Wally.
After the conversation with Jay, Bart felt a little better-- better enough that he was able to finish packed, stuffing one suitcase full of clothes that had magically come unfolded in the process. He took Grampa Barry's red bow tie too-- it wasn't like Grampa was going to need it any time soon. He packed his video games and grabbed his school backpack. Bart gave the empty Allen household one last look before locking the door and leaving.
Only seconds later, Bart stood on the front stoop of Wally's house and knocked, incessantly, one suitcase lying at his feet with socks and shirt sleeves stick out of it, another under his arm for video games, and his school book bag stuffed so full it looked like it might topple Bart over at any time.
He looked downright dejected when the door opened and was unable to make eye contact, hiding his face under all of his hair. "Grampa and Grandma are gone. ...Can I stay with you?"
